Kennedy Drive Airport Motel

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Recently renovated bathroom. Complimentary coffee pods to go with the coffee machine were very thoughtful and tasted great. Nice swimming pool. Well sound proofed, we couldn't hear anyone else in other rooms which was great. Great shower, nice and hot.

For our family, we like firm mattresses. The mattresses were very soft. We still slept well. The mattresses were new and not old and I realise some guests love a soft mattress, but not us. This would not stop us from coming back as the accomodation was fantastic and the room price great value.

We didn't like the place, we loved it. Where do I begin... The staff was welcoming and very helpful. Our room was upstairs. From the outside it didn't look very interesting but inside was another story. The room was spacious with a double sitter couch, small table and couple of chairs. Wi-fi was great and the TV had the perfect size. The bathroom was very comfortable and very clean. We felt like we were at our own home. Goodies provided in the room were a great touch and the coffee machine was our saviour in the morning. We didn't sleep in the bed , we slept on the cloud. The bed was just so comfortable. Only 7 minutes drive to the airport made our live easy the next day. Next time ,we will stay definitely much longer because there is so much to see in the area.

The room was lovely, well presented, clean... It was a cozy room with comfy beds, just what we needed for our short trip!

I thought this motel would've been far enough from the airport to not have air traffic noise, but unfortunately planes took off just over head. But of course, I completely understand that this can't be helped, and is likely an error on my end for figuring out the distance from the airport. One thing for improvement would be the doorway into the bathroom. There was a small 3cm-ish step up to the bathroom that I kept running into, as I didn't know it was there to start with and then kept forgetting was there. I'm not sure if all rooms have this, but my room was 123.

Location great for early flight - the reason we booked this hotel. Young couple hosting very friendly and helpful. Nice manner with us Nice to have option of beds in room.

The room on entering smelt quite smokey or the air smelt stale. Not sure if smokers had been in there. Having said that, the room was clean and comfortable. The noise from builders on neighboring property started early and the children screaming at day care over the fence (just playing noise) was loud .....not ideal but realise those things weren't the hotels fault but thought I'd mention it

You know when you have had a long drive, all you can think about is a tasty meal, glass of wine, comfortable bed, pleasant clean room and surrounds, and welcoming receptionist. I was pleasantly surprised to find the entrance to the small office was decorated with pretty plants and on entering, a friendly face to check me in and... a fridge stocked with colas, wine, beer and fruit drinks and...a freezer cabinet with my favourite icecreams. YUM. Thought I was in paradise! My room 114 (ground floor), was very roomy, clean, sparkling bathroom, microwave, and best of all, a Lavazza coffe machine including the coffee pods. Smart large TV with excellent reception. I ordered dinner in from a terrific Thai restaurant (sorry, don’t recall the name) found it on Door Dash. So all in all my overnight stay was so comfortable. I throughly recommend this family Motel and as I frequently travel from Sunshine Coast to Nambucca Heads visiting my daughter, Kennedy Drive Motel will be my 1st choice everytime.

That I could only stay 1 night!

The cleanliness mainly, but also the comfort and location was fantastic. I don’t think I have seen a cleaner hotel room ever. Not a speck of dust anywhere, the cleanest bathroom, down to the bricks on the walls, which looked as though they had all been sprayed with a gurni. Spotless. It’s very cosy / homely when you walk in, everything is well thought out, and for a standard sized hotel room, there was enough space. Everything is well laid out, power sockets/ boards located where you need them! Tea and coffee, plenty of milk! (you often never get enough) free biscuits to go with your cuppa! We thought that was a very nice touch - thank you 🙏 also microwave as well - very handy. There are also snacks available for purchase. We found the bed very confortable, nice clean soft sheets and a very comfortable mattress - usually they are quite firm. The location is excellent. It was a $19 Uber from the airport, and a $12 Uber to beautiful Kirra beach where we headed for when we left the next morning. If you have children there is a fun looking games room for kids. Honestly, for the price we paid it was better than expected. We were pleasantly surprised with everything. It is a small family run business and the extra care and effort they put in shows and really makes a difference.

Nothing really, just a suggestion though - we arrived really late in the evening and I hadn’t eaten dinner, so maybe some vegetarian noodles, Mi Goreng or microwaveable Mac n cheese pots would be good. I was looking for something to eat and the convenience store had some, but cancelled our Uber delivery order. If you had something like that I would have bought it.

Really amazing details - like the Lavazza coffee machine, the coffee and food, the included breakfast treats, the care and obvious attention to details, the sense of humor (Basil Faulty cartoon in the bathroom). The check in and experience with staff, so friendly. Clean rooms and clean beds. This has all the makings of a 5 star, without the price. Truly amazing value. Our 2nd stay and there will be more. If you want 5 star service without the price, this is the place. Our family (kids and couple) enjoyed the stay. Hard to believe this is a motel. I have stayed at 5 stars all around the world, they could learn from these people. Well done!

Beds were a little too soft for us, maybe others may like them...

Clean premises and grounds. Nice little pool and fully stocked reception area if you needed a treat or anything to drink. We enjoyed the complimentary water, milk and fast wifi (was incredibly helpful) Room was also really well serviced and clean. Had all the equipment you need including toaster and microwave. Bathroom was fully stocked for our stay and they even had an option for things like sewing kit, shaving packs ect extra if you needed them. I appreciate the fact that the whole complex was also strictly smoke free. One thing I will say is if/when you fly in to Coolangatta airport although they’re five minutes up the road, Tweed heads is running on NSW time which is an hour difference. Bare that in mind.

The only thing I will say is that it was sort of loud outside. Could hear people going out of their rooms at night ect. (not the property’s fault that’s on individuals) but other than that everything was good.

Surpassed expectations for a hotel room at this price point. Receptionist on check in was kind and polite asking about our days and offering toothbrush/paste when me and my partner figured out we'd forgot ours. Room was exceptionally clean, not one spot of mold even in bathrooms, carpet and beds were clean and fresh too. Complimentary bottles of water, coffee biscuits, espresso machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and big (for the room) flat screen smart tv with Netflix etc. Bed was extremely comfortable! Best hotel I've stayed in at this price point

The room was very tidy with comfortable beds. The complimentary water bottles and snacks were lovely gestures and a nice touch to our stay. When checking in the gentleman in the office was friendly and gave us suggestions as to where to go for a great breakfast before we head off to our next destination. The staff were really helpful and polite. We will definitely be back in future. Please continue to deliver the same level of great hospitality and service.
