Fab location, great staff, brilliant spa facilities

Inconsistent housekeeping even after the lady who was checking the cleaning standards , the service was poor. Toilets were not cleaned with bleach or any other cleaner. They had dirty stains in them and smelled. Depending on the cleaner: sometimes the standards were great, but often lots was missed out, for example the bins weren’t emptied or soap/milk not replenished. Another issue was with the TV signal which was inconsistent-only lasted ten minutes before it broke off or there was no signal at all. Even after reporting the issue to the reception, when the technician turned up- he explained there was nothing he could do as he would have to contact the owner in order to fix the problem. So nothing got done and we had really poor signal for the whole of our stay of two weeks.

Location was great. 2 mins walk to old town. Friendly staff- Breakfast ladies were lovely. Room was fine. Breakfast was great. Enjoyed the savoury food. The hotel was full but still easy to get a table and served until 11am.

Ridiculous bar bill. Take note. We ordered ONE SMALL beer and ONE glass of white wine at the hotel bar on the day we checked out. We saw the price already based on the price card provided. When we wanted to pay, the bar asked for 21 Euro. How is this possible? The bar man argued that we got a BIG beer instead of a small beer and one glass of wine for 5.5 Euro. BUT still how does ONE big glass of beer and ONE 5.5 Euro wine add to 21 Euro ??? When we questioned the bar man how he made the 21 Euro bill, how he added the drinks, only that he started to back down and said it was his mistake. We paid 10 Euro. Terrible image for the hotel. We could easily give him a tip but not in this way to charge us. Not good.

- Very friendly staff. - Rooms have a mini-bar, free coffee, tea and water. - Various options of pillows to choose from. - Rooms get cleaned every day and the free coffee, tea and water is refilled. - You receive clean towels every day. - The free spa is awesome. Everything you need is there: dressing rooms, sauna, steam room, showers, relaxing area, rooftop lounge, cucumber/lemon water, fitness with view of Bratislava Castle. - Breakfast is delicious!

- The only negative is that the breakfast is the same each day. I'd have wished for more fruits. You could only get 2 pieces of melon, watermelon and pineapple in a closed jar. No other options.

The location of the hotel is great, its just 3 bus stops from the main railway station. The bus stop is right in front of the Hotel. The Hotel is very near to the old town, other tourist attractions can be easily reached by using public Special thanks to Ivan from the front desk for answering all questions and providing details of tourist places to visit.

The bar in the lobby doesn't really have any options for vegetarians except salad or french fries. Also the alcohol rates are quite pricey as compare to other options available across the street in the old town area. Wifi connectivity is very very poor in the lobby area. However, no wifi related issues in the room.

Everything was very good. The room was large. The bed, too (single-use double bed). Large TV set (hardly used, however). Table suited very well for working with a laptop computer (i.e. enough space). Appreciated tea and coffee machine (Nespresso) in the room. Cold beverages always present in the room. Water for free on the table. Large bathroom with good towels and products. Breakfast was very good (perhaps with a bit less variety than in other comparable hotels, but with a lot of central European food, which I liked). Nice lobby where to sit, have some drink and also to work at a laptop computer. Excellent staff, who helped in everything and was very nice. The conference mentioned in the title was held in venues not linked to the hotel.

There was a small problem the last night and following morning with air conditioning which didn't work. During the night it wasn't a problem, since the outside temperatures were not high. But in the morning after the shower, it was better if air conditioning was working or if, as an alternative, it was possible to open the window, which was locked (I imagine for security reasons). Air conditioning worked fine the two nights and days before.

Good hotel, a little bit expensive but it worths the money. Great location, close to the old center, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Good breakfast, great variety of foods. Good lobby bar, good Zlaty Basant tap beer. Great rooftop sauna, with both Finish sauna and steam bath, opened from early morning to late evening. Godd fitness room with castle view, it was a pleasure to run on the treadmill and have such a view..

Everything was great, parking was expensive but that is usual in almost every hotel in Bratislava.

Breakfast is exceptional.Freshly prepared on request,full buffet available and also Prosecco to allow a holiday indulgence if you wish.Staff are very attentive .All areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean,a lovely touch is the dog bowls at the front entrance full of doggy treats .Rooftop terrace bar has wonderful views of the Castle and Town and a great selection of wines ,beers and spirts as well as soft drinks and snacks (entrance is included in comfort room package).Would recommend a stay here .It’s a short easy walk to the tourist areas ,and restaurants.

Nothing,everything was catered for.

Wonderful and luxurious hotel, close to the old town. Nice parking garage. Nice gym with views on the top floor and a very nice sauna area. Great for a after check-in relaxation, and a morning ritual. The area is fully supplied with towels lockers, showers etc so just pop up, or bring a bathrobe from the room for resting on the terrace. Nice place for takeaway and Netflix. Tv works with hdmi cable so you can connect a computer. Nice coffee machine and great bathroom, lots of storage.

I liked everything we used. I guess it could have been nice with a less pricey breakfast, they charged full price for kids, so for a family of 4 it would have been 80euro, even for Bratislava that is steep for eggs and coffee. We looked at it but it did not seem anything special. We went to a nearby café up the hill with great grilled sandwiches.

The hotel was in a great position and near everything in the old town. It was clean, had a great bar and restaurant with great breakfast options. Would definitely stay again as we didn't use the spa or rooftop bar and I'd like to!

The only slight negatives I have is that the shower gel in the shower was empty when we arrived and remained empty through the stay, even after the cleaners came in. There was hand gel by the sink that we used though but it would've been a better touch to have the bottles filled before we came. Also there wasn't another duvet in the wardrobe as advertised on the cards in the room so we had to have two single duvets on a double bed. The bedroom and bathroom were a little tired and could do with a touch of paint here and there but other than that I can't fault it.

great spa facilities, clean, comfortable, central city location

the only issue was at checkout where we were greeted with a frown after staying for several days and then returning for more. The receptionist also incorrectly stated, without explanation before or after, she was to now charge for an additional day even after we paid in full and previously received written payment confirmation. The checkout should be as pleasant and courteous as the excellent check in and staff. Other than that final experience, we find this to be the best Bratislava hotel.
