The convenience of this hotel after a long haul flight can't be beaten. So nice to clear customs, walk five minutes and collapse into a comfortable bed. Also, our connection to Brisbane was cancelled the following day, but because we were at the airport, we could accept an earlier flight. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was alongside a family who were very VERY loud (kids screaming at parents at 11pm). Not ideal when all you want to do is SLEEP. Used earplugs and the problem was solved. It would be helpful if staff allocated family rooms away from quiet couples, business travellers etc.

Friendly efficient front staff, free wifi, spacious room, comfy beds, good bathroom with generous toiletries and of course convenience of location straight across road from airport with a covered walkway bridge

Our room had an unpleasant damp mold smell on arrival, we reported to reception staff who promptly moved us to another nearby room so it was sorted quickly and put down likely to water leakage from recent roof work. The restaurant is under renovation so temporarily located in a different area so not running at its best capacity, the food was perfectly fine. Perhaps rooms rates should be slightly reduced whilst hotel is under renovation and mentioned when booking

The room was very comfortable with the higlight being the windows that we could watch the planes taking off and landing.

Myself and my family have previously stayed at the Park Royal and were blown away by the restaurant and it's outstanding food. When I booked this time we were looking forward to indulging in a wonderful meal again. This was not to be, due to restaurant renovations the hotel is offering a buffet in another space of the hotel. The food was limited and frankly awful, and at $55 per person a complete rip off. The options were very limited and the desserts were pre boxed slab cakes with nothing else!

We had breakfast included and wanted it in the room for 0600-0630. We were happy to pay the room service charge. We were phoned at 0545 (our wake up call) to say we would be charged the full price for the breakfast unless we came down to the restaurant. Tried to change this on the phone to no avail so ended up having a very quick breakfast in the restaurant. We would have had more time if we could have had it as room service. This was disappointing. We were aware the ground floor restaurant was under renovation but this shouldn’t have affected what we had booked.

The location was perfect for a traveller like me travelling for over 15 hours with a 5 year old. Didn't had to walk far at all to and from the hotel for the flights. Easy to locate and access. Smooth check-in and check-out service. They realise that travellers are tired and need to get to their room asap. The extra touch of the front desk person in giving me a paperclip to change my sim was wonderful. In room dining at 1am with a smile was worth the money.

Didn't find any water bottles in the room. Not a deal breaker, but was expecting them. Maybe I didn't look hard.

The hotel's situation is the best! Can't beat it. It was very comfortable, we have a spacious family room with a king bed and 2 single beds and the kids loved seeing the planes take off and land from their beds! The rooms are fairly quiet considering the foot traffic of travelers coming and going at all hours of the day or night.

It's a shame that the pool and the the gym were both out of order for renovations. I chose this hotel to stay at with the family (2 kids under 5yo) so we could alleviate some stress before a long haul flight to Europe and was looking forward to the kids blowing some steam in the pool that afternoon only to find out that it was closed to renovation upon check in.

we arrived on Friday n were to b departing on a 6.30am flight. we has left the hotel, gone across the road only to find out the bad news n we wld not b departing until 3.00pm. what do we do? i rang the hotel back n they let us back into our rm with a late check out n we got some much needed rest as i had flown in on a delayed flight fr Alice Springs. Yr staff were amazing n understood our situation, we had breakfast n rested uhntil we left. amazing, n i was not 100% so tk u. Great service the view was impressive, watching all those planes

I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at this hotel and we finally got to! :) The onsite Restaurant and Bar had great options that weren't too badly priced. The Beef Cheeks were AMAZING! The restaurant staff were excellent. We were lucky enough to get a room with a view of the runway which was fantastic. Loved every minute of laying in bed watching the plans take off and land. The picture window was magic.

The rooms were very corporate which made for a nice but boring room. The pillows were terrible. Tea and coffee selections were very basic. My partner couldn't get 1 of the free to air TV channels to watch the cricket and when he called down to reception was told it was on in the bar and no further help provided. For the price we paid for the room surely we should get access to ALL the free to air channels?? The price for what you got was not value for money. Obviously you are paying for the exceptional location with pricing. Not sure if I would stay here again. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that are much more well priced within 5-10 mins walk from the terminals.

We had been to the UK for 6 weeks and were returning home to Melbourne. Flight was late so decided to book at Park Royal Hotel for one night before our journey home the next day. It was a very good choice. Just a few minutes walk from the terminal, very friendly staff and a lovely spacious, clean and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

I couldn't find anything not to like about it, it was really very nice. Very convenient for travelers returning to Australia. We have stayed with Park Royal in Singapore in the past and Melbourne was of the same high standard.
