Calico Court Motel

The location was great ! The staff were very helpfulness. The parking. Plenty of parking. We could walk to the shops. The bus stop was right outside practically. I could leave the car there all day & walk or get a bus to Tweed Heads / Coolangatta. I liked the fact that the weather was kind to us & I could sit outside my room in the sun & read or play my ukelele. Daniel on the reception was very informative & helpful.

When I tried to ring & tell the staff about leaving my musical instrument there, I seem to be put onto Booking.Com rather than be able to speak to a staff member straight away. Very frustrating!😆 All was resolved 😎👍

Location was an easy drive to Coolangatta Tweed clubs restaurants etc. We are very familiar with the area so Calico Court suited our needs perfectly. As the motel has about six rooms on a second level older travelers should request a ground floor unit when booking if required. Spacious clean unit and friendly staff. We would recommend this establishment for short stays of one or two nights.

There were a few cockroaches in the room and the lounge super uncomfortable. Dispensers in the bathroom could be refilled. Unable to access powerpoint beside the bed for my phone.

Bathroom was obviously recently renovated and the carpet looked new. Curtains were good quality if somewhat dated and bed was extremely comfortable. We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. We would choose this place if we had to visit Tweed Heads again.

Comfortable lounge suite was a bonus but showing its age a bit although certainly not a huge issue

The room was comfortable but we did have some issues.

The room smelled very strongly of chemical room deodoriser. The bathroom door was damaged and was difficult to close. We reported both of these and the receptionist said they would look at them.

Service is 5 star. Daniel the manager is the best. So lovely and accommodating with any needs or requests. Have stayed many times here and there is nothing I can fault; definitely no "Faulty Towers" for anyone with background on this English comedy to understand what I am referencing! Would recommend to all friends and family.

Management made us feel welcome. We found the road noise not all that unbearable. The room was remade well and you felt relaxed When you returned from a tiresome day.

All above plus the location was ideal.

no cutlery or crockery even though there was a microwave. parking arrangements… someone parked behind me and I couldn’t leave when I needed

Just a suggestion... for covid reasons. The 2 old fabric chairs should go out & the 2 old bed blankets that are not used anymore should go also. Light fixture needs fixing.
