Location outstanding. Next to the cathedral in an old 14th c palace. Welcoming reception I was lucky to be given a room overlooking the side of the cathedral with an alley in between. Room spacious. Super clean. Super comfortable. Quiet night Great value for money

Lighting in room very poor. My major issue was the overpowering perfume smell from the room which persisted through the night. The sheets and towels were fine. Most folk including staff and smokers would be desensitised and not be able to smell it. Other folk like it but there is a large group who find it unpleasant and increasing evidence that such chemicals are toxic for humans and out waterways. Perfumes banned in hospitals.

The view out of the window over the sunshine on the stone walls of the Cathedral from a comfortable easy chair was an amazing bonus, while the hotel itself is one of the historic buildings of central Avila so you feel as if you are living right in the midst of the history. The lobby and lounges gave a sense of luxury, style and interest. Avila is obviously a fascinating place in its own right. The breakfast was superb, with many delightful local touches and some real novelties.

Nothing really, just wanted to stay a little longer.

Thank you for accommodating our request (loaning us a kettle for my warm water) especially Mr. Jesus Martin who sent me my request as soon as he'd read my message. The receptionist speaks a little english and although he's trying very much to help, i think it will be more encouraging to tourists if somebody can speak our international language which is english. Our room is clean and spacious. We had a lovely stay in the stunning Avila, Spain!

The heater/aircon is turning off and on (which is centralized), i dunno why. I hope you can provide a simple kettle for tea, coffee and warm water. Thank you.

The hotel was basically next door the the main Cathedral of Avila which is itself built into the famous city wall. I booked a room for 3 nights with a view of the cathedral which was great. I had a very large double-bed which was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok in the morning with the usual selection of breads, fruit, cereals and yogurt...and the usual hot scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. For those that want to know...the Cathedral bells did NOT chime overnight..or much during the day for that matter...so that was not a problem.

I only have one minor negative about the hotel...the soundproofing between the rooms was not great. Although I could not understand the language..I could quite clearly hear the conversation in the adjacent room. This was not a problem at night after bedtime. I was only aware of it because the weather in Avila was not good for my visit and I spent quite a bit of the daytime in my room reading.

Beautiful hotel located in the city centre next to the cathedral, very close to restaurants and historical buildings. The hotel was very quiet, beautifully decorated, unique floral motifs painted on the walls, wonderful floral fragrance spread throughout spacious corridors. Outstanding breakfast. One of the most pleasant hotels we have been to in Spain. Definitely to be recommended!

No parking at the hotel, but is it located in the old town, so this is understandable. You can park in front of the main entrance while unpacking your car.

We liked it all! We did not have breakfast included, so I can not comment on it. The rest was all very nice! The room is great, all works, the bed is enormous, the balcony is loverly, raining shower also great and all bathroom amenities are of great quality.

Our machine to heat water was not clean (since a while, based on the smell it had). We had to flag that at the reception. I would not expect this mistake to pass by the cleanners. But this was the only inconvenience during all the stay.

Pros: Great location, at the heart of the old town and can walk everywhere; super comfortable bed, room size is great; balcony was useful; shower was large with great water pressure and never ran out of hot water, the bathroom was a great size with a water closet; Kettle and free water available in the room; reception staff really friendly and helpful

Cons: nothing really but if I had to nitpick theres no bidet in the toilet and they only clean the room at a certain point in the day so if you Miss it you wont get your room cleaned

The location of this hotel is excellent. I got a room overlooking the plaza in front of the cathedral. The hotel is in a historic building yet things like the bathroom were fully modern and actually pretty spacious now that I think about it. I really enjoyed the place.

I didn't come to Spain to watch TV, but I suppose that the TV in the room was kind of lousy. No cable and a limited selection of Spanish language channels.

The room was large and extremely clean. We had a wonderful view of the cathedral. At night it was very quiet. We slept really well. The breakfast was superb. Very professional and welcoming staff. Our old dog also enjoyed the stay!

We liked everything. The only aspect that could be improved is the AC, which is not very powerful, but we were lucky that our stay did not take place during very hot days.

I loved everything! It couldn't have been more authentic and beautiful. I have no sense of direction, so the location, next to the cathedral, was such a huge help. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely go back there and will certainly recommend it.
