The hotel is just welcoming from the moment you walk into reception, the staff we interacted with were all helpful and very friendly. The rooms were clean and furnished to a good standard given the price range of the hotel. The bathroom facilities, toiletries etc were of very good quality. Parking on site (paid) is also a welcome bonus. Location to the old town is also good.

Only two minor criticisms; there is some noise carrying through the bathroom walls where you can hear every movement. Also the bed in 310 tends to slide across the floor if you sit up in bed against the headboard, a simple fix

The secure underground car park right next door. The ability to prepay and book secure parking via booking.com The decor and fittings and high ceilings are from another era. This must have cost a fortune when it was first built! But it does stand the test of time - rooms are well proportioned, bed comfortable, double glazing kept out road noise and heating worked fine. What's not to like? Staff could not have been more helpful. Printed out 2 x Passenger Locator Forms 4 pages each no charge. Thank you... Breakfast buffet was massive served in an impressive ballroom. All staff spoke good English. Happy to stay there again overnight en route from Costa del Sol to Santander. If you have never been to Avila it is worth an extra night to look around. Plaza Major delighful. Cathedral a bit of a granite let down, Hotel recommended restaurant in town (Bococo) exquisite.

The ten minute walk into the old town but then I am lazy...

I always stay at this hotel, at least one time per semester. I love the staff, the parking, the location and all the things provide. It is super nice and sometime they even make an upgrade for me in a room with a terrace.

I love the hotel, but this time the air condition was not working proper. I could not control the wheather and early in the morning was hot and at night also. I think is something, but is not a big problem.

Every lady at reception was amazing! They may not speak native-like English but they try their best to speak as clearly as possible. They also apologise for the inconveniences in our communication profusely yet they did not need to. Location is amazing. 2min from the train station and 15min from old town centre. Facility is amazing! Strong wifi for working remotely too.

At night you can hear the traffic as half of the rooms are facing the public road between train station and town centre

It literally right in front of the Avila train station. Also, the breakfast was really good. Only about a 10 to 15 minutes walk from the towns attractions.

The air conditioning was broke and wasn't told to me on check in only found out as I awoke sweating. Talked with the front desk about my room being so hot. They were able to move me to a room that allowed me to open the window. Overall, this was my only issue.

It was a nice staff and the terrace in the room was very pleasant. The breakfast was good. As the city center is close to the cars, it was a good idea to be a the hotel and park the car outside. The room has a small fridge so we could put inside our things. They offered us 2 bottles of water

The air-conditioning was difficult to control and it was very hot, so we didn't very sleep well.

Very comfortable bed. The small fridge was very useful. Well situated for the old town and the station. We had no problem parking nearby. The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. A special mention to Miriam for superb customer service. Thank you.

It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Breakfast was adequate and decent selection. Good location and only a 10min walk into old town. On site parking also a bonus.

Thought canteen could have opened a bit longer in evening. Room soundproofing could have been a bit better

The room was clean. They offered you water with lemon at the lobby for free. The price was ok.

The A/C took a lot to start cooling the room. We could not cancel/modify the parking lot booking. We asked for twin beds in a room and we got a big bed instead. The mini bar at the room was not cooling the food.

It was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Parking was nearby but a little difficult to access first time round. The staff spoke very little English but we understood most of what was said.
