Everything ! The front staffs were very friendly especially Dana. We requested for a room upgrade with balcony and this was looked into very politely. The room was clean with a peaceful lake view. The occasional visits from the birds during the day was the best part of our stay. Free parking and convenient location. Would definitely book again.

This is the best place to stay if you have family in the area or a child studying at Macquarie uni. Exceptional value and easy to get around from here- especially if you have a car. I love waking to the birds - sunlight and park in front of the hotel and its a short stroll across the grass to the uni to meet up with my daughter between lectures! The room is perfect- clean comfortable- tv- wifi! And a great coffee machine 20 m away to make your morning cuppa!! We have stayed here 3 times now for 7 days at a time and it is only getting better !

The beds are way too soft to my liking.

Love the free and ample parking. Nice and quiet. Room was clean. Lovely view. Staff helpful and friendly. 8 min fairly flat walk to Sydney Metro. The mini fridge was good and had a small working freezer section which a lot of hotel rooms don't have. Easy drive to the shopping center.

It seems a little difficult to get to the room from the carpark late at night. You seem to have to walk down a muddy hill if you can't go through reception which closes at 11pm. I might not have figured out a different way to go. Apparently if it's an issue security can let you in via reception.

Clean, comfortable room in a convenient location with ample free parking and EV charging available.

One of the considerations when I booked the room was the availability of breakfast in the hotel. It was not until I arrived that they told me that breakfast was not available either on Saturday or Sunday morning. I may have booked elsewhere had I known this. There are 3 EV chargers in the Uni car park but one was out of service and a few people said it had not worked for weeks. Not a show stopper but can't be too hard to put up a sign to say its not working or better still, fix it!

The view was fantastic, (very photogenic). The grounds with a lake & plenty of birdlife was calming and made my walks enjoyable. The stay was relaxing and there is a great shopping centre nearby. Every morning, white Cockatoos came down from the trees and sat on our balcony waiting for some nibbles. I liked the room, which had plenty of room to move around & a big desk to set up the computer and do some artwork. There was free tea and coffee in the reception area and a reading room to sit and relax if you needed some extra space.

The beds are super soft, not good if you have back problems. The tv required a university degree to work out the remote, it was so convoluted. Although there is free parking (we were lucky enough to get parking outside reception,), it is relatively unclear where the hotel carpark is and we didn't think the car was 'safe' anywhere out the back of the hotel.

We stayed in a room on the ground level with a clear glass sliding door that took us to a beautiful well-maintained sculpture park and a man-made lake. The room was spacious with comfortable furniture. A quite location to have a good night sleep.

We checked in on 1 January and found some "New Year party" rubbish left behind near our room and a big trolley-ful of dirty linens from hotel room in the corridor to our room. Being a public holiday, the hotel might understandably not have enough staff to work that day.

Location was quite central to the events we were attending as they were in the west and on the northern beaches. While close to the M2 there wasn't any noise. The view overlooking the lake and surrounding sculptures was very nice. The food at the restaurant was very good too.

While there is plenty of parking it was a bit of a walk. While the walk isn't challenging it might not be so pleasant in the rain. Surprisingly, booking through a booking agency ( like Bookings.com) is a lot cheaper than booking directly with the hotel.

The rooms each had magnificent views down a grassed expanse to a lake and up the other side to wooded slopes. Bird life was prolific and walking around the adjacent campus of Macquarie University provided exercise, eating options and stimulating information. The local shopping Centre was also a 10 minute walk away as was the train station. The rooms are a bit dated now and in need of refurbishment but still comfortable and larger than in most modern motel or hotel rooms. The restaurant served Bombay street food among some other unexpected offerings but these were always well presented and proportioned if a bit on the costly side.

Parking is available only for loading and offloading, especially when the hotel is full, and otherwise it is an 8 minute walk away. Parking is at a premium on the Macquarie University campus so we just parked the car and walked or used public transport (buses from in front of the shopping centre) and a train station nearby. As noted by others, the toilet and shower are too close together and the bathroom in general is too small with no where to hang wet towels.

clean - great location- quiet! I stayed here while I settled my daughter into uni. we don’t live nearby and have no family in Sydney. this was absolutely perfect and the right price! it’s a stone throw to the campus the residences and the shopping center. the staff were awesome and the free morning coffee much appreciated! the view from the room over the lake and the morning cockatoo visit to the balcony - the sounds of the birds - made me pinch myself- I was in Australia!

the Aircon was a bit noisy!

We didn’t put any specific requests before arriving, but once we arrived - I asked for a room with a Lake view and they were able to provide it! The room was great: spacious and clean. There is also a possibility to go to the university sport centre for free (swimming pool, gym, etc) And nice Crunch cafe within 5 minutes walk. This is definitely a place to relax :) We enjoyed staying and will definitely come back!
