Hampton Inn & Suites Madison Downtown

Very nice hotel. Comfortable, clean, and quiet. Delicious breakfast. Great location with ease of traveling to and from locations within the city, both driving and walking in the capitol area. Appreciated the safe and secure parking.

I feel the price was a bit steep. I booked on Monday for the next night stay (Tuesday - for one night) and received a prompt confirmation. On Tuesday, prior to traveling, I pulled up information for travel directions and was shocked to see I could have booked the same room for $133.00 less than what I booked the room for the night before. This leaves a bad impression. Lesson learned!

It started with a smile at the front desk during check in. We found the room to be exceptionally clean as well as all the facilities(ie, pool, hot tub, common area, and meal tables). The staff was wonderful and had no problems answering any questions. The hotel itself is centrally located downtown Madison. Having never been there before we weren't sure what to expect...let me say there is no need for a car in this location if you don't plan on travelling far. There are so many good restaurants within 3 blocks of the hotel I don't think I could have eaten at them all. Everybody walks in this town from 6am to 2am, it was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.

I truly can't think of one thing I would change about my stay. Hallways were quiet, breakfast was delicious. All staff and even guest were very polite.

Room was very clean and well-appointed. Breakfast items were different each morning with a great variety of items available. Pool and hot tub were great. Towels were readily available for use and the pool deck was very clean.

Experienced a glitch with checkout - we had pre-paid the bill on booking.com but the hotel also charged the card on file for incidental expenses when we checked out. Customer service was very helpful and was able to resolve the issue once contacted.

Excellent hotel and cost value!! We were able to check in a little early, and check out isn’t until noon! The breakfast buffet is awesome; strong coffee and a variety of fresh fruit items as all as breakfast tacos one day. The pool and hot tub are really big and well maintained, definitely worth a swim. The room is clean, quiet, spacious. Excellent location off state street. Dog friendly, too! Would absolutely stay again!

Location is close to downtown and within walking distance of the capitol. The breakfast was above-average. Room was comfortable and clean.

Parking is available in parking garage, but you have to pay for it. To get in and out of the garage, you need your room key, which can be a little tricky if you already checked out and try to leave (have to take a key with you and leave it in the key drop at the garage exit)

Super friendly staff. Clean and new facilities. Breakfast was good. Waffles, French toast, eggs, oatmeal. Great location for University and State Street.

Concrete pillars in parking garage are dangerous where they are positioned. Easy to scrape your car.

The beds, although they seem to be getting a bit worn down. I had not stayed in a Hampton Inn in over 4 years due to a BAD experience with a Hampton Inn in Milwaukee. However, when the front desk representative called me to see when I would be checking in I was slightly impressed. So the pre welcome was nice

Coffee could be better. I love my morning coffee - so really good coffee is important to me.

Upon entering our room, the temperature was very very high. We tried turning down the temperature and the temperature just kept climbing. I called down to the front desk and within 15 minutes we were set up in a new room. Beyond impressed!

The hot tub with scalding. I enjoy a nice hot hot tub, but my skin could barely handle it this time. The pool was very nice though!

The room is outstanding, they serve hot breakfast eventhough other hotels will just give you cold bags to eat inside the room during this time.
