Hilton Madison Monona Terrace

The locations and the staff are great. The front desk staff went out of their way to help. They were great. The staff helped me out with the internet since I wasn’t a Hilton honors member and gave me an access code. That was very appreciated

It’s a dated property. Needs a facelift. The fitness center was very small and didn’t have enough to really make it a fitness center. The coffee machine was just bad. They really need to get new modern machines. This one is outdated and gives the coffee as tea a very bad taste. Just have a kettle and instant coffee. The AC machine was way too loud. Had to turn it off to get some sleep. It was noisy and wasn’t efficient. You have a be a Hilton honors member to get internet access. The hotel needs to install some internet coverage boosters since the coverage was lost and if you don’t have hotel internet access you are out of luck

We upgraded to top floor for privacy and the lake view was outstanding. Bed and linen very, very, comfy. Shower awesome. Location b/w 2 lakes, with capitol on one side and Monona Terrace on the other, just fantastic! Staff, service, and food excellent, 4 stars.

14floor lounge open but no coffee beverages, etc.. Did receive food vouchers which were used and much appreciated. No complimentary coffee or water in lobby. Pool very small and tile needs cleaning. No microwave in room until we asked to bring up.

The staff was very helpful from check-in to check-out. I was impressed with the room, very spacious and well laid out for a business traveler. The breakfast was very good and not your typical hotel fare, actual real food.

For a 1st time visitor to the property, the parking is a bit weird. Underground garage, but if you don't bring the ticket to the front desk, it's a pain to get in and out without it asking for payment. Most travelers that are familiar with garages, leave the ticket in the car. There should be info during the booking process or a message sent regarding parking prior to guest arrival to explain the procedure.

Location was awesome. Loved the dining/bar area. Room was large enough to spread out. Two double queen bed plus a nice pull out sofa sitting area.

Room could have been a little cleaner. Dust on the television, nightstand and phone areas. But nothing that would keep me from staying here again.

The location is exceptional, one block from the Capitol. The lakeview rooms have a stunning view of Frank Lloyd Wright's Monona terrace and lake Monona. We were visiting Madison for a college graduation and had a wonderful graduation dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

On a cold day we appreciated the in-house parking garage. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. Once we got to the hotel, we walked everywhere that we were going which was super.

The heater in the room was a little noisy and slow to respond to thermostat changes.

Room layout worked very well to accommodate our toddler and provide a bit of privacy for mom and dad, great view of Lake Monona, staff was very responsive, food was good, appreciated pool and fitness center, location allowed very easy walking access to downtown eateries, shops and points of interest.

It’s definitely on the spendy side for us, but in line with other central city hotels.

The mattress and variety of down pillows provided the best sleep ever! beautiful view of the lake. excellent location within walkable distance of many cafes, restaurants, pubs and the Capitol.

would have been nice to have laundry services on site that didn’t require sending off clothing for expensive laundering for those longer stays.

Location was excellent within walking distance of the Capitol and one block from the lake.

Although the whole area is expensive, I found it annoying to pay $200-$300/night for a room and be charged $4 for a cup of help-yourself coffee.

The staff was very helpful, location was very convenient. Had a great view of the State Capitol from the room.
