Hotel Mariahilf

The staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the flair of the old building. The breakfast was good, and the location is great for seeing the old town, close to the famous floating island.

The room I had booked was in the attic, and when I had made the reservation in April, I had not thought about the possibility that it would be over 30 degrees. Fortunately, at midnight it had cooled down enough that by opening the roof window as much as possible it was okay to sleep - but unfortunately, some people on the street just outside were talking very loudly (and at some point even turning on music) until 4 am - and it was not possible to sleep with the window closed. Perhaps I'll have to pick a hotel in a quieter part of Graz next time, even if it's less nicely located.

Already 5th time in this hotel. Perfect location, just 5 mins walk to old town. Hotel is in a nice quiet street with little shops and bars etc. Granted it is a bit old style inside but really clean and the rooms are very large. Somehow it has a special flair. Breakfast is super. Staff very friendly. Very nice bar next to the reception. There is nothing to complain about. Perfect hotel for a city break and hotel prices are very reasonable.

If I had to pick something: in the very large bathroom there is a bath and no shower. A shower curtain for the bath would help. Very hard to take a shower without a curtain, floor all wet.

Absolutely perfect location! Close to all the main sights as well as the city centre, Mur Insel, Schlossberg, etc, Also great that you can leave your luggage before check-in or after check-out, very friendly staff and really great value for money 👌🏼and breakfast is included in the price and offers a good selection to start the day with a smile :)

It's not really something to complain about, because it was my choice to book a bargain deal since I just stayed for one night this time, but since it was hot, the mansard room was pretty hot and stuffy. But there was a fan 😊

Everything was OK. The room was clean and spacious. The soap in the bathroom ran out - the room service immediately sent and replaced it. Very attentive to customer needs. The position of the hotel is central, there is a parking for a fee - which is central too and 2 minutes from the hotel. ( before you go to the parking, call the hotel and they will redirect you with the procedures for it). The only minus is the fact that there was no mini fridge in the room, to put some water to cool down. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I recommend 100%.

A great HOTEL ( with all capitals ) in the heart of the old town of Graz. Superb. Walking distance of literally everything ( including the Graz Hbf. train station ). Beautiful old town surroundings. Love the building and the interior as well. Just as the staff. Very nice people. The room ( no. 101 ) was cozy, very good sized with an extremely comfortable bed and a huge TV set ( 48" ) which we could watch a few World Cup 22' matches on after exploring Graz. Superb breakfast. Large variety of groceries, fruits, various spreads ( like the hummus and the pumpkin seed spread ! ). Fantastic high quality - professional - coffee machine for a supreme morning cappuccino or latte, even hot chocolate. Crispy and warm sweet and salty bakery products. The possibility of boiling eggs to your own taste is also great. The breakfast waitering staff was kind and professional. I admire them for not trying to cut corners with the quality of the coffee, food or even the size of the TV set. Everything's just like a hotel should be. We'll be back with my wife for sure !

Great location, excellent value, friendly staff. The room was large and clean, breakfast good.

The building had some less-than-modern features, like creaky floors and radiators that were hard to regulate. Open the windows, but lots of street noise -- inevitable with such a central location. The bathroom had a tub with a slippery, slanting floor. I was afraid of falling, so I never took a real shower or bath. There was internet, but it was unsecured so I didn't feel comfortable using it.

The hotel is located in a charming street with a lovely square in front where you can sit for a glass of wine or dinner. The location is fantastic and the entire hotel has a retro vibe charm. We were going to a concert to Orpheum theatre so it was great because it was only 5 minutes away on foot.

It was a bit noisy, you can hear cars passing by and people talking in the street. Also, i think the info about parking space should be presented more clearly - it exist but you have to pay for it.

Hotel Mariahilf is in a great location situated beside a main tram stop and within walking distance of everything in the centre of Graz. It is a large, quiet and spacious hotel. The staff throughout the hotel were really friendly and jolly. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice for everyone. Also, there is a cosy bar attached to the hotel.

There is no air conditioning and the room was very very warm.

We spent in the hotel just one night but it was really good experience. The hotel is placed in the city center and because of this it's a nice starting point for sight seeing purposes. There is also a parking place in the garage - with special discount from the hotel side. Breakfast was very tasty - lots of different things to put on your table ;-)

For some people a room COULD be too hot in case of tropical nights... not sure if other rooms contain air condition...

We loved that there is a family suite option. Yhe beds were reqlly comfy and the TV was massive. This was a very good breakfast as well. Also the location is very central and easy to get to major attractions. We really wish we could have enjoyed the bar, but didn't get a chance.

The walls are a bit thin but that's normal for an old building and there was only one bathroom in the suite so you had to be careful not to disturb others in the room where it's located. All tolerable things but posting here for transparency.
