Royal Hotel Ryde

Best burgers I especially loved the vege burger, the best!! My husband and kids loved their meals, we decided to eat here again for our last night only stayed 2 nights so glad we found something conveniently inhouse to our accommodation and food was well priced with generous portions (check out their weekly specials) so only made sense. Super quick service and there was only one lad on the first night. Keep up the good work :-) Beds were super comfy!! Good 2nights sleep after a full on 2 weeks we had prior to our arrival. There is so much to recommend this hotel. Its a relaxed vibe typical of an old school pub. The staff are fantastic. The food is great. The Caeser salad is highly recommended. Its huge! Beer is really well priced for Sydney and you have a full bar, so there are plenty of options. The rooms are pretty damn good for the price your paying. Top Ryde shopping centre is a 5 minute walk and has everything. I would like to add a personal note. We could have had a disaster when my wife left her purse behind before releasing it....an hour later. Fortunately it was rescued by the staff. She had a lot of foreign cards not easily replaced. She was so happy to get it back.

Nothing to dislike, Its great, but two things you should keep in mind. There is no direct train link within walking distance, although West Ryde Station is not far away and you can get the 500X bus right outside the pub and its a very short bus trip to the station that costs less than $3. I wish I did my homework on train and bus timetables beforehand. I would have saved quite a bit in taxi's. Also, just make sure you pack a shower sponge/puff (because you get liquid body cleaner) and a pair of flip flops, then its very easy

Staff were great. Room was comfortable and really close to where we needed to be. An actual key to access the room was great, as I've had problems with electronic systems not working. Great value for money

Having to go to the bathroom to fill the kettle. The coffee mugs were a bit small. The lighting could've been better and a mirror in the bedroom would've been good. The door stop is hard to see as it's black on black carpet so we tripped over it a few times. The tap in the men's bathroom sink came off when I went to use it

Bed was so comfy, clean and warm. Room had an excellent heater and plenty of luggage space. There was a desk for laptop work and chairs for reading. Only time you knew you were on top of a pub is when you went downstairs for a meal. I had fantastic bangers & mash with tea. Great location straight across from a shopping centre, next to Koi dessert bar, close to a park and a bus stop with lines to city centre nearly at the front door. Staff where very friendly, welcoming and glad to help in any way. I had a very relaxing stay and would definitely chose to stay here again.

Room had a kettle but nowhere to fill it up with water as the bathroom sinks were too small.

Ps, we bought a mirror from kmart as we wanted to get ready in our room for a concert but we could not take it back to brisbane. We thought it fit the aesthetic of the room too! You can throw it away, use it for yourselves or leave it for any future guests!! Again, thank you so much for the stay

Pretty much everything. The manager guy, white hair tall, is super sweet and helpful! He is always so kind. We became regulars and he definitely put us first… The food is great and affordable. The staff are lovely. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The shared facilities are also exceptionally clean. There is no problem too big for them, very good!

No parking.

Room as advertised. Location was great. No issues with staying above the pub with a family. Place was quiet, well kept and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beds were comfortable, but a couple were a bit squeaky. While the tea/coffee facilities were well stocked, teaspoons would've been helpful.

The location was spot on for me as it was very close to where I needed to go. The room was clean and the amenities, toilet and bathroom also clean and well looked after.

The bar area had a very strong and off putting smell, I presume it was something to do with the cleaning regimen. It was like an extra strong disinfectant type smell. I found it far too obtrusve and off-putting.

Very clean and tidy rooms. I normally don't Like a.shared bathroom but the facilities are kept very clean indeed! The staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly and professional. The bed very, very comfortable . A good and handy place to stay in Ryde.

My only slight inconvenience is there is no parking at the pub but really thats not their fault!!

We actually stayed 2 nights. But the staff were fantastic and nothing was a problem. Rooms were very comfortable and the beds were excellent for sleeping. Great food in the bistro and wonderful atmosphere.

Shared bathrooms but it is "Pub" style accommodation and goes with the norm.
