Receptionist was incredibly helpful, shower pressure was great, bed and pillows were soft, free water refills downstairs

Rooms are rather small, no space to open up luggage, dark lighting, small desk, no credit card payment

Cosy boutique hotel with the lux feel & stylish deco. Great location walking distance to the Beer Street n night markets. Lots of cafes with croissants/coffees in the immediate vicinity for breakfast if u not into local breakfast. 15 mins walk to Train Street. Excellent wifi connection throughout. Love the wood element throughout as everything was carefully designed to reflect Vietnamese heritage including the stone floor tiles on the corridor. Cosy shared space at the lobby for hanging out or doing some work/reading. A lovely kitchen with water dispenser available to top up bottles. Tucked away in a little alley giving it a local vibe cos right next door is a home of a local family going about their routine. Oh and you get coffee n tea bags in the room. Shower n toilets r separate cubicles n equipped with toiletries n toothbrush etc.

Nothing. I had read on some other reviews about the noise from outside, as in the rooms didn't have soundproofing but that wasn't a big problem. You do hear some voices but this place is in a quiet zone after 11 pm so the noise does die down. Given it is in the centre of where all the action is, most hotels of the calibre and in this area would have similar issues. But the noise didn't bother me at all.

I met the property owner so know the backstory - her interior design, her friends architecture. It's a small hotel on a crampted site with fascinating design and architecture. It seems to me each room is a separate pod. I loved the materials; local hardwood polished concrete sinks and floors, glass fibre lampshades. Little piles of star anise as air freshener! It is as if my room was a cabin on a glamourous private yacht. Charming, courteous staff with an informal atmosphere that suited me well. It must only be 100m from the complete madness of 'beer street', but is in a oasis of calm at the end of an alley. (Hard to find though!). (btw the seafood street-food stall for across the entrance to the alley is outstanding!).

Don't stay here is you like vast rooms, acres of storage and flatscreen TVs. You'll only be disappointed.

We had a great stay at Concon house. We stayed in the deluxe double room, it is on the smaller side - but when you are in Hanoi exploring the city you aren’t spending much time in there at all. Bed was comfortable, very clean and the air conditioning worked well. The staff were very friendly and helped organise transfers to get to Ninh Binh. Location was great - we loved being so close to the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter and beer corner, but don’t let it put you off as it was very quiet and nicely tucked away.

Location is perfect, quietly tucked away but amongst the action of the old quarter. Close to good coffee and food. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are compact but have all the basics you need and enough room for two. Comfortable, firm bed. Shower is sensational. Liked it so much we have rebooked for the end of our trip.

No dealbreakers. Wish we could have sat on a balcony but it’s only 20cms wide!

Hotel and room is really comfortable and has a homey vibe. Most of it is wood furnished which we really loved, has a modern touch to it as well. Hotel staffs are accommodating and helpful all throughout our stay. Helped us with organizing day tour. The location is good as it is not noisy, street food, coffee shops and beer are a few minutes walk towards outside the hotel. Definitely, will recommend this hotel to those who want to stay in Hanoi area.

There was so much to like! Right in the central location of the old quarter, but down a little driveway that has a quiet zone after 2300 so it was really peaceful. Enjoyed the atmosphere and aesthetic + cleanliness of the room. Cool view out the balcony door (although you can’t actually step out onto the balcony, door is for view/airflow purposes). Great value for money.

Quite a small room for two people with suitcases but it’s manageable.

Great hotel, zen bubble inside crazy Hanoi. The decoration and design is super nice, kinda like a boat cabin, the room has everything you need and service at reception is great. If you’re hesitating because of the reviews saying the room is small, it’s not like you’re gonna play bowling there anyway, you’ll be out all day exploring so to me it was totally fine. I will definitely recommend that hotel.

I wish they had breakfast options but there are some coffee places outside

I stayed here on three separate occasions as I used the place as my base while I explored Northern Vietnam. The hotel is centrally located in the old quarter, close to all the bustling spots, but still very quiet, allowing for a good night rest. The design of the hotel is unique, the staff are nice and the rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities (safe, fridge, hairdryer, shower gel...).

Amazing stay. It's located in the busy streets of Hanoi, but it's "hidden" in a back alley, so it gives quiet and cosy vibes. Perfect to stay after a long night of partying. Comfortable bed, cool lightning ambience in the room. Wish they provide more wardrobes or hanging racks in the room. But other than that, it's a good hotel choice!
