The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna

facilities, service and stad were amazing.

The spa was a disappointment. There Was No possibility to take a warm bath. Water in the pool was too cold as well.

We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff , they were extremely helpful from the front door to reception /dining room /bar I celebrated my birthday whilst staying at the Ritz obviously the receptionist recognised this from my passport so on the morning of my birthday a birthday cake complete with candle arrived and the staff serenaded me with the “ happy birthday anthem “ Later that day when we arrived back from our day sightseeing a bottle of Champagne and another birthday cake awaited us in our room I was amazed with this kindness it made me feel very special. The concierge was very helpful and arranged sight seeing and theatre tickets and also booked us for dinner at Gasthaus zur Oper which was lovely .

We loved our trip to Vienna and we admit that we could not find anything not to like about this beautiful city .

we were informed of the secret bar, we found it ... but it was not open during our three day stay

we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, everything was so nice staff, very comfortable bed, convenient and near the Center .. this hotel was indeed very nice.

I expected more variety at breakfast, and wished there was a jacuzzi in the pool, and the top floor overlooking the city is unfortunately closed at the time of my stay.

The Ritz Carlton had some great people and facilities. Welcome champagne on arrival was a great start to the week. The room was great, sizeable and a comfy bed (even had a small terrace!) …The staff in the lounge and in the D Bar were exceptional (Alex, Francesco, Samuel..and sorry to those we have missed). they remembered us and what we liked drinking. Alex in the D bar gave us a private Whisky experience which was just a great thing to do). A really fine hotel and a very enjoyable stay, Please don’t see the negative comments as negative , just disappointing as staying here was a real treat for us and we wanted to enjoy everything that was on offer

Really disappointed with the “Rooftop Bar”….not that we saw it . There was a private event on the Monday , the weather stopped it from opening on the Tuesday and on Thursday it was another Semi Private event (with the emphasis that you cant come in , rather than we will find space for you as you are residents of the hotel)……Please Ritz Carlton Hotel, do not offer it as as something for guests if we can’t use it (and yes, i do know that Corporate events are important to Hotels and i am fine with that…just don’t sell it as a service if you cant offer it).

Everything is great. Executive lounge is a great plus since we have a 5 years old, it’s very convenient to have light food and drink, and rest in the lounge after a long walk in the city. The staff are super helpful and super nice to the children.

We didn’t know there is an extra charge to eat breakfast at first floor restaurant. It wasn’t clear that we are supposed to eat the breakfast in the executive lounge. So I was surprised when check out, but the Hotel mention they will ask to waive the cost and did refund the cost after few days. It’s actually turn out to be a warm experience.

Excellent breakfast with lots of options. Friendly personal service, with the opportunity to order from an ala carte. Friendly staff. Hotel quite near to a metro stop. The whole hotel seems to be scented, which is pleasant but odd. The gym downstairs is well-equipped for most people, swimming pool is large enough for a little swim and some lounging around. Loads of options for food and drinks, surprisingly fairly priced. Surprisingly not obscenely expensive for a single room during a time when all the hotels in the area were booked.

Had a weird experience at the steakhouse, where they forgot my order after a wait and brought the wrong wine. In the end I got a partial refund, that was fine. The whole commotion seemed to be because of a table of entitled russian tourists causing mayhem and hassling the waiters near my table.

The SPA and the location

There was no touch of luxury. It was a good business hotel, I would expect more from Ritz.
