Everything was impressive. Location was convenient. Look of the interior was beautiful, our room was pleasantly spacious, the complimentary breakfast was generous and delicious. The restaurant staff were constantly busy cleaning, replacing, refilling items and it was run like a well oiled machine! The dining room was also beautiful and spacious leading into the restaurant which also had a wonderful bar. In addition, the hotel had a workout room with well functioning equipment which I appreciated. And the inclusion of a self serve laundry room was very convenient. There was very little that was overlooked in guaranteeing a comfortable and stress-free stay. All this at a competitive rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

The temperature control in the room might need to be looked at. Every now and then, it seemed like it was on the blink and not working quite right. But it was easily fixed after some fiddling with the controls.

The entire property is very, very clean. Anything you need is within walking distance. There’s a nice walking path. The trees were wonderful, the parking spaces were wide, the exercise room looked over the street and walking path, so there was always something or someone interesting to look at. The rooms were exemplary in their spotlessness, they smelled clean, had good natural lighting, were very quiet, and had very, very comfortable beds, so important after hospital and medical appointments. The common area between the lobby and the bar/breakfast area was a great place to lounge in, play games, or eat a snack. The gas fire gave great ambience. The breakfast was phenomenal! Happy sigh! I have never seen such an offering for a complimentary breakfast. They had eggs, scrambled and hard boiled, meats, apple cinnamon waffles with so many toppings to choose from. Salsa, cheeses, syrups, fruit, oat, almond, soy and regular milks, scones, carrot cake muffins, gluten free options, already hot oatmeal with 9 to 12 toppings just for that. I loved everything. But for all of the wonderful things this property had going for it, its true treasure is the people who work there. Every person that I spoke with, from the maids, the waitresses, to the hosts at the front desk, was friendly, personable, helpful, and genuinely happy. I didn’t catch everyone’s names, but Thomas, James, Sean, Conner, Lydia, and John were all stellar. Thank you to each of you for making our stay more pleasant that I had ever experienced in a hotel before.

The hotel is a little tricky to get into and get out of, but not terrible, and like many in the area, they charge for parking

Easy walking distance to a big upscale outdoor mall! Neighborhood felt very clean, safe, and walkable. Self-parking super easy in a normal, open-air parking lot onsite. Hotel was clean/well-maintained and the lobby smelled nice. Great to have bar and restaurant in lobby.

I’d love if the restaurant had a few more options for dinner, like more substantial salads rather than just a couple of basics, and maybe a salmon entree with veggies. I’m not a super super health nut but it felt like everything was either too light (vegan minestrone soup) or too heavy.

The room in general was great. Always quiet, clean, and the front desk are always there to help and are really friendly. This is our third stay, and I am forever loyal to this hotel. Seattle Children Hospital discharged my son early and the hotel did not charge a fee for canceling that same day as other hotels do.

The only dislike was the sofa bed. Perfect size but the mattress was not that comfortable. I know these sofa beds are not met for confront so I'm not making a big deal out of it, just saying this for future customers.

We always enjoy the Silver Cloud hotels. The rooms are always clean and the beds are always very comfortable. We love the location and access to the wonderful University Shopping Plaza. We also always enjoy the walking trail next to the hotel.

2. things Number 1 - The clerk at the front desk was VERY brusk as we were checking in. He could definitely work on his 'people skills.' Number 2 - We would love to be able to bring our pug with us, instead of leaving her with our daughter in Ballard.

room was very comfortable, clean quiet and bigger than we'd anticipated. all staff we interacted with at desk, breakfast and in halls were friendly, helpful and nice. location was very convenient to UW campus and accessible to restaurants, downtown, etc.

More fruit/vegetable options at breakfast. whole apples and oranges are available, but not easy to eat

We had to make some unusual rooms changes, length of stay and accomadations due to my scheduled cancer surgery at UW medicine. Everything was taken care of as promised with minor complications and great staff and management assistance. I was not allowed to eat during stay but the breakfast and dinner room was wonderful for my niece and her husband. They truly enjoyed.

Sorry, no complaints. It was a 10 all the way. Im home now and doing very well..

The breakfast offered had a large variety of food and drinks to choose from, so great for anyone! The beds were very comfortable, and the front desk staff offered excellent customer service! Fantastic location near many eateries and shops, and we even found a nice playground for our kids a few blocks away from the hotel.

The one thing that wasn’t so good was the very strong smelling carpeting in the rooms that smelled like chemicals or a very strong adhesive.

Because of limited time, we were unable to stay for breakfast but managed to get yogurt, hard boiled eggs and a couple of bananas to go. Very good and much appreciated!

Think the parking was overpriced. We try to stay at places with free parking and this time, couldn’t find one with the location we needed. And the additional taxes that Seattle charges for hotel stays are always more than expected.
