Killarney Court Hotel

housekeeping staff were exceptional especially who I assume was the supervisor or head (a blonde older lady, very professional and efficient - sorry I didn’t get her name) who noticed our mattress seemed to have a dip and changed the whole mattress without us even asking. she was always on the ball as were the other housekeeping staff at making the rooms up so efficiently and with great cleanliness. breakfast was very good.

unfortunately the parking was an issue. in some respects a positive for the hotel in that they were busy. unfortunately how receptionist dealt with it was in my opinion not efficient. I was phoned to move my car from the only space I could find which on reflection was not in a parking space as there were none! however when I reparked my car “off site” in the petrol station next door (not ideal!) I took snaps of 2 other cars that had taken excessive spaces up by badly parking and thereby preventing 3-4 other cars from parking. I showed this to the receptionist and asked her was she going to disturb these residents as well as having disturbed me to move their cars? she clearly didn’t bother as the next morning both cars were still badly parked across 3-4 car parking spaces.

Easy free parking. Very friendly, polite and extremely helpful staff. Special thanks to John at Reception and in the "pub grub" area, for his cheerful helpfulness, and to William Barry, Maintenance, for fixing the extractor fan in my bathroom very quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess at all, and for finding my glasses and umbrella! Housekeeping/cleaning staff were also really helpful, friendly and good humoured, as well as very good at their jobs. The women at Reception were also very warm and welcoming.

The extractor fan and the hairdryer in my room were broken, but John immediately brought me up another hairdryer, and William fixed the extractor fan as soon as possible.

Staff went the extra mile at every point, even going so far as to make me a milky hot chocolate in the morning rather than the machine stuff. The reception staff were welcoming and chatty and really helpful. The bar staff who served me dinner each night of my stay were really good and I overheard them speaking to one elderly guest with real genuine kindness. I was there for work and my room was comfortable and spacious enough to work at, with great wifi and very convenient to the INEC convention centre, with a large garage next door selling shampoo, notepads, pens etc

My only complaint was no rain shelter over the smoking area. there was torrential rain during my stay and so any time I wanted a smoke I had to go to my car. If I had no car I would have been climbing the walls craving nicotine!

Our first nite there I could not sleep due to noise from the lift (I am a very very light sleeper) so went to reception the next morning and asked if they could help, within a few hours they had a new room for us and an upgrade in room at no extra charge, the staff, couldnt have been more helpful and pleasant, would definitely stay here again, good base for alot of scenic attractions in kerry, and killarney town is amazing, really enjoyed our stay will be booking again.

The breakfast was really good, cleaning service was really too class. Bar beside the hotel had really tasty food and great drinks. We had massage during our stay and it was a very relaxing experience. People working at this hotel and bar beside we’re really nice and nothing was a problem. Great surprise chocolates on the bed and the best was for us fan left in the room as days were really warm and stuffy.

Toilet sit was not set straight and it was an interesting experience as you felt like you’re falling.

Went there a few times, comfortable beds and clean rooms. We also had dinner there lovely food and the service there is always great. Check in was straightforward, I had six people paying seperatetly and they accommodated that very quickly and check out was easy as well. There's a security guard during the evenings which was good. Would go back again

The location is a little far but has car park outside but taxi to town is about five mins and 15 minute walk. Not bad for a lovely hotel anyway.

Bed was very comfortable and the shower facilities were brilliant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and well priced. Massage service was excellent

There is no air conditioning in the room so it did feel stuffy at times. Upon arrival, we drove to the side that said residents parking only to be met with a closed sign further down. A sign earlier would have been better.

Staff very friendly - staff in the bar area always cleaning was very impressed.

Husband had a little accident with the kettle in the room and burnt his two fingers (not too bad thankfully) when I ask housekeeping for first aid box or burn gel they did not understand. When I went looking downstairs for a staff member who promptly got some burn gel for me but was very surprised that she did not ask 1 was everything ok? 2 why I needed it? Mentioned it too a manager just for future reference (health &Safety) he was very apologetic. Don’t blame the staff member but no harm too mention it to staff when doing induction training!

We were in a recently upgraded room and it was quite nice! The bathroom was beautiful. Lots of thought went into it. We had a nice big window that opened all the way and we love having fresh air! The bar food was wonderful and the prices were fair! I had the salmon and my husband had the turkey roast of the day. Both were delicious! Pub stay were very nice! The front desk staff were very nice!

The breakfast room is set up oddly. The hot breakfast is self serve and it’s set up right in front of the kitchen door with staff running in and out constantly. Only one person can serve themselves at a time which made for a big backup. And the staff in the dining area were rude. And city center was too far away from the hotel to walk.
