Living Hotel Kanzler

Great location, just 2 minutes from the underground station. The room is very comfortable with a little kitchen. Good size wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Complimentary water, beer, tea/coffee (although wasn't replenished everyday during the second of week of stay) is a nice touch. Quiet location and a good quality wi-fi connection. Air-conditioning was also great to have during the hot summer days.

This is an apartment hotel and every day housekeeping is not expected. However, towels could have been changed twice a week instead of once a week. Also, the garbage could have been taken out and toilette rolls checked twice a week instead of once. I believe housekeeping was done twice a week when I stayed at the hotel in 2018. It is possible to get additional towels etc when one asks at the reception. However, it would have been better not to have to ask.

Large, comfy room with a mini kitchen and plenty of storage space, with good soundproofing. Reception area and hallways very well presented to high decor. Just on edge of town, but easy to walk 10 mins to centre. Very welcoming and checkout staff. Liked the feel that this used to be a place for business guests near to ex-capital city buildings.

Bathroom door didn't close, and no extractor fan. Tight space between large bed and surrounding fixtures.

Beautiful large spacious room with separate desk, sofa/armchairs and dining areas and a large new spotless bathroom. The free minibar and coffee/tea facilities were great, and the coffee was particularly fine. The fridge, mini-kitchenette and mini-dishwasher were useful during my 6 days stay. The hotel is conveniently located within 15 minutes walk from the conference centre and 20 minutes from the city centre, both accessible from the beautiful promenade along the Rhine.

It was a long stay so we appreciated the space and all the kitchen facilities. It was more like a small flat than a hotel room. The design added to the sense of space. Good fittings and an excellent bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only slight problem was our room not being cleaned. We did not know when this would be, so may have had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. The room was eventually cleaned and the bedding changed, but it would have been helpful to have been given an idea of when the cleaners would come, especially as we expected them weekly and they only came after more than two weeks.

Good breakfast. Super bathroom with hot shower It was very helpful to be able to leave the car in the underground car park for a couple of hours after checkout time while we looked around Bonn. The city centre was only 15 mins walk away.

The restaurant was closed except for breakfast (due to Covid), though I understand there is a plan to reopen it. It would have been nice to have a more comprehensive city map e.g. the sort a tourist office normally give out, though the very local street map at least helped us get our bearings. I was a little worried about security in the car park - there seemed to be no gate on entry, and no visible cameras (or they were very well hidden), but in the event no-one tried to break into the car.

the room was nice, clean, pretty quite even despite to the fact that behind my window was a storage. The hotel is walking distance for a conference center. Staff is nice and friendly, prepared invoicing and dealt with all request pretty fast.

the building is a bit old so windows are not really isolate good enough. It was pretty fresh when outside was cold and windy. Pretty high rates over the weekend...

Overall the hotel was great. The room was clean and spacious as shown. They had 2 free drinks at the mini bar in the room (bottled water and beer). Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back again.

Breakfast was good but pretty basic options for the price. I wish they had more variety.

We stayed here for one night to be close to our friend's wedding party venue. I honestly did not have high expectations as this old hotel, but it was well maintained, the rooms were spacious, the in-room drink service and fron desk staff exceeded German hotel standards, making our stay a comfortable one.

This hotel provides an excellent and diverse breakfast, with a lot of options for food and drinks. There is also plenty of space for sitting. The hotel is conveniently close to the S-Bahn connecting to Bonn Hauptbahnhof. You can also walk easily in about 12' along the Rhine to the UN Campus, or in some 30' to downtown Bonn.

There are not that many restaurants in the area, but things can be found if you walk about 15 minutes.

The contents of the room, it had almost everything someone would need for a long stay. The yard, really nice to have external space.

The pillows, very uncomfortable, had to squeeze it in order to get some support. The lights of the room, they were too many and too yellow.
