Themba the General Manager made amazing one on one contact with us. Samke from the lounge was exceptional. Yeshuri, Leko and John at the fire lake made us feel so comfortable with their warm hospitality. Chef John and Derrick surely cook up a storm. As a family we love the service in this hotel.

There was honestly nothing not to like as the hotel staff always went the extra mile to ensure all our needs were met.

When we arrived after booking on the 26th of september and paying for our booking on the 21st of december, we were told they are fully booked and have no rooms for us. This made me question their professionalism as a 5 star establishment, how can they be so disorganised???. It was very disappointing and frustrating since we drove all the way from Jhb to Durban. The explanation Petrus the manager tried giving to us didnt make sense. We were admant and firm about not leaving until they found a room for us. I honestly wouldnt recommend the hotel to anyone

The view is stunning. Location is perfect,almost everything is within walking distance. The overall service was incredible! During my 6-day stay Siyabonga and Langa (Reception), as well as Smangaliso (Room service) were always helpful and attentive. They made my stay at the hotel more comfortable.

1.I booked an extra day to extend my stay and I notified the hotel countless times prior to the checkout day. But on Sunday, they still called me 3 times asking when am I checking out, even though I told them I was extending my stay. They could’ve handled that issue better and communicated with each other or check their system instead of harassing me when I had already paid for an extra day. This was poorly handled and uncalled for. 2. Everytime I called for room service or housekeeping the phone would either not go through or not be answered, I’d need to dial 3-4 times. Therefore phone etiquette needs to be addressed so that it can match the standard of the hotel.

I have requested that the team prepare a birthday welcoming, I requested flowers, balloons and champagne is the room apon my arrival and nothing happened which spoiled my evening

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The hotel's central location made it easy to take a leisurely walk to the beach, offering a perfect blend of urban convenience and coastal relaxation. The standout feature was the terrific staff; they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always went out of their way to ensure a memorable experience. The cleanliness of the hotel and the availability of everything I needed were highly commendable. The beautiful views from my room added an extra touch of magic to my stay, making it a truly unforgettable experience. I also thoroughly enjoyed dining at the hotel's restaurant. Moreover, the hotel's location made it convenient to explore the nearby promenade, with a wide array of restaurants within easy walking distance, providing plenty of dining options. Overall, my stay at this hotel was exceptional, with its prime location, friendly staff, cleanliness, and the ease of access to both the beach and nearby restaurants. I highly recommend it for a fantastic stay in the heart of the city.

Hotel is well situated in Umhlanga. Rooms are not directly sea-facing but rather side views. On arrival, the reception does not feel 5 star. No valet parking or assistance with luggage. Staff are friendly but you can see that they are new to their jobs. Staff sometimes lacked the etiquette expected in a 5 star hotel.

We were treated like royalty from the moment we checked- in to the very last day. Everything about this place is professional, the hotel, the restaurant, the the staff... Everything is top tier. Im happy and have no regrets for booking there.Radisson blu Mhlanga will now be my home away from home when I'm in Durban. All the hotel managers are on top of their game and are on a roll. Staff is friendly and always checking if you are ok. I'm really humbled by the warm and loving hospitality I received at Radisson blu. There is nothing I didn't like about this place. No complaints at all.

lovely view, big neat and clean room, comfortabke bed, modern, well located. Secure...seems cleaners dont touch any of your things, which is great. Will likely visit again.

Room service was slow and got my order mixed up, Coffee and red cap got cold. bedding got a little dirty from wet bags I was carrying....noticed they never put clean bedding on but just folded over the dirty part. Coffee bar downstairs you have to make them aware you sitting down to have coffee or they wont take your order. The same is true with the resturaunt.... so staff not really attentive.

The view was outstanding. The staff were very helpful in every way, whether at reception or the restaurant. the breakfast buffet was the best. The dinner portions are huge and worth the money spent. However, the restaurant menu is very limited and does not meet the needs of our Indian community.

Suggestion: Have buffet nights or bangra buffet nights then you will pull the crowd. The lifts needs to be cleaned and sanitised on a daily basis (It is so beautiful). on a whole the hotel staff needs to maintain the upkeep of the hotel to maintain its beauty. The mattresses need to be rotated and guests must be given an option to choose between feather and foam pillows and duvets because of allergy. We did request a non-slip mat for the shower. The seating around the hotel and bedrooms needs to be reviewed as the cushions are very uncomfortable. For the price I paid I expected a much more luxurious space.
