Heritage Hotel Antique Split

How can one not praise this hotel … from the delightful, informative and kindness of the staff , the cleanliness of the room we had ( with stunning window vistas of the Palsce cathedral and bell tower ), and the array of homemade breakfast goodies , to eggs as one wished , to delicious choices of coffees and teas … nothing lacking at all . They gave information of historical overview of the Roman ruins and of Diocletian palace and its surroundings to start us off on initial visit to Split . The location of hotel was excellent as well and the staff was even willing to meet our driver’s car to help with luggage and guide us thru the curving paths to the hotel and at end of our trip in Split , they were willing to bring us to our ferry port ! Now that is great device

Nothing to complain !

Jan and his wonderful colleagues could not have have been more helpful and kind. We arrived very early on the ferry from Italy drenched from a sudden downpour. We were given our room and breakfast straight away even though we were not expected until the afternoon. We even got an upgraded room. The breakfasts are so, so good. Thank you Sanja for all your great creations. Daniella on Reception was more than kind and helpful especially on the final day when we should have been hanging around waiting for our flight home. She directed us towards the lovely town of Trogir which is on the way to the airport and where her equally helpful brother minded our bags while we explored.

Nothing, everything was excellent

The staff were top notch! The service was very good and nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed the location, being incredibly central and close to all major attractions. We were also easily able to get a taxi or a tour to explore the surroundings. Fantastic breakfasts, I can really recommend their scrambled eggs and the lemon curd pancakes.

The rooms were rather small, but this was in line with the photos shared. The only major downside was that the smell of the bathrooms would not be great in the mornings, as if the drainage was somehow blocked. The water in Split has a lot of sulphur in it, and unfortunately the smell penetrated into our room in the morning.

Amazing location, right in the heart of the old city walls of Split. Easy walking distance to Riva waterfront, shops, restaurants, ferries. The rooms were nicely appointed, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were very nice and spacious. The staff (Anna, Jan, Daniella) were excellent and so helpful with suggestions on what to do, restaurant recommendations, calling for reservations, printing out helpful materials, etc. They really made the stay that much more memorable. Breakfast chef did such a nice job each day and took pride in creating her custom egg and crepe orders.

Not much. There is no elevator so be prepared to climb stairs, though I see this as a plus. No real view from the hotel rooms, but that is ok given the location.

Everything about our stay was incredible from start to finish. The staff were absolutely amazing - they had the best recommendations, were always there to help whenever we needed and they treated us like family! Couldn’t’ recommend this hotel enough - will definitely be back. Also the chocolate pancakes were the best, Jan and all the other staff members know that we loved these :) the location is also perfect and just steps away from the bell tower, everything across the board was 10/10.

The best among all stays I had in this trip in Croatia and Montenegro. First of all, a warm welcome by Filip upon arrival. He gave a 10-15min walk-through on the city, history and facility (even with handout!!!). Filip knows it all in Split. All the restaurants he recommended were top-notch and affordable. The hotel itself is located close of the west gate and right in front of the major tourist destinations within the ancient palace, which is probably 10 mins walk from the ferry and bus stations. Whats surprising to me is that the internal layout is well furnished that comes with ritual shower gel and shampoo. Its a very comfy stay and totally worth it! Filip as a host is definitely one of a kind - I highly recommend this hotel!

In the middle of the historical center of the city, close to main places to visit, it is a great place to accommodate. It maintains the traditional appearance in accordance with the location. The stuff is very very kindle. it's not possible to access by car, however, in the check-in, they offered us free parking for the rental car and they gave us the option to carry our baggage. They gave us recommendations to visit different places around and planned some excursions. The breakfast is amazing, they prepared some scrambled eggs and pancakes for us. At the check-out, they gave us some presents and postcards. I hardly recommend it.

The location is perfect, right in the center of town. Staff is super friendly and helps out with everything you need, feels like a family. Our flight was cancelled and they arranged for another night and pushed the check out so that we could stay as long as possible. They are also very knowledgeable of tours and can help with reservations. Rooms are normal size with good floorplan. Air-conditioning is good.

The bed was a little stiff and needs another mattress on top. Breakfast was good but with lesser options than the larger hotels. Can be a little complicated if you have some allergies. The staff however does everything they can to help out.

Location - the hotel is in the heart of the old city / Diocletian's Palace. The whole area is pedestrian only and we had a lot of large luggage, but Jan was very helpful in organizing transfer from the airport and he met us at the entrance to the city, taking our luggage to the hotel and then up to the room. He was great! You pay for the service, but it is worth every penny. The hotel is one part of a courtyard where there are two restaurants so it is easy to find dinner! It is just one block to the heart of the palace and a couple of minutes more to the waterfront. Breakfast was good. Jan was very helpful again in suggesting places to visit, restaurants to eat, and then in arranging again for the transfer to the car rental near the airport.

Not something that we did not like - but something to keep in mind: the hotel is in the heart of the old city. It would not be very accessible for anyone with disabilities. It is also built on several floors with steep stairs and no lift. Jan was great in taking our luggage up to our room, but it would not be easy for someone with difficulty going up or down stairs. Bathroom note: the bathroom is clean and has everything ... but it takes some figuring out to work out how the shower controls work! Design over functionality!

Great location for our last 2 days in Croatia after spending 1 minth on the islands of Brac + Hvar. The hotel is probably your best bet if you want to be in the center of Diocletian Palace. We had a room on upper floor facing the clock tower and the views were amazing. I was paying dbl of ground floor but worth every penny. The colleagues were great! On day of departure they even walked with us at 5:30am to get our cab. I'd stay here again definitely.
