Location is great for a quick visit to Durbs. Loads of restaurants available, but no shops if you need anything. You will need to drive if you need something extra. Hotel SPA beautiful setting and worthwhile to visit. On site gym basic, but perfect if you need it. Hotel reception staff very friendly. Very nice hotel and will stay again....but won't use booking.com, as I didn't get what I booked.

Bit weird bathroom situation as toilet is not very private. They need to add panels to aid privacy. Glass doors was not good. Disappointed as I booked a Seaview months ago and on day of arrival they had me down for city view and we ended up with a pool view. Since I don't live near the sea, this was indeed very disappointing. Unsure if it was the hotel or booking.com issue.

The entry into suncoast is easily accessible. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food. The room was clean and neat.

The menu at the pool is not quite suitable to pool side food. A suggestion would be to add more snack foods ie. List the sandwiches available, do some wraps or pizzas, chicken strips, nachos etc. Keep it limited but easy to eat for kids and in between swims. It would be good to add some more milk "sachets" in the room. There were 2 rooibos tea bags, 2 coffee and 2 decaf coffee, 2 brown sugar, 2 white sugar and 2 sweetners, so a possible 6 cups but only 2 milks.

Staff were all helpful, pleasant and professional. Staff acknowledged my mum's birthday which really pleased her. Staff were very accommodating to our needs with prompt responses to our requests. Daily calls to the room to check on us were really appreciated.

The open plan bathroom does not offer a private space and spoilt the overall feel of the experience. Trees blocked the sea view. Wheel Chair access was poor, with doors that did not open automatically. The system to operate the lift was annoying- should have full operating instructions.

We chose this hotel for the safety value over other factors, and glad we did. The towers are part of the larger casino buildings, so as you could imagine, there was security at every entry point and throughout the grounds. We felt very secure. We only stayed the one night and the room was adequate but small with little space to spread out even two suitcases. It was clean and functional and facilities were all there if required. The staff we very attentive and helpful. There is secured entry to the casino complex via the room swipe.

Room layout was difficult and it was a bit small.

The restaurant staff not so friendly. They refused to heat my daughters food . We were staying in the hotel because she was competing at SA Nationals swimming , and cannot eat anything while competing. This caused a lot of extra stress. I think a bit off commen sense would have been to just heat the childs food , as any athlete competing at a National level will not be having restaurant food or fast food .

This hotel was one of the best hotels that I stayed at in Durban! Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We had delicious buffet breakfast that included my favorites hot spicy lamb sausages, egg chutney , potatoes curry etc The rooms were super spacious, clean and relaxing. We had an awesome sea view facing double bed, huge spacious bathroom, separate tea station room with a beautiful cabinet and small hidden fridge. Best hotel toiletries, Access to beach was super easy. A definite comeback!!!

Nice, clean rooms, great location, modern building. A casino right next, with shopping and entertainment options. Good spa, totally worthy massage.

No separate bathroom: your toilet and shower exit right into your sleeping zone, and the sink is right thre next to your bed. Definitely not for those who value privacy for hygiene

Comfortable accommodation. Enjoyed the meals at jeera restaurant. The slice of cake in my room as it was my birthday was so warming and felt so good.

There was some confusion wrt to payment as payment for one room was complete but not reflected on their system. I had to present my card for payment for the second room and there was a problem when a possible third payment was about to go through. Fortunately they were able to resolve with booking.com.Didnt have this issue before.

Staff were amazing. They couldn’t do enough for their guests. The location is excellent and right on the beach and boardwalk. The breakfast was excellent.

Very noisy at night when guests are in the corridors which isn’t the hotel’s fault but possibly the nature of a casino hotel. The TV and TV channels were not 4 or 5 star quality, more like what one would expect in a 2 star hotel.

I'm so pleased with my stay from the very first moment I walked in. It was the day of my matric dance and the welcome I got on arrival was unmatched. The staff was as excited as I was for my matric dance and were really helpful while I was getting ready with little things like scissors. Even coming back from my dance I slept really comfortably. Then my favorite part was in the morning because of the incredible breakfast. That was a great way to close off my stay. Overall, the hotel is amazing.
