Best Western Melbourne Airport

So you are looking to refresh, before or after, a long flight and need an overnight stay somewhere. So what are the prime characteristics of this overnight accommodation! Convenient close proximity to the airport, free shuttle to and from, not too expensive, clean room with a comfortable bed and good aircon, rejuvenating breakfast with a range of options in a pleasant dining environment. Oh! Yes, speedy, friendly reception staff as you will be tired and impatient. So how did the Best Western at Melbourne Airport fare on our score card? Probably 9 out of 10 with a point lost for the pathway to the rooms being overdue for renovation.

The pathways to the rooms are overdue for renovation as currently retain water after rain.

The Best Western is in a great location being convenient for the airport and with a 24hr reception desk (I believe). The room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The service was largely good (first room service delivery was missing cutlery; second was "abrupt"). Room service quality was good (though the latte was a machine latte). Housekeeping was good and friendly. Would stay again for the airport convenience to reduce stress on departure transit times, etc. The front desk will organise airport transit if needed (I didn't use as we had a hire car). Free parking. Close to local shops/laundromat/petrol station).

A map and recommendation on getting to room and where to park would have been useful on arrival. Location wouldn't be my recommendation for wider Melbourne tourism.

The Shuttle service was fantastic! It was a short wait to be collected and the driver was friendly & helpful. That evening we were even able to Shuttle back to the Airport in order to catch the Skybus into the city, which made life easier (and cheaper). We were able to check-in early to our room, which was comfortable, clean, surprisingly spacious and everything we needed for one nights stay.

There isn't anything of interest in the immediate area, and public transport services are out of walking distance. Not a problem if you're staying to be near the airport however, just something to note.

Free Shuttle pick up was more than expected; arrived in 10 mins, very friendly driver with high level of professionalism. Motel staff could not do enough to ensure our family had a great stay. The room was a good size, comphy beds along with being close to the local pub, bakery and supermarket within walking distance. Late checkout was no problem. Was like staying in a quiet little township but so close to the airport. Thank you to all the lovely staff and the shuttle driver. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

There was nothing not to like considering it was great for an overnight stay to catch another flight.

We have used it many times. Love the staff they are so friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus picked us up from the train for no charge. Driver was chatty and courteous. We had an amazing meal in the restaurant and gad cut price drinks got happy hour. Lovely stay. Nice and quiet just far enough away from airport Highly recommend

It is open 24 hrs. For all night arrivals as La and departures. I did hear rolling wheels go past our room a few times but you could always ask to be at the end of a row or under the conference rooms.

The staff were incredibly helpful. We'd received a message when we landed in Melbourne after flying from the UK to say there was a problem with our next early morning flight. We were struggling to get hold of the airline so the team on reception made the call for us and helped us get the answer we needed so we could actually sleep that night!

We didn't read the confirmation properly so hadn't realised there was a free shuttle bus from the airport and got ripped off by a taxi driver. Not the hotel's fault at all. We used the shuttle the next morning to go back to the airport and it was great. The only reason I'm mentioning it is to save somebody else being as dim as we were!

i unfortunately didnt get the drivers name but after a delayed flight, the man helped us find the location of the pickup easily and took us through mcdonalds upon request as we had just got off a 10 hour flight and were starving!! he was so kind to do that, and had great customer service!! hotel has easy check in, nice facilities, decent space in our room which comfortabley fit 2. our driver again in the morning back to the airport for our next flight was again so lovely and helpful. would definitely stay again on my next travels.

We are a family with young kids and this is the perfect hotel for us as we wanted to be near to the airport to send off my mom. The rooms are modern, clean and functional. the pool is of good size, my kids love it. it is located in a quiet suburb but there is plenty of options for shops and dining nearby. there is a park just beside the hotel which is handy for kids. the best for us is the service of the staff especially the shuttle to and from the airport. it was punctual for drop-off and it took us very short wait (less than 5 mins) to arrive to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. this is now my fave hotel near the airport.

I was staying overnight as i had an early flight the next morning. One of the staff picked me up from the airport then saw 2 or 3 ppl waiting to check in so checked me in. The room was like a little self contained unit, it was pretty quiet except for noisy neighbours loading or unloading their cars. The restaurant was open on site or you could order room service. Loved the smart TV with netflix! The room was spacious, the bed comfy, tea/coffee facilities, immaculately clean, bar fridge In the morning i got a lift back to the airport by the friendly staff. They are all welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Neighbours need to keep it down, esp if arriving late or leaving early.

From the friendly greeting on arrival, to the dining area and helpful staff , to the amazing chef, as our food was amazing, (try the gnocchi and steak ) to the clean room and the free shuttle bus to airport was wonderful. Not to mention the long term parking onsite while we have a holiday in Tasmania and return pickup we get to return. Value for money and very happy with their beautiful service. Thank you for our beautiful stay.
