Ottawa Embassy Hotel & Suites

they let me check in early as always they are very condiderate…the housekeepings are friend as well as the reception and kuya pinoy help me with my luggage…overall it was a very good stay again as always..

Our room was spacious. TV worked well. We had a nice balcony. Bed was excellent. Location was very good to get around by foot to the Rideau Canal or downtown. The station UOttawa of the O-train can easily reached by foot from the hotel. The hotel offered parking for a fee including choice of underground or outside parking. The bathroom was very good. Air condition was in times a little noisy but it worked well. Elevators worked well. Staff at the reception was helpful and excellent. There is a restaurant in the hotel offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We missed a safe in the room though it would have been possible to use safe storage at the reception.

The room was spacious and the two queen beds and linens were terrific!

The room was too warm!

Excellent location. Perhaps the decor could have been a little brighter - the tiles not black but some lighter colour, light coloured walls and so on, which would have given the suite a more cheerful appearance. A couple of additional small pots, and an oven safe container in the kitchen would have been handy, and a small sponge for washing dishes as one seldom had a dishwasher load after a meal. We had to go to the dollar store to get the sponges and have left you the rest!! Also, it would have been convenient to have some bars somewhere to hang the damp towels, which we reused for the time we were in the hotel. We had to put them on the back of the chairs in the dining nook area, which I don't think was an ideal solution. Otherwise, no complaints. The staff in Reception were most friendly, welcoming and helpful. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay and would definitely revisit you next time we are in Ottawa.

Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. Parliament Hill is only a 10-minute walk. The double queen bedrooms were big and spacious with a kitchenette. Friendly staff and the check-in was fast.

Had no major issues. House keeping should double check the coffee pods, mugs and glasses.

The bed hight is spectacular, there is a general good atmosphere and facilities, a nice balcony with a view over the city. Location is central. Staff is very nice.

I would normaly complain about the lack of a fridge. But the room temperature compensated it. It was so cold, in mid July. Even with the fan turned off, the ventilation system brought freezing air into the room, which the open balcony door couldn't overcome. So, there is need of a fridge in the room and a warmer ventilation air.

Location was excellent close by to good areas for restaurants - Elgin Street. Within a mile lots of sightseeing. Very walkable city. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was good size (could use a little more furniture). Bed comfy and shower good! A little balcony was nice for fresh air and a view of the city. The Bistro in the hotel had nice options for breakfast as well as a cute little place for a night cap. Laundry facilities helpful, on site parking reasonable price

Need to have ice buckets. Had to fill a plastic bag to take my room. A little more furniture in room.

I loved the ambience of the hotel room, I was in awe at how much space there were in this room and it was well worth my money. I also loved how clean and nice the cleaning staff were.

I didn't like that when I arrived late in the night and was unsure about the security deposit fee when checking in the staff on shift was very rude in his deliverance of information, if he was polite yet firm that would've made my response better. It was just frustrating that after a long drive and I want to check in and relax my first impression was of this staff being rude of the information in which I did not see when I booked my room.

My partner and I were glad that we got the very top floor with a lovely spacious room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There were kitchen utensils and nice sofas. We were surprised that our room had a balcony area which was really good. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

There were mug marks on the living room table. It looked like it was not cleaned properly. The balcony area floor could be better. The bed was comfortable but it was very creaky. One thing that bothered us the most was the AC inside the our room being too loud. It looked like the fan was broken or was hitting something. If we had not turned the AC off in our room, we would not fall asleep. We had to keep our door open to let the AC in the living room reach our room. I tried calling the front desk to raise our concern about the AC being too loud, but no one picked up the phone. We did not bother going to the front desk in person because they seemed too occupied and we were not sure if there were available rooms for us to be transferred.

It was a great location for us, near all the places we wanted to go to. I loved that we could park at the City Hall right at the corner so we could save on parking fees. Then the room was perfect for the three kids, my mom and I. loved the separated room and the kitchen. I just couldn’t figure out the kettle though. The room was very clean and spacious, really like a little appartement.

I just wished there was a swimming pool and a sauna :)
