Hotel Gustav-Stresemann-Institut

Location is in a quiet and green part of the city. The breakfast spread is good and you can request for vegan and gluten-free options. The staff is very nice. Commuting with public transport to the city or to some other places on the other side, is possible with a little bit of walking like for 7-8 minutes to reach the U-bahn/Tram stops. There is a bus stop also right outside the hotel but I saw a bus there, line 638, only once during my stay, so I don't know how that works.

I took the single room and it was adequate for sleeping in. But the bathroom was very small. I personally had no issues with the decor but it is from the 1980's, if decor is an important factor for anyone reading this review.

Some of the evening staff in the restaurant does require some training in customer relations. One evening shift was excellent, the next day, not so. Demanding that the customers get up and go right now, without a prior warning - i.e. expecting that patrons relaxing in the evening should watch the clock themselves - is downright rude, putting it very mildly. The rest was excellent in every sense, so one one bad apple did not really diminish the rating.

Came here for a Kunstrasen which was being held in a nearby park. So glad I chose this hotel. Location could not have been better, hotel was extremely clean and room was very comfortable. I was worried initially because as a single guest it only gave me the option for a single bed but I slept very well and had no issues. Staff were always happy to help and the hotel is near a 247 convenience store as well as a tram.which takes you into the centre of Bonn in a few minutes. Great stay - thank you!

Yes the breakfast was good which was standard as in most hotels, the few times that I ate there.

1. the rooms were expensive considering breakfast was not included and upon adding the breakfast cost felt it was on the higher side. 2. for a long stay of 2 weeks - I felt a special flat rate could have been considered as opposed to fluctuating rates. 3. Would be good to encourage more English speaking even if its just a small bit and have English brochures in the room. had a hard time trying to translate. 4. could not use phone in the room as there were no instructions or was in German so had to walk to reception to enquire whatever I needed. Do have English component too; same applies to the lifts.

Clean, calm and safe place. Tasty food, nice rooms and nice outside yard. Parking place is near the hotel. We would come one more time and recommend this place.

Administrator didn't speak English. Was difficult to communicate and check-in. Later the English speaking person came, so we got all the information.

Excellent "University Hall of residence" style accommodation. Rooms fairly small but perfectly adequate. Good breakfast in the morning and bar in the evening.

Some air flow through the room, or perhaps air conditioning could help. Single pillow on the bed was very thin and inadequate.

The double room was very clean and spacious and comfortable for working too. The hotel has a bar in which I was able to get a pizza at late hours, which was important to me since I checked in late. The hotel also has a restaurant with meals (buffet) at specific hours, and the meals are of good quality.

The dinner was finishing at 20:00 which is a bit too early for me and due to work it was hard to arrive in time for it.

Staff was very professional and helpful. It was very silent and calm environment with a beautiful garden.

Nothing. But suggestion about breakfast, it can be diverse little bit. I stayed 6 days and it was the same every morning.

Excellent breakfast. Elegant buffet with delicious options. Absolutely delightful. Reception was a breeze. I’m a solo traveler and appreciated the security measures. The reception area is spacious and tastefully appointed. Relaxing atmosphere throughout.
