Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bridgeport

I liked everything about this hotel. Staff and management really cared about guests' needs and paid attention to detail. (e.g., bagels were offered in plastic bags, lots of hand-sanitizers, etc.)

There are two things that could be improved. Most people in this state, including staff at the hotel, don't seem to take Covid as seriously as we do or at least don't care about the well-being of fellow citizens as much as I would like them to. Almost nobody wears a mask. Driving from Boston where 95% of people wear a mask, many of them even in the street, this "masklessness" in WV made me feel unsafe. Also, adding CNN to the TV choices would be wonderful.

I loved front desk...Sarah H... was phenomenal she helped my 85 year old mom even get to the room she helped us with luggage she checked this in she gave me an extra blanket cuz I get cold she was phenomenal the best front desk supervisor that I've ever experienced in a long long long long time God bless that girl

Everything was great the breakfast was wonderful so there was something I really didn't like it was nothing telling you this hotel rocked it it rocked it

Please that this Microtel has started their renovations and its looking fresh and welcoming. I have had good experiences with most Microtels but going thru Beckley on our way down, our usual Microtel has not started any reno's and was very dissapointing. Reviews for Bridgeport we good so we gave it a chance and were very please.

Bed pillows in hotels are way to fat and uncomfortable . Wish there was an option for a smaller, flatter pillow. Hate to travel around with my pillow from home as space in the car is limited.

excellent lighting in bathroom which isn’t that common. Bed very comfortable and close to shops and restaurants. great Tv selection

no complaints and would stay there again when in the area. not sure why booking.com rate better than my member rate at Wyndham though. only other issue was that I booked king but on check-in was told that wasn’t available. it was ok since they had queen which would work

This property was cleaner and better maintained than any of the other five or six properties I’ve stayed in recently. My room was serviced daily, unlike in most of the other higher priced places. The complimentary breakfast was better by far than any of the others (including another Microtel). And the price was the lowest!

The hotel was very nice for the price I paid. It is in a great location and the staff was friendly. The room I stayed in was very small, but it met my needs as a solo traveler. Everything was clean and the hotel was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

This location was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The price of a room was higher than booking.com. I booked through www.booking.com Paid $62 compared to paying $89 at the hotel.

The lighting above the bed was super bright, way to bright. A dimmer would be a great idea for making the room more comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable and front desk staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Check in and out was quick and easy. Walking distance to places to eat and convince stores was also a plus. The samll room was perfect for our one night stay.

The guy who checked us in said I had to have an active card on file. I wanted to pay with cash and he said I could do it in the morning then charged my card..... He didn't say he was going to charge my card....

Clean rooms good location

The door we was to use to get in to the building our keys didn't work. When we ask they said need new batteries. We stayed again a couple weeks later and door still needed new batteries. I was on walked and had to walk all the way around building.
