Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden

Beautiful design, the rooms and general areas of hotel are stunning! would agree with other reviews rooms aren’t quite suite size for an all suite hotel. The gardens and pool areas a beautiful, small pool as expected for a city hotel Food was excellent, we dined for dinner twice and both times the food was incredible. The staff were so helpful and friendly, couldn’t help you enough, which was much appreciated.

The all day and in suite dining menu is very expensive, €16 for fries and €34 for a burger, so it does feel like a rip off especially compared to the dinner menu

Room was too low kept banging my head on Rafters, steps to bathroom in middle of night an inconvenience.I was staying for 8 nights and they gave me the worse room in the loft with windows yiu can’t see out of The pictures of the high ceiling rooms are on only on 2 levels……give these rooms to people who don’t stay 8 nights and also I booked a room for my children too you’d think I’d get a better room

We had the best possible stay at Can Bordoy. The staff was extremely friendly and more than fulfilled all our wishes. We celebrated our anniversary and ordered therefore a bottle of cava to the room in advance - when we arrived, we came into a beautifully decorated room with a small surprise from the house in addition to our order. In addition, I think we got a free room upgrade. Our room was beautiful, special and extremely cozy. Particularly noteworthy is the comfortable and huge bed. The location of the hotel is perfect to explore Palma. The house and garden are beautiful, unfortunately it was a bit too cold for the two pools in February, but both the rooftop pool and the pool in the garden looked very well maintained and inviting. We had planned to stay two nights and ended up extending for one night.

The hotel really meets all wishes, lunch in the restaurant (multi-course menu) was unfortunately not quite as convincing. The various courses were partly unfortunately a bit bland, partly not quite harmonious. Maybe we have caught a bad day...

The staff were very kind and helpful. The pool and outdoor eating area was lovely.

The rooms are really not like the picture. The pictures make the room look deceptively bigger and more extravagant, and our room at least was very dark. The room had looked like it wasn't very clean on the walls and ceilings. We had a dinner at the restaurant one evening and they missed a couple of the courses (they offered one they forgot after the dessert was served)

On the inside, it looks like original features were either restored or recreated, then paired with wonderful art deco and mid-century designs, with velvet headboards and custom-made cabinetry along with cozy lighting that made us feel at home. The garden and pool were a sanctuary from the heart of the city and were screened by evergreen shrubs and flowers and two beautiful lilac Handroanthus Impetiginosus trees which gracefully shed its flowers to add colour to the garden. The greenery has also made its way inside, to inspire the wonderful Botanic, which had to be the most impressive restaurant we've eaten at in a while. The staff were superb - always attentive, and always wearing a smile. The spa was also a welcome retreat and the perfect place for a post-flight massage. The best place to stay if your looking for a hotel in the heart of Palma

The staff were fabulous, they were incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. The garden was beautiful. We travelled with my small dog and it was really easy with him and lovely to have this gorgeous facility. The food in the restaurant was excellent and it was just really relaxing to sit outside day or evening. The pool was lovely and relaxing too. The location was amazing in a really nice part of Palma close to all the chic shopping, restaurants and sights. The whole design of the hotel is really beautiful and we would love to return again soon!

The rooms vary quite a lot given the nature of this being a converted mansion house. We booked a junior suite and although the design was beautiful we were a little underwhelmed by the space and layout, and it wasn't very functional or practical for two women travelling with quite a bit of luggage - for example there was nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom and no desk or dressing table or chair to place your things. Having said that the bed was lovely and we had a nice view into the courtyard. It was also a little hard to get service by the pool, and it could benefit from some small side tables by the loungers to place drinks and snacks.

Breakfast was delicious. Hotel building and grounds beautiful. We especially loved the rooftop with plunge pool. Location was excellent for walking around the old town and port. Staff were charming.

Some staff took a while to recognise us, which was unusual in a small hotel. We were asked a few times if we were guests eg before going to the rooftop. However it was early season. Otherwise staff were excellent and helpful.

Absolutely perfect location in Old Town walkable to almost every important location as a sight seeing visitor. Excellent all day breakfast available till midnight in renowned Green restaurant, Botanics on the lobby level. One of the nicest spas in a boutique hotel of this size anywhere in the world. Housekeeping kept rooms and place immaculate all thru day and evening. Staff was incredibly accommodating and nice. My Garden View room had unique bathroom features custom made such as sinks and faucets were beyond belief.

Very beautiful old building, which has been decorated perfectly. The staff and service was lovely and you can’t beat the location. The bar was small but well stocked and very nicely decorated. The restaurant is worth booking ahead for. Breakfast is very good, proper coffee and fresh orange juice.

Was a little disappointed with our room as we were expecting a suite because the website says the hotel is only suites. We booked the smallest one - the traveller suite but it was really just a room, so was a bit expensive for what it was. Although it was beautifully decorated and housekeeping was perfect, there was also a little noise from footsteps but I guess this is because it’s an old building.

Location is great, near the harbor, the cathedral and the promenade. Staff is lovely and goes the extra mile for you. The garden and the pool in the hotel is amazing! Perfect size and never feels too busy. Valet parking is excellent and the friendliest guys take care of your car. Highly recommended place!

Only that some things were forgotten every now and then, and the breakfast could be a bit smoother in the process. But they make it up by being so friendly and kind, and these are things that always can be improved easily.
