The Killarney Park

Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was a good size. The hotel is spotless, very comfortable and in excellent condition. The food in the bar was fabulous. The atmosphere in bar and lobby is very relaxing, lots of comfy seating. You can walk to the park and into town in a few minutes. Excellent location. There's also lovely grounds around the hotel. The outdoor jacuzzi and spa area at the pool are lovely.

I would prefer a buffet breakfast. The pool was a little cold for kids. I would say this hotel is more suited to couples rather than families with smaller kids, even though we felt very welcome.

From the moment we pulled into the gates of the hotel we were greeted with a smile and an traditional Irish Welcome. The staff make this hotel special. We have eaten in the Garden Bar previously and have always been impressed with the service but a night in the hotel takes this to another level. Other hotels with lesser facilities should take their staff to this hotel and spend a night to show what excellence looks like and how exceptional customer service adds to a visit. We had stopped for a drink a nearby hotel for a drink before checking in to the Killarney Park. The contrast in service was night and day. The management team of the Killarney Park should be exceptionally proud of what their team are delivering, it is truly special.

I think the hotel needs a little modernisation in places but whatever it lacks in modern facilities it is far surpassed by the ambiance and staff professionalism.

If you're looking for a hotel that's conveniently located near the center of town and the beautiful Killarney National Park, this is the place for you. The hotel is just a short walk from everything you need in the town. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is its staff. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and authenticity that made us feel right at home. The staff members are very knowledgeable about the area and offered great suggestions for places to visit and things to do. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location, staff, and amenities were all top-notch.

Location was perfect! Staff were great and went above and beyond to look after you. Food was excellent both in the main restaurant and the bar!

A bit heavy on the price to have breakfast in the room at €10 each per day. During the current climate we stayed away from the breakfast room in the morning and this price does add up! After a tip for the waiter/waitress we paid an extra €100 for our 4 night stay just to have breakfast to the room.

Fantastic property, location and staff. The room was great, bathtub luxurious, beds so comfortable and loved having the seating area and cosy fire in the room. We loved all the cosy seating areas downstairs in the lobby. We and our kids enjoyed sitting there by an open fire with a hot chocolate and just relaxing.

The only negative for us were the prices for the food and drinks at the hotel. They were about double what we'd expect and seeing as we live in Dublin, we're used to high prices already. Killarney in general is really overpriced and it was disappointing to not eat at the hotel other than the first night because it was so pricey.

Location was fantastic, our room was spacious and awesome but the thing that i liked the most were the hotel's sustainability initiatives. The management has actively tried to reduce its carbon footprint and all sorts of waste. The front desk and concierge were both very nice and made our stay even more enjoyable

a small nitpick. The bathroom sink had separate hot and cold water taps. having a modern mixer would reduce water wastage thereby increasing the sustainability rating

From the minute we arrived at the hotel - we were treated so well, everyone went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Food & dining experience was excellent, really enjoyed both of our evening meals at the hotel. We ate in the Garden Bar on our first night, food was lovely, service was excellent. We ate in the restaurant on our second night - the food was amazing - very well presented & everything we had was delicious. Breakfast was superb - everything you could ask for was available. All of the staff we met were excellent - you can see that the customer experience is their main priority. We stayed in a Superior family room as we had our two boys with us - very spacious & comfortable with separate lounge area. The leisure facilities were great too - used the pool every day.

Absolutely LOVED Killarney Park and wished we would have stayed longer. They upgraded us to a suite which was amazing! All the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful! Very close to the National Park. I booked dinner at The Peregrine for our group of 6 and it was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area!

The smoking area is at the front of the hotel, but when you smoke at the front they ask you to move as it’s going into the lobby and the window to the breakfast reception area is right near the smoking area, needs to be moved to some where, where us smokers can enjoy and keep the hotel smoke free

We loved our stay at the Killarney Park. The staff are exceptional- friendly, helpful and polite in every area of the hotel. We felt totally looked after from the moment we arrived. It is a very comfortable, cosy place with inviting resident’s lounges with deep sofas and fires lighting to be enjoyed with complimentary tea, coffee or bubbly - we thought this was a lovely touch and really promoted the relaxed vibe of this jewel of a hotel. Food was delicious both in the bar and restaurant and accompanied by a very accomplished pianist. Breakfast was well organised and also delicious. We felt the hotel was clean and taking all the necessary Covid sanitising measures seriously - we never felt unsafe. I also used the swimming pool and hot tub - both pristine and quiet. Our room was spotless with comfortable beds and a lovely modern bathroom. The location is perfect for shopping and sightseeing. We look forward to returning there.
