Petit Palace Chueca

Location is great & centrally located for all the major tourist sites. There are also very interesting neighborhoods nearby. Most of the staff were great, but the one individual who checked me in seemed a little less friendly.

While it might be expected that most hotel rooms in European urban centers are small, this room was quite small. Also, the walls, doors and floors are very thin, so creaking floors in adjacent rooms made it sound like someone was in the room. Also, when neighboring guests would return to rooms, could easily hear their conversations in the hallway.

The hotel is really cute. Many fun small details have been planned well. I especially like the towels with the writing "This is a Towel", and the notepad with the writing "Almost a blank sheet of paper." We stayed here during our honeymoon and received a note and champagne which was a nice touch and much appreciated. The location is amazing right off the Gran Via and is a great value for money. The lobby is a coffee shop-type space which is cool and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The elevator was out of service when we checked out so we had to carry everything down the stairs.

This hotel is right off the Gran Via and easy walking distance to the Chueca district. The hotel is environmentally friendly, I liked the bottled water in paper bottles. It's an older building with an old style elevator. The beds are comfortable, there is a desk, nice bathroom with good size shower with good water pressure and hot water (it takes a while to get hot water at some hours). Nice closet to store clothes and luggage. The room faced the street with doors that open but no balcony. There is a small cafe on site and lots of restaurants close by.

The hotel is located right across from the casino and is close to major street Gran Via so there is quite a bit of noise. I heard several fights break out during my stay and the garbage trucks every night are really noisy. I highly recommend ear plugs or request a room on the other end of the building or higher floor (I was on the first floor), lower room numbers will be farther away from the noise (101-105) I was in 109.

The hotel is a real pearl! This is a small boutique hotel, very well decorated, the location is exceptional right near the Gran Via metro station on a side street. Huge variety of restaurants, bars and shops near the hotel. The rooms were very clean, the customer service was great 👍 The breakfast was really good with a lot of choices. Well exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Central location coming along with the noise till very late so if you looking for quiet location this choice might be not for you. The other thing to mention is the thin walls (old building) we could hear the water flushing but besides that the hotel is highly recommended

This is the perfect hotel for a city break with a partner or friends. It's right off the Gran Via, so bang in the centre of Madrid city but down a side street that isn't as hectic as the main strip. It was great value for money considering the location and had everything we wanted for a few days exploring the city. It's also around the corner from lots of great shops and restaurants. It's a few minutes walk away from Chueca where there are lots of fun bars and clubs, so you can have a big night out and just walk home too. It was also clean, the bed was comfy and the staff were helpful too.

We weren't aware that they charged for the water in the mini bar (as it was the only thing in there) so we got charged for a few bottles at the end of our stay when we assumed they were complimentary. There is also no bar/restaurant area in the hotel (but there is a busy cafe which was always full of people working) so there isn't any way to grab a quick drink or nightcap before bed.

Fist of all, the location is superb - it's just off Gran Via and therefore very centrally located. You can reach most of the attractions by walk. Although its location is very central, it's not very noisy at night. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was as expected - not huge however it was comfortable enough for the two of us. Breakfast is also really good and reached our expectations. Some of the items (such as scrambled eggs) were available daily whilst others (such as bacon) were not. The coffee is really good as well. Overall the hotel has a very nice décor. We would definitely reconsider staying at this hotel if we visit Madrid again.

The breakfast area is quite small, therefore it can get quite crowded at times. Moreover, the wi-fi sometimes didn't connect and therefore had to use roaming data.

Great location just steps off the Gran Via & near Puerta del Sol. We were able to get coffee & danishes on the property in the morning or on the Gran Via where many shops/cafes are located. The staff were readily available and provided great suggestions for dining and touring.

We were an adult family of 4. Every quadruple has bunk beds. This was a bit awkward but we managed. Nice if rooms had 2 full size beds. The ladder to the bunk was not bolted and could be dangerous for safety.

The room size for the 4 of us was perfect for what we needed. Which was to basically sleep and shower. Beds were very comfortable.

We absolutely could not regulate the temperature in the room - we literally had it on the coldest possible setting and woke up as if we were in a sauna - would have given even higher ratings had we been able to take care of this. The location is great if you want to be in the center of everything. We would choose to stay at another Petite Palace more outside the city next time - little too "city" for us.
