A stunning building in a prime central location. Easy walking distance from all the main attractions in the old city. Superb breakfast, and good value too. Some motorbike parking available in the underground car park (paid).

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city. The hotel itself is also beautiful, clean and well kept. The restaurant is excellent (the menu was great value) and the staff there were lovely. The room had everything needed and was well furnished. A very nice place.

The bed was like a rock. This is obviously a personal preference and so it depends on the type of bed one likes. But for us it was terribly uncomfortable. The main problem with the hotel is noise. We could hear pretty much everything going on in the room next door, which for the price we paid is not acceptable. If we had wanted to share a room with others (which is what it felt like at times) we would have stayed in a hostel for an eighth of the price. In addition, there was lots of noise in the corridor from other guests and the cleaning staff. Overall the lack of any insulation meant it wasn't easy to relax or sleep. A real shame as the hotel overall is lovely, but we wouldn't come back for that reason.

The hotel is literally across the street from the beautiful cathedral, and you are right within the old walls of Avila with walking distance to all of the sights. It's a gorgeous old hotel with a ton of character. Rooms are massively large (tall and spacious). Bathrooms are also huge. Parking is in a garage right under the hotel. Amazing, free breakfast in a beautiful atrium space.

Everything is very tastefully decorated and traditional, but the rooms are rather spartan. I would describe the decor as timeless & stately minimalism. I was sitting in the room one morning and was thinking that the room decor could exist in the 1950...1978...and even now.

The Breakfast was good, the welcome was good, the place of the hotel fantastic for visiting sites. I read a lot of reviews before booking and all negative comments were not correct! 1 - Parking lot is tight, but you can easy park even a big car 2 - The personal in the reception is very professional and correct 3 - The room is great and spacy 4 - The corredores yes can make you a little confused, but it´s just the first time, there is elevator and large staircases for access All in all a very good stay.

The location and historic aspects of the building. The breakfast was excellent and the bar was open until late and was not too expensive. The size of the room and bathroom (superior room!) was good. The standard of cleanliness was good.

The air conditioning was turned off in the bedrooms because they deemed it cold enough at night. However as it was hot during the day the heat built up and there was no way to cool the room. it should be down to the individual to decide if they need air conditioning or not. Despite paying for a superior room there were no drawers in it to store clothes only a wardrobe. there were no drawers in the bedside cabinet either so everything had to be left out all over the place.

It's location is very central. Very near the cathedral. Staff is nice. The building has its special charm. Room is very well decorated imitating the old days but with a modern twist.

Parking on the hotel is very expensive. But there are no alternatives.(unless the car stays parked outside, on the roadside, on the parking meter, but, in that case the meter should be "fed" on a regular basis) In the morning , on the corridors cleaning maids do a lot of noise (at least they did when we stayed there). They're working, I know, but they should be a lot more attentive with the still lodged customers

very clean, super convenient place in the old town of Avila, has it’s own parking garage. the restaurant serves the best Avila steaks I ever had!

Good variety of food for breakfast, served in an attractive conservatory. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful building - indeed a palace- and it felt very luxurious. In spite of this the price was reasonable, especially given that the hotel is right opposite the cathedral, so a great central location, yet quiet. Would definitely be my first choice for a return visit to lovely Ávila.

The eggs at breakfast were lukewarm as they were kept under a warm lamp.

Excellent location with room overlooking the cathedral. The bedroom was large with very comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom with shower over the bath. The restaurant is in the centre of the quadrant and looks impressive.

Reception upon arrival was very offhand to the point of being rude. The cuisine at dinner was variable, with some dishes excellent and others disappointing. The seal on the bath shower screen has degraded so having a shower leaves a lot of water on the floor.

This was a very good choice of hotel for our short visit to Ávila, the staff were very friendly and efficient, the hotel itself is in an excellent location for sightseeing.

A very small problem with the overhead shower fitting which wouldn't allow the shower head to be fixed in such a way as to allow a 'hands free' shower, as I said it was a very small problem.
