Ascot Motor Inn

I would like to start with the Manager/Receptionist, Mathew. He is a blessing. I requested him that my family is coming to stay overnight and my partner has asthma. He spent 15-20 mins changing all the bedding covers and sheets right in front of them when they checked in. He made sure the room was absolutely clean and tidy. Mathew is highly professional, kind, responsible, reliable and passionate towards his customers. He was available to assist with all requests and quesries anytime of the day/night. I would highly recommend families to choose this place for their stay.

There was some knocking/hammering noise outside that was probably not part of the motel. But overall it was a pleasure.

Conveniently located in relation to the motorways and shops. Ample parking. It is situated on a busy road but the traffic didn’t disturb us once. The owner and staff at Ascot Manor and the neighbouring Fox and Hound restaurant was outstanding. The food was really good too.

The room wasn’t serviced to take and replace clean cups and teaspoons etc.

The bed was very comfortable. The location was convenient for us as we have family living near by that we are unable to stay with due to their house size. It was handy having a restaurant on site and was pleasantly surprised at the food quality. The restaurant was also nice and clean.

Couple of minor issues directly related to age of building, but it is obvious that the management is working to improve those issues and it will take time.

Conveniently located near train station. Had a fantastic dinner there - a special deal which was excellent value and a first rate meal. The manager was very efficient.

ATM the rooms are a little bit dated, but they are very clean and fit the bill for a reasonably priced motel near good transportation links.

I loved how friendly the staff, I felt so welcome immediately! They also had an awesome menu at their restaurant, and had one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had!

I truly enjoyed my stay so much, I can’t think of any way it could have been better!

Good size room with basic facilities. Comfy bed, friendly staff, a very handy location when you're driving from Brisbane to Canberra. Close to a number of shops and restaurants. Very good value.

I would have liked a microwave in the room. The restaurant downstairs wasn't open so it would have been nice to be able to heat something up for dinner.

Sunday dinner at the onsite restaurant 'Bull Horn Saloon' was an amazing experience, food, drink options, service impeccable and reasonably priced for the great quality. A real hidden gem and popular with those locals in the know. Open Thursday to Sunday with late closing is perfect so they can make it economical to run. Well done guys!

The Wifi was down but understand it was being repaired. Used by mobile data for working from room and wasn't a problem. No complaints.

The staff are so friendly (especially Matt the owner) and the menu for the bistro looked amazing but we didn’t have time to eat. They have brand new super awesome working air con’s.

It’s dated but you pay for what you get. The bed, sheets, bathroom were spotless clean.

Amazing location if you need somewhere quick to stay on the way past Sydney. They are doing it up and it's really sweet and retro. Loved the huge double room we got. The staff a super nice! We'll definitely return.

It is noisy with traffic, next time I'll bring earplugs. But worth it for how easy and quick it is getting back on the road.

I loved everything about it! It was clean! It was quiet! The electric jug fit under the tap. Power points, light switches and usb connectors in all the right places. Everything in my room was easy to get to. This place had character.

I can’t think of anything. The positives, far out weighed any negatives.
