Thermal-Badhotel Kirchler

It is the fifth year in a row that I choose this hotel to stay during the summer, which says a lot. I appreciate its exceptional position with the rooms overlooking the glacier, the fine food, the impeccable service, the swimming pools. Excellent ratio between price and quality. The rooms with a view of the glacier offer a dreamy image.

The hotel has 2 bodies that communicate with each other. As I wrote last year, in the smaller building the balconies do not have flowers, a specific characteristic of the houses in Tyrol. I don't understand why the managers ignore these balconies, would it cost too much to have planters with flowers on these balconies as well?

Amazing staff, everything was better than we expected. Due to weather conditions and traffic, we arrived in the night. And we found a snack prepared for us (instead of the dinner we missed). We were welcomed in our mother tongue which was another nice surprise. Everything was clean, food was delicious. Rich breakfasts.

There are several ski racing teams in the hotel (kids' teams) who are very noisy and behave badly. They made a noise from 6 am and later than 11 pm. No chance to sleep. Of course, it is not about the staff educating them (trainers didn't care). But would recommend to the hotel staff to separate them from other guests strictly. We didn't have any chance to rest and left the hotel very tired. It is not what we expected from our weekend in the mountains.

1. the mattress was not comfortable; the bed creaked 2. I appreciated the hotel accept dogs and I knew from the beginning I have to pay for our dog a tax, but I didn't know how much. Of course, it is our fault we didn't ask. But, when the price is 13.6 euro/day (included taxes), I preffer to be written on booking.com the amount. It was unexpected and an unpleasent surprinse at the end when I had to pay for dog, for three days, 40.8 euro. But, because I should ask, my rate didn't reflect this aspect. It is just a recommandation for the hotel to write the tax on booking.com

The hotel is fabulous and I would strongly recommend it. The room was very spacious and pleasant, with an amazing view of the valley, a shower and a bathtub, a walk-in wardrobe, and two nice sitting areas. The wi-fi speed was excellent. Breakfast and dinner were included in the price (apart from drinks), as was a snack in the late afternoon. All was very tasty. The staff were very friendly. There is a good pool (although it's often dominated by loud children) and a superb relaxation area with two saunas and a steam bath.

Although the meals were all very tasty, it would have been even better if they were a little more imaginative, but that's a minor issue.

The hotel is located close to the cable car and has a big parking lot. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room is a good size and the balcony is shared. The sauna and indoor pool are great and the food is amazing. A nice surprise was the included snack in the afternoon in addition to breakfast and dinner.

Parts of the hotel are outdated and in need of renovation. This applies to the rooms and common areas of sauna and pool. The toilette in our room was separate from the rest of the bathroom and had no sink. The Wifi is not available everywhere and has a weak signal. You have to pay for coffee at breakfast and drinks at dinner. This was an unpleasant surprise.

Fabulous view from the pool. Very nice breakfast with a variety of homemade food. Rooms nice, clean, quiet, beds comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. The ski room perfect - spacious, proficient. The ski bus is only a couple of meters from the hotel.

Better organization at the dinner (the first day we were not sure how it works - buffet/a la carte) + many waiters but we had to wait quite a time sometimes to order drinks. Some austrian meals were let's say a bit unexpected combination...:). Atmosphere at the sauna was not very relaxing (could be also due to many people there)

The staff were simply wonderful. People in the reception were very helpful with all my questions and needs. The restaurant's waiting staff, everyone without exception, were very pleasant and although the restaurant was almost full and the staff were very busy and running, they were just always there when I needed, were very attentive but without overdoing it, and quick to react to requests. Thanks a lot! Everything else was great, including the location close to the bus stop.

It would have been great to have the cheese plate in the buffet refilled during dinners, because some cheeses disappear very quickly and then you don't see them until the next dinner. Nothing else, everything else was great.

Food was superb, some of the best in Austria. Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable. Hotel had character.

Spa facilities getting refurbished so not available. Music choices in restaurant and bar a bit random & not really in keeping with general vibe.

We were hoping to get some ski/boarding time on the glacier but there was rain and a whiteout. Still, the Thermal-Badhotel Kirchler was a treat. Although it is a little dated, it was an incredible deal with the room including breakfast, a large snack (basically lunch), and dinner included. We enjoyed the spa and found the staff very helpful.

We were a little surprised that the bath at the Thermal-Badhotel Kirchler wasn't actually hot. It is a swimming pool at about 82 degrees. having said that, the spa was very nice.

New pool is lovely and a great addition and very much enjoyed the choice of food at dinner

I really don’t have anything bad to say about this property. It was amazing value for money and the facilities were top quality compare to other hotels in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised.
