Grand FC Hotel

There were nice eateries nearby and it is about 15mins away from Komtar. It was nice to have private parking spots within hotel premise though limited (especially at night). Looking for parking spots in Penang downtown is horrendous, thus it was nice to be able to walk to nearby attractions. Room is clean, bed is comfy, water is hot and pressure is good. All basic needs were met.

It'd be nice if hotel could provide hair dryer.

Staff are helpful

Tv channels..kindly have it multi language At least 1 tamil channel and tv3

-Felt secure to be in the hotel, need key card to access room floors. -Water (hot/cold) dispenser in the hallway available for guests. -Free parking available for guests, the hotel allowed me to park my car for a few more hours after checking out until I came back to get the car to go to the airport. -Housekeeping requests for shower gel refill, change of towel, ironing board all met immediately. -Strategic location on Jalan Argyll, walking distance to Transfer Road, Lebuh Chulia, Lebuh Keng Kwee, Lebuh Cintra, Lebuh Campbell, Lebuh Kimberley (and many more) for popular makan spots. -Good place to stay if you intend to be outside most of the day and only come back to freshen up or take a rest.

The location . There's a water dispenser machine at each floor

The mattress was kinda soft. There's only one type of gel dispenser in the bathroom and I can only assume it is either shower gel or shampoo cum shower gel and it was not indicated. The self check in/out machine if you wanna pay by credit card is not user friendly and its software hanged, that is a hassle when you are in a hurry

Location is convenient, the staff,m is nice and the self check is great if you get there late.

There wasn't any shampoo or toothpaste,just soap.the air-conditioning was weak and it was pretty warm in the room.

It was cleaner than I expected; cleanness was like 5 * hotels. The staff was also friendly. I would stay if I came again

The window was covered by black tape, which is meaningless; you can not see outside. I asked the reason and got an answer that because of the sun, there was a curtain that blocked the sun and also could not be opened to get fresh air.

Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Fresh and clean bedsheets, blankets pillow cases and towels every day. Walking distance to everything, mini markets, shops and eatery. Water dispenser is located in the hallway outside your room. Can refill cold and hot water anytime. But have to bring own 3in1 drinks.

Bathroom need scrubbing especially the lower walls and outer side of toilet bowl.

The room very clean. One queen size with rm100 price is reasonable for me since it is located near to hotspot. We can just walked to the Chowrasta Market, Nasi kandar and other place. So, we dont have to worry about parking since they provided parking space for their customer. The safety is tiptop.

The room not really soundproofing. We can literally hear door open and close during night. But, since we are so tired, so after that the noise doesnt disturb anymore. Overall still good.

Comfortable bed, air con, hot shower, good WiFi, free hot/cold water in the hallway and thermos and cups + coffee in room. Windows can’t open but let’s plenty light in and you have privacy from neighbors.

Sockets near bed would be good - as there’s only two in the whole room by the desk.

Fantastic location in the middle of everything but not loud. For a private room with AC, hot shower and a secure spot, I was very pleased. Nice to have filtered cold and hot water machine down the hall, too.

The automated checkin was new to me but the staff helped me with it.
