this is such a lovely BNB! The Managers & staff were supper friendly and helpful. Really comfie and lux but not pretentious. Breakfast is delicious, and everything feels super personal and relaxed its such a lovely vibe and peaceful.

hmmm not much the only thing is maybe the shelf in the shower was a bit high (I'm a tall person and had to tippy toe to reach the stuff on the shelf), but they have a lovely stand just outside the walk in shower that you can put all your stuff on so its really not a problem at all & at the end of the day you dont want to hit your head on the shelf so its probably in the right spot (just not practical).

Our recent stay at Sandals Guest House was an absolute delight. The location, within walking distance of numerous restaurant options, bars, and the beach, made it an ideal choice for exploring the vibrant surroundings. The walk is not only convenient but also safe, allowing us to fully enjoy the local atmosphere. Our room, a premier bedroom/suite, offered a perfect blend of comfort and luxury, and the year-round outdoor pool, set in a serene environment, added to the overall sense of relaxation. The cleanliness of our room was impeccable, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. It featured modern amenities, including a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We were particularly impressed by the thoughtful touches such as complimentary bathrobes, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. The hairdryer proved to be especially useful after a refreshing swim in the pool. The owners, Ashley and Hazel, as well as staff, particularly Khaya, excel in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and their commitment to exceptional service was evident throughout our visit.

As we booked the "premier bedroom/suite," we expected certain amenities that were unfortunately absent. The room lacked a microwave and plates, which was a minor inconvenience, particularly considering the room category. However, we acknowledge that this feedback is meant to be constructive and believe it could enhance the value for money for future guests.

this is a gorgeous place just a5 min walk away from the beach and restaurants. the location is safe. the common area is exceptionally gorgeous and the pool deck area relaxing. every morning you’re presented with a different scrumptious breakfast menu, you’re spoilt for choice. the staff is wonderful and hospitable. the hosts/owners are friendly and try everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. i had some allergy issues and my bedsheets were changed on the spot, when that didn’t solve the problem they offered to let me use another available room (place is always booked out) to see if that will make a difference. my check out was the most lovely experience, my bags were carried to the car by the hosts and they wished me a wonderful trip. you really feel like you’ve visited family

i guess this is a ME problem more than it is the host’s. my allergies were heavily triggered in my room. the hosts tried their level best to make my stay comfortable regardless of this.

It is a great place with lovely decor, large, comfortable room & bathroom. Hazel & Ashley are fabulous hosts. Rooms have balcony with sea view. Nice pool area. Breakfast has a buffet - cereal, fruit, continental plus a freshly cooked " full English" which is really good. Great location - Chartwell is the road with all the bars and restaurants, just a few minutes walk plus one road away from beach and promenade. We really enjoyed our time here and hope that we will be able to come back. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful Guest House. Hazel and Ashley are very helpful. Khaya made scrumptious breakfasts and dinner. Staff are wonderful. Big, beautifully decorated rooms with high quality linen and toiletries. Tea and coffee station, minibar, big screen tv with good selection of chanels, excellent free wi-fi. Lovely gardens and lovely sea views from upstairs rooms. Very quiet location, close to restaurants and the beach. Looking forward to my next visit!

Loved everything!!

Sandals location is within walking distance of the Chartwell Drive restaurants, the Oceans Mall, as well as the Umhlanga Promenade, which is easily accessible from Blue Waters Lane. The breakfast was amazing, with options for cold and hot items, prepared to perfection. Ashley, Hazel and their team really took care of all my needs during my stay - including when I needed to change some arrangements.

Backup power would be a great future addition to the guesthouse. Excellent in all respects otherwise.

The managers made you feel at home and comfortable, provided great information about the surrounds and wonderful activities. Gorgeous guest house makes you feel right at home from the start.Location is perfect for anybody and even better if you are a solo female traveler.Waking distamce from the beach and restaurants, there is always security so you can even walk at night .if you are going to stay in Umhlanga, I would highly recommend you stay here

Absolute nothing

Lovely guest house in a very convenient location . Ashleigh & Hazel were absolutely excellent hosts as was Kayia. They all went above & beyond at all times especially when I had a vehicle emergency . The outdoor area is stunning . A person feels very safe at the guest house.

The property’s holds a 5* rating , there were some issues re electricity & hot water . As well as some urgent updating needed in some of the rooms & dining area .

The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The breakfast each morning was excellent. Khanya and Judy really spoiled us each morning. The guest house is a few hundred meters from the promenade and Umhlanga village. There are numerous good restaurants within walking distance.

Personally we prefer to have sea views and direct access to the beach, but we knew in advance this would not be the case.

The room was excellent, spacious and luxurious with everything you could need. Plenty of storage, with an outside table and chairs and comfortable sun loungers. The location was convenient for the town with its numerous bars and restaurants and close to the beach and lovely promenade walk.
