Extremely close to Santa Monica Pier. They had plenty of breakfast options. The room’s beds were as advertised, queen size. You needed a key to enter the elevator, and then again to enter the area where the rooms are, which made us feel secure. Free on site parking. The room was clean. Towels were neatly folded in the bathroom. bathroom has been recently renovated. Shampoo and Conditioner in the shower were nice. not those tiny travel size bottles that always smell badly. Free Wi-Fi. Pool was open.

Some of the reviews alluding to “paper thin walls” have merit. We could hear every time surrounding toilets flushed. They did have a roll away bed, which was appreciated. Online it said there was a sofa bed, which there is, it is just locked to prevent use. The sofa bed was thin enough there’s a very clear indention from where/how it folds up. It made trying to sleep on it rather uncomfortable even for our youngest child. Our children, ages 10,14 and 15, ended up sleeping 3 to a queen bed. If we had known prior this would be the case we would have opted for a different place to stay. We try to book our hotels based on comfort as we are traveling for several weeks with 5+ hours drive every other day.

The location is perfect. Very close to Santa Monica boulevard. We walked to the pier, but the bus is also convenient so you save your energy to walk on the boulevard. We were doubting if it would be save around the hotel but we were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was and have not seen strange or homeless people. Mc Donalds around the corner is very handy for the first night of arrival. After that we usually took some very good dinner from the supermarket nearby. Breakfast can be rated by some people as poor. But I think that for the price paid and the location it is ok. Especially if you compare what you pay for breakfast in a restaurant. But there are on walking distance enough places to get some more healthy breakfast. For us it was really ok. You could eat eggs, there was fresh fruit, water and if you liked you could make freshly baked waffles yourself. Not healthy but very nice with some coffee in the morning :-). There was enough space outside to eat. We also had one swim one morning in the pool, but in April it was still a bit cold. However after a while it was ok. We had a big family room with two bedrooms and one bathroom near the parking lot. Very quiet and spacious. Concerning cleaning. You have to be pro active on that yourself. They do not come automatically, but if you hand in the note at the reception that you want anything of every thing done, you have a clean room at the end of the day. But as said, you must take action yourself on that. Don't understand why they still use covid as a reason for not cleaning?

The outside place to eat breakfast is some kind of patio where a lot of rooms are. If people have turned on their airco you are eating with a lot of noise and warm wind. Not very pleasant.

The Santa Monica comfort inn is very easy to find, the room is nice and large, comes with a tv, a fridge and a microwave and a little table. It was very quiet, even though it's close to the road. The parking is just behind and there is plenty of space available. If you don't have a car, the bus to Santa Monica or Downtown LA runs quite frequently and is a few minutes walk from the hotel. This bus also goes quite close to Hollywood Blvd. If you don't mind walking further the metro station is maybe 15-20 min walk? Shower was decent, so no complaints. Breakfast is served in the morning and you may need to look for it a little bit but is easy to find. It is quite simple though, so I usually brought some bagels, bread and peanut butter. Coffee, tea, juice, milk is all there; toaster, bread, cereal and a waffle iron also. Ice machine near the lift/stairs. Wifi worked fine but sometimes apple has some issues logging in, this is an apple thing :) Staff was very friendly and helpful. No weird smells from AC or noisy, but I sleep without AC. If you want you can open the window too. Drive to LAX was 20 minutes in the late morning.

Overall the hotel needs some refurbishing, the carpet in the room looked a bit gross and not something I would want to walk on with bare feet, so I just kept my flipflops on. Might just be that I prefer wooden floors that are easy to keep clean. Price might be a bit high for what it was in total, but I still would keep this as an option in the future.

I really like and appreciated the kindness from Raul I believe it was. There was a mix up with our booking but he still helped us out so we would be able to stay instead of turning us away. I will forever be grateful to him because I got to go to a once in a lifetime event thanks to his kindness. Everyone was very nice and welcoming, the breakfast was really good and filling and the facilities were very well kept, an overall great place.

My only complaint is when we sent our note for house keeping and nobody had stopped by our room all day but another staff member from housekeeping was kind enough to help us out so for that I’m thankful.

Breakfast was a good variety, and the staff was really good at refilling areas and moving around the breakfast crowd. We didn’t request for housekeeping, but all the cleaners were very nice. Also, the gentleman that checked us in at night, I believe his name is Robert or Robin, was very friendly and welcoming despite us checking in at 12am.

The construction was distracting. I know it’s necessary to improve the space, and appreciated the notice that there will be construction, but it would have been nice to have it completed. Maybe next time we visit we’ll see it done!

I liked they included breakfast with the stay. The breakfast options were delicious. Staff was really nice the couple times I had to speak with them. I like the sense of security I got with needing the room key to operate the elevator to go up to 2nd or 3rd floors. I took my sister and they set us up on second floor I felt safe and confortable. It was clean and the beds were comfy. All the ammenities worked. No issues even though there was construction being done we had no disturbance by it.

Only thing was the air system didnt seem to work that great. They also have conditions they dont tell ylu about when you book. They can charge you up to an additional couple to few hundred dollars even after you have left if they find something wrong with the room. Aside from these 2 things there was nothing else we had issues with.

Great property with good location

The room had a bad smell and there were not hot breakfast provided. Just a bagged breakfast provided due to the current COVID-19 situation. I had to wait to be checked in since the system was down. A homeless guy lurking around the property, looking into the trash and observing the cars Parked on property parking lot. Just weird and scary. I told the hotel people and they knew about this guy!

Room is perfect for two. Huge and comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Desk for work and big flatscreen TV. A Sofa is also in the room. Bathroom average hotel size, just the amenities (shampoo, conditioner and lotion) could be of better quality. Hotel appears more like an Inn, but has excellent Wifi and included parking and breakfast (didn't try it, though). Solid hotel at a good rate, if you're on a budget, this is the best choice in my opinion. Location was great, just 10 min. to the Beach by car, Malibu, Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills aren't too far. Neighbourhood has several Target stores, CVS, McDonald's, gas station etc.

Was excellent for the price category, definitely a recommendable place to stay. :)

Being a solo female traveler I felt safe in and around my room. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

My room was right across from the pool and breakfast room. Sometimes it got a little noisey.

Great location, direct buses connecting UCLA/Westwood/Santa Monica Beach/Venice Beach/Sawtelle/Westfield Century City, Carl's Jr 1 minute walk away. Plenty of grocery stores, cafes, pubs, restaurants 10 min walk. The room walls are very well soundproof. The microwave and mini-fridge were very useful for me

The air conditioner made a tiny bit noise. But it was a reasonable level and totally fine for me, and the white noise even helped me falling to sleep. After the booking was made with a credit card, the first night price was taken immediately. I didn't realize this detailed procedure so got the declining of my credit card (the issue was solved soon later). It would be better guests get this point clear.
