Very friendly staff, always helpful. Service around pool area exceptional. Very nice breakfast. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.

Old building that needs a revamp. No hot water on one night, but was fixed the next day. A holding deposit was taken from my Credit Card and should have been released at check out after settling the outstanding bill. We checked out on the 23 December 2023 and the transaction hold is still pending on my account as of the 27 January 2024. The Hotel accounts department is not very helpful in resolving the issue, keeps on blaming my bank, although the hotel has placed the hold. Staff at check in not very knowledgeable about banking procedure.

Location is amazing, right by the Indian Ocean. A short walk from restaurants and shopping malls if needed and a short Uber ride from the airport. The room was super comfortable, bed great, room clean, had a good work counter and its own balcony and view of the sea. The hotel has great reception and outdoor areas to relax. I only ate breakfast, which was very good. However the very best part of my stay was the warm, efficient and well trained staff, well done.

TV reception slightly off and some small areas that require some restoration which is not surprising given the beautiful heritage of this hotel.

Great stay in Umhlanga. This hotel has the absolute best location. Staff are helpful and friendly, good breakfast. We made use of the spa and it was fantastic. Will definitely return again.

Our only complaint is the nightclubs situated across from the hotel. They attract some loud unpleasant characters, not to mention the horrible music spoiling the sound of the waves. This is a disturbance when seated on the lawn by the pool area. No fault of the hotel, but worth knowing.

Great location. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with attentive staff. Very comfortable lounge areas, newspapers etc. Beautiful sea views from property and direct access to beach. Heated outdoor swimming pool, spotless and the best pool staff.

The DSTV bouquet and TV reception quality in the room was poor. Staff were very accommodating and arrange channel 214 for us to watch the tennis. Overall this feature needs to be dramatically improved.

The rooms were beautiful and clean and the view was exceptional. The breakfast and in fact all meals were absolutely delicious. The outdoor spa was an awesome experience too.

Our stay was great we had a great time at the pool, enjoyed the our anniversary cake placed in our room thanks to Mnagement. We also enjoyed breakfast and our room was so comfortable and cozy. Our View was amazing, the sea breeze in the morning was just out of this world. Bonus that tops everything is the goodnight message and the chocolate aibo you guys are doing the most lol i love that . the staff is amazing even the cleaners they are so friendly the kitchen manager that was on duty at breakfast also made us feel comfortable

I loved the breakfast variety and I think to make if more interesting, there should be mince or chutney at breakfast as an alternative for baked beans.

Breakfast was fantastic!! Staff at the front and when you arrive fantastic!! Been given a bottle of water was very welcome..Room was nice and clean

The waiters were very polite however their service was poor and very slow . We were kept waiting very long as were the tables around us waiting for service and the restaurant was not busy.. service was below poor to non existent. Only other problem was the Aircon leaked all over the floor and it was covered in water..

The location was excellent. The hotel made my birthday celebrations memorable with a beautiful cake and a bottle of sparkling wine in the room. The facilities were extraordinary. The staff were accommodating, friendly and helpful. My stay was really memorable for my 54th birthday. Well done Beverly Hills Hotel!!!

There was a problem with the bathroom plug in the room. No complementary soap on the first night and sliding door was difficult to open. I had difficulty opening it. Other than that I can't fault the hotel on anything.

The breakfast was amazing. The original room had a kingsize bed but the bathroom had a shower in the bath which was not acceptable... we were then moved to a room with a walk in shower which was lovely but the room was very cramped and the bed was very small...we had booked a kingsize bed which we therefore didn't get.

I would have liked a bigger room with a kingsize bed and a walk in shower.

Comfortable hotel, excellent sea views, good bed. Breakfast was very good and hotel staff always helpful, especially the personnel working at the pool area.

It is time for an upgrade, worn carpets need replacing and the whole hotel can do with some paint and refurbishment. Although it is excellently situated with regards to the beach, the street area at the entrance is not pleasant. Some shady characters made us too uncomfortable to walk around at night. There are 2 restaurants/clubs situated across the road who play extremely load music from early until very late, not nice if you sit poolside and want to listen to the sound of the waves.
