Terralong Terrace Apartments

Fantastic 2 BR apartment in a great location. The facilities were great and the apartment was very roomy. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a more of a suggestion than something we didn't like ... when staying in a serviced apartment, people often self-cater. The only supermarket in Kiama is currently closed for renovations. I understand this is temporary but this information would have been very helpful to receive prior to arriving, walking to the supermarket and finding it does not currently exist.

Loved everything about it. Spacious, comfortable. Had everything we needed and more! Like a home away from home. Location was central but set back from street noise. Undercover, designated parking. Close to shops and restaurants.

The stairs. We were on the top level. I know it can't be helped but having to take luggage up and down all the stairs was a bit tricky. And everyday having to climb 4 sets of stairs to the room wasn't ideal. Also, the heated pool...wasn't. We were a bit disappointed that it wasn't heated. The water was like ice!! The 8 year old jumped in anyway and got a shock. 😆.

Location was very central to food and attraction and shops, perfect! We only stayed a night but bed was comfortable and the whole unit was clean and spacious. Appreciated the facilities inside like washer and dryer and broom and mop. Would be most useful if we stayed for a few more days.

the entry point from the road to the driveway had a very high hump. Thankful that we had advance notice and went slowly but still scratched the bottom of our car quite hard. We ended up just parking on the street instead of in the garage. Maybe you need to get council to rectify that? Would have been nice with two bathrooms but at least there were two toilets. We were a group of two couples so it was nice to have the second toilet.

We liked the regular very efficient servicing of the apartment by the friendly ladies The location was ideal - within easy walking distance of Kiama shopping. We were regularly entertained by the noisy Rainbow birds on the balcony. The flat was very well equipped-everything you could possibly need on holiday. Clean towels & linen provided. The bed was very comfortable. .

We were disappointed with the mess Woolworth’s is in. (We have stayed at Terralong before)

The 2bdr spa room is great value. The place was huge! Big balcony. Lovely large corner spa with powerful jets - bring bath salts to enjoy it properly. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve a group or family meal. Smart TV in the main bedroom was handy. Indian restaurant JJ’s next door was really good, amazing food and service, you literally just walk 10 steps and you’re inside. You’re on the main strip so there’s lots of food options. Easy stroll to the blowhole and lighthouse. Best oysters and prawns at the local fisho down the bottom of the harbour!

There was no milk. Free tea & coffee but we had to have it black, which I thought was a bit weird since the apartment has everything else from washing powder to dishwashing tablets, toiletries, biscuits etc. There is a feedback form on the table so I made sure I wrote it on that. Housekeeping knocked 17mins before checkout time saying they’d finished, then another guy came up 10mins later to hurry us up again. They weren’t rude but I didn’t appreciate it prior to 10am, especially when I’d written a message to them asking for a 10:30am checkout. They said they were really quiet and had finished all the rooms, so it wasn’t as if they couldn’t offer 30min later checkout. It would be amazing if they had a heated pool or a spa/sauna combo as the pool is way too cold to use during winter.

The actual apartment was excellent: the laundry facility, the table for eating, the balcony comfortable sofa to relax on. Supplies of basic needs were welcome - it all made for a really good base to explore the area.

Though the information said there were steps and no lift, we did not expect 32 on narrow, direction changing stair wells. This number made us wish we had had more accurate information, as it would have been worth re-packing to one rather than 2 cases and extra food boxes. There is no staff on site and there is a mechanical check in - horrid, un welcoming and uninformative. We could not find our apartment and had we not come right on 2 o'clock when the cleaning staff were leaving, we would have been in trouble. On site presence is expected by most travellers for a personal welcome, local knowledge source and comfort that there is supervision for safety and security. This is a very poor aspect of our stay at a facility that otherwise ticked the boxes.

The rooms were exactly as pictured, the main bedroom mattress was very soft, so we did wake up quite sore the next morning. But the kids beds were great, the spa worked well & kept the kids happy. There was very little noise, so we could all sleep well as we are light sleepers, so this makes a huge difference, we were on the top story so you have 2 sets of stairs from the carpark to this level but it was a short easy walk with good lighting & the undercover carpark was just under the units. Overall we would stay here again, we appreciated that there was a large jug of cold water in the fridge, that was really helpful and there was an easy check in system so we didn't actually see any staff on check in it was all very easy & convenient with the local club only a couple of minutes walk away so that was also great for kids with a kids room, a good variety of meals & gelati also just down the street.

The main bedroom could have a better mattress, but apart from that everything was good.

The property was very well equiped, clean and my kids especially loved the pool and the spa (inside the accomodation). The location is excellent and so convenient to the grocery stores and main shopping strip. It was quite cold when we visited so had very limited swims, and opted for more spa baths. It was also nice to be given a replacement bath mat without needing to be asked (as the rooms are serviced regularly).

I tried to contact reception a few times as there was a slow drip coming out of the hot water system (which was located in the 2nd bedroom cupboard) and I wanted to let the mangers know, but no one answered the main number. There was also no one at reception the whole time we were there. Would have been nice to have someone on site if any issues arised.

The apartments are so centrally located, it was so easy to get around. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was so well set out our hosts had thought of everything to ensure our comfort during our stay.

The stair to get to the apartment ( old knees 😂) but the only real downside I found to the apartment was the bed kept unplugging the phone as the power points were just that bit too close to it. A minor inconvenience which did not detract from a great stay Thankyou 😃

Located at the start of the main street through Kiama and next door to Supermarkets and various restaurants the location was ideal. Walking distance to two surf pools, lighthouse and blowhole made for a good variety of walking directions each day.

The bed was soft and collapsing toward the middle of the bed making it a little uncomfortable. With current restrictions due to COVID having only one towel each for 5 of the 6 nights was not sufficient. We swam twice a day and also had a usual showering routine so the towel was constantly wet. Only made worse during wet weather when no alternate drying options were available.
