Belaire Suites Hotel

I love everything about the hotel. The room was more than I expected! big, clean, see view. It's a home away from home. There's ironing board+ iron,microwave, sink to wash my dishes, dishcloth, sponge, dishwashing liquid soap, comfortable couch + table and chairs. The food and bev manager arranged something for my birthday! staff members sang for me, I felt so important and honored! They showed me some newly renovated rooms and bigger ones to accommodate four people because I told them that I'm definitely coming back soon with my other three sisters. I never thought that I could ever experience such a royal treatment! Old school beach hotel with updated decor. Hotel common areas have a great modern clean style. Pool and lounge area very relaxing. Excellent ocean view, coffee station well stocked with variety. High quality bathroom products, many towels. Room was large and had desk, chair, bed, sofa, kitchenette, glass table with two chairs so its almost a full holiday unit including microwave and fridge with basin. More then I expected. Room windows slid open completely to enjoy sea view and ocean noice at night. Sea views at breakfast lounge was exceptional from 11th floor. Must see. Great staff and high quality breakfast buffet. Propper coffee barista takes coffee orders at breakfast. First floor restaurant has bar for evening. Good security personel at entrance and well staffed hotel. High recommend. Fantastic value. All exactly as seen in pics. I liked it very much.

Booking in seemed a bit late at 14:00 as check out was at 10:00 already but staff were very accommodating. Perhaps consider more seating in the reception.

Everything about the property was fantastic. From the welcoming drinks to the staff to the place itself. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The view was spectacular, also BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING. The food is 10/10. The view from where we ate breakfast 10/10. We loved everything about Belaire Suites. And the staff was so understanding cause we asked to have our luggage stored at the hotel after checkout because we had some activities to do, they had no problem with that, they stored our luggage until we came back.

I wasn't sure what to expect after looking at so many hotels in Durban but my room exceeded expectations. I stayed on the 10th floor, the view was great, the room was huge and had everything I needed. Good wifi, great shower, plenty of toiletries and fresh towels, they even delivered chocolates after I had checked in. I would definitely stay here again if I travelled to the city. Recommended!

Staff at reception were a bit hit and miss - the lady with the long braids wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming but the guy was better. Breakfast was plentiful although seating was a bit of an issue as people seemed to have saved seats and then disappeared from the restaurant. Staff were very quick to sort it out and food was better than expected.

Excellent location. Breakfast great as usual but same thing everyday. My daughter like your ice cream.

Your rooms need fumigation, there are cockroaches in the bathroom. We booked 4 months away for a sea-view yet put us on 4th floor until we complain. You should not look at skin colour to be nice, we called while checking out and the staff couldn’t even sent Porter despite he was asked. The Porter is far too kind. it is our second time lodging there.

The charging points were too far from the bed,instead of them being on both sides of the bed they were placed by the wall opposite the bed i didn’t like that. The rooftop where breakfast is eaten gets very full you end up not having a seat and having to wait for those still eating to finish so that you can get a table

My stay at Bellaire Hotel was great.. Breakfast / Room / View everything was above expectations. The staff is very help full and friendly. My biggest surprise was when the breakfast staff come to my table and sing for me Happy Birthday, on the 14th November. That was a huge surprise, and I felt emotional on that moment. Then I don't even talk about the surprise I've received when I'm came back in my room. Lint Chocolates on my bed, table, and an ice bucket with a bottle of nice wine in. Bellaire Hotel is deffinately a BIG RECOMMENDATION to other travellers.

Malusi at reception was really friendly and helpful. He managed to get us a room change after our first night as we had been put in a room with a view of the street as opposed to the sea. The room was absolutely amazing, very modern, spacious and very clean as well, definitely value for money! The breakfast was also really good and there was a lot of variety and beautiful views.

The outside of the building needs to be revamped and even when you walk in the corridors it feels like you're in an old flat. There was also still some construction going on by the restaurant for breakfast so there was no shade to sit outside. It would also be great if the toilet brush was covered in all the rooms as its not a pleasant sight.

Most things were good besides what's highlighted as things we didn't like.

The fact that there was no aircon remote in the room for us to set the aircon to our own temperature preferences. It(Aircon) was also noisy at night and the temperature light lit up the whole room which wasn't ideal when one is sleeping. With a remote that light could have been switched off at our discretion. The iron which we requested the first afternoon was taken away by room service the next morning. We had to then request again. Point is, why couldn't it be collected one time after checkout?
