Hotel Devín

Magnificent breakfast, served in a very comfortable hall with a pleasant view on the Danube. Parking is very close to the hotel, being right in front of the entrance. Position is superb, along with the view on the Danube, you also get easy and quick access to major highways, still being in walking distance with the city center of Bratislava; the Castle itself is very close to the hotel.

Parking a bit expensive (29 € / day). Also guests have to pay € 15 to use the swimming pool: maybe at least an entrance to the pool could be free for guests staying for several nights?

. Location was great . Just few steps from the old town . Perfectly located at banks of the danube river . the young gentleman working at swimming pool was very helpful and the facilities were good . I had some problems with my cell phone and staff at the reception was very helpful particularly young gentleman with the dark hair .The bar at the hotel was lovely as well.

. they charge for breakfast extra and it's not cheap . excess to breakfast hall in the morning had bigger security then some embassies with lots of questions. although I decided to have breakfast and registered for it the first day I wasn't on the list and they made me visit reception to settle that . that was poor management.

I loved the location. I traveled with the Twin City Liner and the hotel is on the opposite of the Denube. With only 2 minutes you are already in the City Center. The Hotel and rooms smelled so good! I was impressed. The rooms are cleaned and cozy. I ordered Room Service which was fast and they could offered me a vegetarian version of Club Sandwich - the taste was so good! I used the pool for EUR 15,00 and the temperature was fine. I ate in Cafe Devin Terrace and ordered goat cheese salad which was amazing! The massage for 30 minutes for EUR 30,00 was my highlight. The breakfast was great and service good. Staff was very friendly!

Hotel made some improvements compared with several years ago when I visited first time, is located just near Danube so the room offer direct river visibility, also is 5-10 min walking distance from the historical city center. Breakfast is very good, they also have a small cafeteria/cake shop inside (not only a bar and restaurant) so you can choose what you want.

the parking place is pretty small, so you need little good luck to find a parking place, also the streets around are full of cars so you need to carefully watch when you need to park

Spacious room with a nice clean balcony with a view over the river, room and hotel very clean. Parking at the front of hotel. City centre within walking distance from hotel. Can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t have this

Although the hotel it’s very nice, I felt the price we paid should have included breakfast. €19 a night to park is quite steep. On our booking confirmation from booking.com it stated we had access to the pool and sauna but according to the hotel it’s NOT included and it’s €15 per person per day for access to this! Again I feel it’s is very expensive.

The view of the Danube river was amazing. Also the location of the hotel is great, next to the city center and also next to the national gallery. The hotel looks amazing and is one of the nicest hotels in Bratislava.

The rooms weren't 100% sound proof, so in the night we could hear neighbours laughing and chatting (but they were quite loud anyway. It wasn't something unbearable, it was just there. Also there was some party on of the boats on the river – but I guess Hotel can't do anything with it.

We were on the top floor, not on the river side but on the back side. There is a beautiful view of the city in the night and it's surprisingly quiet, even though the hotel is at the busy street. It's few hundred meters from the heart of the city, so the location is excellent. The staff is very nice, the swimming pool is not very big but it's enough. The size of the room is decent, especially that we had additional bed for our child, and it was clean.

Breakfast is a bit disappointing, technically there is a wide selection, but nothing is exceptional and hot stuff is precooked. I would expect that in a hotel which charges that much per night, you would be able to have freshly cooked breakfast.

Great location, old-fashioned charm, clean and comfortable, great staff at pool/spa and reception. We slept sooo well and the breakfast was very good. The view over the river is super cool. I appreciated that we could open the windows and the little balcony door and step outside to get some breeze (the next hotel had thos horrible blocked windows).

Nice friendly staff and quiet rooms. Couldn’t hear anything outside. We had a twin overlooking the Danube which was great. Breakfast had plenty of choice.

We were under the impression we could use the swimming pool but had to pay for the spa facilities. Unfortunately, there is 15 euro to pay for the use of the pool daily. Didn’t see the pool and spa facilities as we thought 30 euro for the two of us to use the pool per session was quite excessive.

The breakfast was very good. High quality, enough variety and very good fresh coffee! The hotel has a very nice smell. They also use a spray in the room. All the staff members are very friendly and helpful. I left something in my room and they were so kind to send it to me. I also enjoyed the gym/pool/sauna facilities.

It's a beautiful hotel. It's a pity though that it's right next to a busy street. However, in the room it didn't bother me that much. I had a spacious balcony, so yes it's more ideal to not hear the cars when you're looking at the great view over the water. But in the evening it was okay. And during the day you're mostly outside anyway.
