Crowne Plaza Bratislava, an IHG Hotel

Great location to start short break, friendly staff! breakfast is good with a good choice. we had dinner one evening, and I was delighted with the club sandwich. All very relaxed and no real dress code as such. In reach of a lot of sighting stuff, As soon as you leave the hotel to explore ! turn left and that will take old town.

Room was very hot and air conditioning wasn’t working correctly. Our room faced the morning sun and heated up very quickly. The fridge was switched off to save electricity, no way to switch back on that we could find. so your left with warm drinking water in the room. large mirrors in bathroom and not sure I want to be seeing myself in that mirror! and big step in and out of bath shower! We found the pillows to be too big!

No free parking Ac not working

Its quite unussual that your regular guests ( who are staying at your hotel at least once per month) have to pay 65 euros for late check out(until 14h). Its legimite but if that is way, you treat your regular guests its nice to know. Of course, its not question about money.

The location was ideal, the hotel is right near the main streets in Bratislava with a good selection of restaurants, shops, and cafes. Additionally, the hotel was really big with lots of facilities, some of which we didn't get to explore, but the terrace garden was very scenic and the bar was good. Also, our rooms were spacious and clean, with a very nice view of the city from the window. The staff were also very helpful and booked a taxi for us to get to the airport.

The windows in the rooms didn't open very much, and there wasn't a very effective ventilator in the bathroom.

Parking is quite expensive and the parking lot is very undersized. Not only from the perspective of the number of places but also the actual size of each parking lot is very small, it is a struggle to get out of the car without hitting the door against other cars. So we inevitably got our car door hit and dented by another guest. Parking exit to the street is also very steep and we hit the car underside quite badly trying to exit. We have a normal car, not a sports car or anything.

I was disappointed that the Spa was still closed

The property is amazing. The location is prime with the hotel being right opposite the presidential palace and at walking distance to the old town. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast spread was sumptuous.

The room was a little cramped up with the extra bed. The extra bed was very springy and not very comfortable. We were not given the option to collect the room service food from the restaurant and were charged 5 euros extra for room delivery, which felt like a rip off.

The last Interhotel to be built before the fall of the communist regime, now turned into a modern business hotel. I especially liked the parking garage under the hotel, the size of the room and the breakfast buffet. And the staff is very welcoming and helpful. Location is very good opposite the President's palace, close to Obchodná street with shops, restaurants etc. And if you don't have your own car and need to go to the railway station, the bus stop is on the other side of the square :)

The water pressure in the shower could have been better...

I liked the nice spacious rooms with two bathrooms in them. I liked that the rooms were together. I liked that they gave me a discount since we had to switch rooms. I liked access to the club lounge. That helped not having to eat out so much and free water bottles.

The bathtubs were a little high so a little bit of a safety risk, but they were clean and bright.

This large historic 4 star hotel is starting to show its age. But it doesnt quite yet come across as just outdated. Rather, it has a vintage and classic feel to it. All areas, from the reception to the cafeteria, are spacious like very few hotels can afford these days. And it has a large, fully equipped fitness room which is open 24/7. But what truly stands out is the service: the staff is welcoming, helpful, proactive, and truly deserves the highest grade. The waiting staff in the cafeteria even remembered that I have caffe latte for breakfast and on the second day brought it to me before I had to order it (mind you: this is a hotel with a turnover of hundreds of people every day)
