Schlosshotel - Self Check-In Hotel

Nice plentiful breakfast! All kinds of breads, rolls, croissants! Cheeses, cold cuts. Etc. Fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals. The coffee machine made nice coffee drinks. All kinds of teas! Nice helpful staff! Very nice owner helpful. Making sure everything goes well.I also need to mention great location right next to beautiful Schloss. I love to walk around there.About 10 minutes walk to Train station very convenient! It’s really easy to get to many places by train or bus.It’s a quiet location.

It got really busy during my last day stay. Was not there much in the day but in the evening got pretty noisy, people slamming doors, kids running around and screaming. It stopped at around 21:00.

This was a great place to stay the night. Clean room with fridge, kettle and coffee machine and comfy bed. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good. The owner even came in and checked on everyone during breakfast which I thought was nice! We somehow accidentally booked the wrong date and when I rang the owner he was really good at communicating what I should do and that it wasn't an issue to change dates - really appreciated that. Online self check-in with digital key was something new and worked really well for us! Just need to make sure you have internet access but otherwise there is also an option to set up a keycard at the entrance.

As the name indicates there is no check-in, it's all done on-line, so remember to have a smartphone handy to unlock the front door and the room. There is very limited parking around the hotel, and it was not possible to reserve a spot (no one there to put up a reserved sign...). The rooms are well-equipped, and there is a little restaurant directly next to the lobby of the hotel. The décor is a bit dated, but it's all spotlessly clean and functioning. The view from some of the rooms of the castle are lovely.

I like this hotel very much cause they have a facilities of coffee maker, water cooker, hair dryer, etc. in the room. Good breakfast in the morning. Nice personals and the owner of hotel is also kind & care. Location is very nice, just beside the castle (see my picture took from balcony) and in quite place also near the train station. I Wil be back there/advising my friends to stay in Schlosshotel if they're visiting Zwitserland.

Wonderful cosy hotel close to the castle in Brig. Family atmosphere... Self-check in is not so scary (but look out for the national letters machine cannot find the reservation with them - it is better to use simple latin characters or have the number of reservation without dots - Booking.com's print includes some dots). Wonderful views, and almost every room has balcony. Mountains are around so view is always ok. Great Swiss breakfast with cheese... Prices are really good considering Switzerland...

Amazing location, with mountains all around. Walking distance to everything. The owner was so lovely and nice, always asking whether we were comfortable and happy there. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and breakfast room was so lovely decorated. Room was old, but very clean and big, with a nice terrace large overlooking the mountains. Our dog was welcome for a fee. We needed to leave our luggage as I had my car for repairs, and they were kind to keep it until the afternoon. Also, we arrived early, and our room was ready, no issues with early check in. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights, and they charged us CFH 10 per night (20 CFH for 2 nights)for the dog. I know and agree that cleaning after a dog is more work, but since the room wasn’t vacuumed every morning, I would have found it fare to pay a one-off fee for the dog.

What a stunning place! Rarely do you get a room with such views, combined with such down-to-earth facilities (where we could use the garden and dining room for our own purposes) and delightful staff. The WiFi was also fantastic. The self check-in was seamless and when we needed a staff member, they were always there very quickly.

They made a minor mistake in not having more than 0.5 toilet rolls in our room. Switzerland is also pricey, but that's nothing to do with the hotel! It is very reasonable for the area.

The Hotel is just a short walk away from the city centre and the train station and offers an excellent view on the Alps and the beautiful Brig castle right next to it. Thanks to its proximity to the castle garden/park, it's very quiet and serene, in the morning especially. We had some trouble with the automatic check in but Jörg and the hotel staff went to great length to ensure that we could check in sooner and deposit our luggage in our room. He was very corteous and hospitable throughout, and I'd like to thank hime again for the great stay! Our bedroom was very clean and nicely furnished, fitted with a balcony that allowed an amazing view on the castle and the mountain range rising above the village. All in all a perfect opportunity to stay, very accessible and affordable. 10/10 recommended

The staff were great, beds very comfortable, lift efficient and shower fantastic!!! Good location near the Schloss so a pretty walk down into the old town. Had a kettle and fridge in the room which was great. Our room had a huge balcony with wonderful view of the Schloss. Very quiet in the room.

Nothing really. Decor not to my taste but was tidy and clean. Strong smell of frying from the Imbiss next door but only in hotel corridor not in the room.

Exceptional value for money in Switzerland Excellent communication re self check in. I was lucky enough to be given such a lovely room with a balcony and view of the castle. Such a wonderful location. Easy walk from train Very clean room. Lovely bed linen and comfy mattress. Coffee machine appreciated. Breakfast included. Good choice of fresh fruit.
