Maclin Lodge Motel

Lovely service. Nice big room. Room seemed quite new and very clean. Everything a room needed. Restaurant on property was steps away and had lovely staff and food and super quick service. They had ice creams and drinks too if you needed a little something else. I wasn’t sure what the area was like so I liked that I didnt need to leave the property once I returned each day. Laundry’s on site. I nice garden area too which was unexpected. It seems like an ok area though I didn’t venture around Campbelltown at all as I had plans.

Salt water pool impressed me, but it wasnt super clean and was super dooper cold, so I only stood in it thigh high to sooth my sore legs.

The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and the facilities were acceptable. The room was a little dated, and the light switches in particular were a little strange - it seemed you could not turn the balcony light on without having the main room light on. That aside, everything was functional.

The buildings are obviously not new, and the stairs in particular showed their age. If it had been raining weather, carrying luggage up the stairs in the rain could have been an issue, as the stairs are external and without an awning.

The Room and location

Just how Midnight to Morning staff handled our concerns raised because he did not show much care towards it. - we had a undrained handbasin sink that was probably used during Room Service but they probably forgot to be drain out the water. I asked reception if I could be provided hand cloves to unblock the sink but priority was not given towards our concerns and also staff comments towards it was not very comforting and apologetic for the service…probably just needs a refresher in that area.

Very clean and extremely comfortable stay. My kids told me to give a 10/10 for the beds. It is a motel with good value for money at $160 a night for a family of 5. It is close to the highway, which as a family only traveling through, was very convenient.

The only thing that made the stay a little difficult was the lack of crockery or a toaster in the room. We did have a kettle and some mugs, but no spoons. Whilst I appreciate being a. More budget motel it isn’t necessarily something that is f e, but as a young family traveling through, it did make our morning quite difficult trying to get breakfast organised before an early start in the road again.

It was a great place to stay and in a great location close to shops we come to pick a car up and the motel was less then 5 minutes from the place we had to go plenty of places to eat nearby and garage straight across the road and medical centre as well very convenient close to train station and not far from the mall was good

The only thing I could say that wasn't good was the room didn't have cutlery or plates to have a meal on when we bought it back to the room but other then that was good

I stayed in an apartment (2 bedroom) with my son - so we each had our own bedroom which was good. The apartment was quite spacious so did not feel "hemmed in" - I had a friend visit late afternoon and we bought dinner at the Chinese Restaurant which was handy.

The apartment could do with a refurbishment. The furniture is drab and uninviting . Could do with an updated paint. Air conditioning did not work in the living area. Kitchen lacked decent utensils - No salt . The bathroom was smelly all the time.

Property were very accommodating with having Rooms on ground floor - side by side - really very much appreciated - as I have a Disability. Parking right outside room - so good.

The beds were saggy in the middle. Garbage Truck at 2AM - 2 Nights - so loud and noisy - maybe Property could consider moving the Bin to another area away from Rooms.

Spacious, comfortable room in a convenient location. Nice big bathroom with toilet and shower separated from the double vanity. Despite our late check in, the room was warm, with our receipt and wifi code ready for us. Looks like there’s plenty of parking too. We were able to walk to a restaurant (Rashays) in about 5 minutes and the hotel was easy to find and easy to leave from in the morning.

Climbing a flight of stairs with a suitcase isn’t fun but I kind of expected that. Not a big deal really.

Very comfortable bed in a large room with good amount of power points, Modern looking bathroom. The motel being so close to the railway line is actually very quiet and without any traffic noise. Only a short walk to shops and train station. Plenty of parking on site.

Hot water took ages to come, be patient. Mugs in cupboard were not very clean, a common problem in motels.

We were happy with the size of the room, which was nice and clean as well as two very comfortable queen beds. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. We could not ask for better treatment.

One thing we wished we had in the room - was microwave. That was the only thing Mclean could improve on (as far as we were concerned.
