The District Hotel

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating and all-round excellent. The cleanliness of my room and the hotel in general was of a very good standard. The hotel felt sleek, modern and fresh. I liked the 24 hour bar, which I made much use of and thought it was pretty good value for money.

I felt the breakfast was a little basic. Although there was a reasonable spread I didn't think the quality was overly good and the coffee could certainly do with improvement. The one down side with the bar was that you have to pay at the time as opposed to putting it on the room, which I would have preferred.

Nice hotel for three stars, good location, close to restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and small bay beach.

Breakfast could be nicer, offering more varieties, water drainage in shower is weak as water stands and gets everywhere, more hooks for towels would be very useful as there was only one.

The service of the hotel was outstanding, always there to assist and answer questions with patience and warm attitude. Breakfast was very good, a boufe with several types of cheese and ommlette and eggs, also has yougurt and fruitas and salad. Location is a few minutes walk from the beach and the main party and night life. To party there is the Havana Club with latin music and Hugo Terrace to drink before going out.

The electric plugs had no built in adapter for the most used electric type in EU, but you still have usb plugs to charge your phone. The food in most of the touristic places we ate were not so good, one place we found and liked was Cafe Cuba.

Staff is excellent, very friendly.

We read the previous reviewes and we were expecting more from breakfast... The buffet is just fine, nothing special, some parts are good, some are decent, and some are not that tasty.

Zero sound-proofing in room 201 - I could hear every conversation the people in the adjoining room had.

Big rooms (there were 4 of us), big nice shower (bathroom). Kind staff, good breakfast different variety of food. Property is just as expected on Malta, considering very urban area. A lot of people complain about noise and the location. I can say, that everybody should decide, if they do not like parties and urban area, than they should choose hotel on other location. But for those who like this, this hotel has it all, shopping center 2min away, restaurants and bars 5min away. Bus station is 5min away, grocary store 5min away

Loundry wash is 15€ per small bag, very expensive for my point of view

It was a wonderful hotel at the centre of St. Juliens. You have within a walking distance bus stops, restaurants, cinema, beach, all different shops. It was really clean and your room is cleaned daily. And to be completely honest I haven't met friendlier staff! They were always welcoming and helpful. If you had any questions they were always ready to answer. The bar at the lobby is amazing along with the breakfast that has loads of variety! 11/10 I highly reccomend this hotel! Definitely would be coming back.
