Forbes Victoria Inn

Our extended family travelled to Forbes at short notice due to a family health crisis that turned into a bereavement and funeral. as a result we were progressively extending our stay, adding more rooms as more people arrived - all very chaotic at a stressful and emotional time. I can’t speak too highly of how the manager and staff helped and looked after us, arranging a string of adjacent rooms, adjusting to changes of plans and cutting us a managers deal on the room rate. the rooms were very comfortable and clean, too.

well, a swimming pool would be great but really I have no complaints

Very clean room having all what you expect from its type of room. Great location along the main road of the city. Lake is just at the back. Walking distance to the city center, post office, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, fast foods, local bus stop and Visitor Center/freight train/bus station. All staff rendered very good customer service. Front desk staff kindly gave away two lightning compatible wall plugs when I needed them; called for taxi service for me. Cleaners willingly opened my room 'cause I forgot my key inside. After checkout, they allow you to leave your travel bag in safe keeping while you spend time around the city.

Sue the owner was delightful, very friendly and extremely helpful. We were very very appreciative that she laundered my mothers clothes so she could wear them to our family reunion. Beautiful kind soul. Great size room with big bathroom and balcony. Close to ammenities and easily accessible to the lake for walks.

The sofa's material was a bit scratchy. A long walk from the carpark up the corridors to the our room, tricky with elderly parent.

As a last minute choice, it was ideally located close to Main Street and Club Forbes. We stayed two nights and all facilities were at a high standard. Its proximity to Lake Forbes and the room location at the very end of block made it very pleasant.

On occasions the shower spray spread out of the cubicle over the bathroom floor.

Quiet in the room considering the main road location. Plenty of room, large space

The hot water was tepid. Both from the shower and sink tap. Someone else in another room said their hot water was also not hot. A bit disappointed after a day playing sport to not get a hot shower, both days

Great size, plenty of room to move. The bathroom was extremely clean, large and had all the accessories for us to use. Easy access, plenty of parking and a great country town to walk around. Excellent.

It is our second time to visit we love the place. The only thing we have not experienced was their restaurant facilities. We do like to support more food places in the community. Amazing town doing lots for their community.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and staff very friendly. The properties proximity to the Services Club (walking distance) was excellent.

Our only problem with the room was that the Air Con/ Heating, although working (just), needs a service.

Very spacious room with a desk and breakfast table. Comfortable double bed. In the corridor there was crockery and cutlery and a communal toaster. So Everything you need for a comfortable stay for more than 1 night. Also good to have undercover parking for the motorcycle.

Shower head had very poor flow.

Location was nice, I enjoyed being able to walk around the lake after dinner. It was unfortunate that the restaurant wasn’t open as very little in town was open either. Room was nice & clean and reception staff were lovely.

If the restaurant is going to be closed it would be very helpful to have a list of restaurants that are open that day. I do understand that this is not always possible due to current Covid challenges.

The location...the helpful reception staff. Unavailability of breakfasts.

The air conditioning units in the car park below the rooms are a dangerous hazard as they hang too low. There should be a soft guard around them in case someone bumps their head. The lights in the car park were not on early in the night. I had to use my phone torch. The bed was a bit too hard.
