Hotel Stockalperhof

Our family room with a balcony facing town square was spacious, cozy and super clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive - they contacted me directly in the morning with some useful information. I also liked the tea/coffee/compliment water supply and that they provided glasses for every guest, not standard two glasses as other hotels usually do.

Rooms look newly renovated and are modern and clean. It is a shirt walk of ant 5-8 mins from the train station. We were there on a Monday, so it was quiet. Since it is right at the square, I can imagine it being noisy and rowdy on weekends or special occasions. Rooms slippers, bath robes, coffee machines, and kettle are provided.

Can't think of anything. We only stayed 1 night so everything was fine.

Just perfect for our 2 night stay - in the middle of the town, a short walk from train station. Fabulous atmosphere Room was spacious and bright.

We didn’t dislike but were surprised by the music noise from the square at the weekend. My 81 year old husband took out his hearing aids at bedtime and I lay in bed listening to the young people enjoying themselves - it was vibrant and uplifting but not to everyone’s taste. Apparently this only happens at weekends.

We had a balcony on the fourth floor. And we spent a lot of time there to watch the world go by. That little balcony, if nothing else, is where we are going to leave our hearts in Switzerland.

The entrance is crowded by diners of its restaurant. You have to walk through them during the meal time.

Everything was impeccable! The room was lovely, quiet and cleaned to very high standards. The breakfast was fantastic with everything you can ask for and definitely great value for money. The staff was amazing and very professional, expecially our breakfast waitress, who we had lovely chats with and truly added a personal touch to our stay! It was special to find a personal handwritten note at our arrival, we felt truly taken care of. A little gem in the heart of Brig!

There was a carnival at the centre of the square and the staff very thoughtfully emailed earlier that there would be noise and I could cancel if I liked. Also, they provided ear plugs to help to reduce the sound. Helpful and courteous staff. excellent location - right in the centre of the square and so close to the palace. Great breakfast too. Excellent place to stay

The parking was a bit difficult. It was paid parking all around and we had to park a bit far as all the slots were full

Superb location in the center of alt stadt, with easy walking to shops and restaurants; Parking was convenient at alt stadt carpark - walked out of carpark into back entrance to hotel; Food in restaurant was exceptional and breakfast provided in morning was wonderful;

Confusion over CHE Covid protocols, and documents required, made arrival and evening dining awkward, but manageable; We are fully vaccinated, boosted, and had negative test results (less than 24 hrs) motoring in from DE

The location in the center of this picturesque Swiss town could not have been better. Our balcony had views of the town as well as the mountains. The breakfast was delicious! Can’t wait to visit Brig again and we will definitely stay here when we do.

Great staff and perfect location. Comfy bed and good sized bathroom.

No A/C. I know this is common around Europe, but there’s really no excuse for it in the 21st century, shouldn’t have to sleep hot just because it doesn’t always get hot in a region.

Friendly and helpful staff! The hotel is located at the centre of Brig and only 5 minutes from the train station. The breakfast was good.

People were shoutting outside of the hotel in the night, which was difficult to sleep.
