Van der Valk Hotel Vianen - Utrecht

Location is really nice, you can take a walk around the hotel and find a good spot for a sightseeing. Bus station is just next to the hotel, quick 15min to Utrecht city. Breakfast has a lot of choices.

The location was nice and close to Vianen's Voorstraat. The view was nice. The coffee machine in the room was very much appreciated.

There were no shelves in the fridge. There was no rack for a towel in the shower area, or a shelf on which to place on. It would've been nice to have more space to place soap and shampoo too. It would also have been nice to have a curtain at the entrance to the shower to stop water from running onto the floor of the rest of the bathroom.

The room is big and as it is on ground level it has doors opening towards the garden. the bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower. there is a Nespresso machine with lovely coffee! the parking is on site and secure and free of charge!

the breakfast was 14 euros so we didnt use it as we dont eat much in the morning so would be a waste of money. the bathroom didnt have a towel rack where the towels could dry on so we had to use new towels every time.

Large comfortable room, great bathroom, clean, nice bed. Superb breakfast. This is a hotel that really pays attention to detail; the quality shone through in everything from fixtures and fittings to the perfect pineapple at breakfast.

The room was hot and the comforter wAs too heavy. The pillows were to high. These are picky things but your stag was fabulous at helping make us more comfortable.

Everything was nearly perfect. We decided to change our plans for dinner in the evening. Normally we'd go to Utrecht to a restaurant, but we stayed at the hotel to eat, and we didn't regret our decision!

The pool was too cold. But the wellness was perfect and clean.

The room is quite big, so it's the bed. There's a table and a couple of comfy armchairs, where you can sit and eat (restaurants were closed due to the Corona). The bathroom is awesome. There's a wide bathtub with bubbles and a separate shower. We didn't miss shampoos or shower gel. We called reception quite late in the night, and they handed us another set of towels immediately.

I booked a room with balcony, and we got one in the ground floor, so instead of having that balcony, there was a door to the outside parking. Even though the room was super clean, there was a disgusting stain on the curtain and the knob that opened the back door. There was a nespresso machine in the room. If we know that beforehand, we'd bring our own coffee capsules instead of just instant coffee. That's just a suggestion.

Best breakfast I have ever had. Comfortable beds, clean toilets, very nice and helpful staff - in particular the lady on reception.

I have asked for two rooms with single beds and I had single beds but it was just next to each other without possibility to disconnect it. Rooms could be a little bit cleaner - especially under beds - when I was trying to disconnect it.

Lovely hotel which worked well for our group as we were cycling through the Netherlands. Good breakfast and evening menu was great also. Rooms were spacious, facilities good. Even managed a session in the swimming pool.

Nothing - this hotel met all our expectations.
