SUN & MOON, Urban Hotel

Great, clean hotel in centre of Phnom Penh. Staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Restaurant is good, there is a sky bar and swimming pool in roof area

They asked for a $90 deposit to cover bar drinks, meals and other incidental expenses. I incurred $74 of expenses. They refunded the $16 difference. However they then took 3 x times $74 from my card. A week later they refunded me 2 x $74 so we are all square. This seems to be because of a clerical error. My advice to travellers is to pay as you go and do not give them a deposit for meals, drinks etc.

Pool was super nice. Great to chill and relax. the spa was great, felt professional. Rooms were modern, well designed and very comfortable.

The location is in the steady bars, girls sitting outside waiting to be picked. lots of old white sex-pats walking around. 211 (our room) doesn't have a window to outside. it does have a window to the hallway and there is not film so people can look directly in.

The Sun and Moon while overall is worth considering for your visit to Phnom Penh due to its location near many local attractions plus the benefit of a rooftop pool and bar which is a blessing due to the hot and humid weather. Just be aware that there are some trade offs.

The level of room design and maintenance could be improved. Simple things like better cleaning, TV not connected properly and weak WiFi shows the lack of management oversight. The quality of the breakfast buffet was pretty poor and may reflect local taste and standard. Certainly not up to international hotel standard. The other non-hotel related issue is outside the hotel at night. In the surrounding streets there are numerous girly bars with working girls touting for business. I was also accosted by a local man offering to provide sex with young girls that was quite shocking and illegal. So be warned if you stay here.

everything was perfect that’s why we chose to extend our holidays so we paid with credit card the extra days but sometimes some reasons make you out of your plan so we need to cancel our reservation miss Vonica Spun manager of the reservations understood our problem and when we left the hotel after 1 week we received our money to our bank account for a country like Cambodia that’s was a pleasant surprise…. we want to thanks all the stuff and specially miss Volika for our comfort stay we definitely come back next year

nothing bad the place give access to interesting areas oh the breakfast and the food was amazing

The hotel is very nice and clean, the rooms are contemporary, the bed is very nice. The staff are friendly, but they will abide by their rules. The breakfast was nice.

Only 2 things: 1- everything costs extra, my daughter asked for some water when I was at the pool, they gave her a small bottle and charged my room $4. I think they could be a little more relaxed with their pricing. 2- the internet was the only real problem, only limited number of devices can connect and even then, some lose their internet, and we have to log in again. After a few devices, you will not be allowed to connect any more devices to WiFi. I am hoping the management fixes the internet issue as soon as possible.

Breakfast was outstanding. The service at the front desk and the dining area were very pleasant and efficient. The spa area and pool were great amenities to have on site. Location of the hotel was perfect. You can travel to a lot of locations easily on foot. Guards in the front are very helpful. House keeping was great at consistency with giving water. There is also a water source at the door for reusable bottles.

The TV services were outdated and poor signal quality for such a modern hotel. Internet access for the TV was not available, so streaming services couldn't function.

I kept extending my stay here, so I have already written a lengthy review. To keep it somewhat short: I really liked this place. It was well SOUND-PROOFED, good construction/design, GREAT MATRESS, good location (central, lots of stores, restaurants, nightlife, river nearby), GREAT GYM, great staff. The best "nice hotel" in this area for the price. I was on a long working vacation and got a lot done here. Good internet and good desk/workstation. There was a busy street corner a few floors down from my giant window, and I heard nothing. If I was on a work trip but didn't want to spend loads on a major chain hotel - I would come here every time. (I tried a few other hotels in the area that were less expensive, but there were too many issues with noise, dodgy WIFI, depressing decor etc.) This place checks all the boxes.

My room could have used a bit more lighting. It was okay - just a small gripe. The hotel restaurant menu was not so interesting and was a bit over-priced. Otherwise, I would have taken most of my meals here. (I stayed for many weeks.)

Great place. I ended up living here for 5-6 weeks after noise issues at other local hotels. Gracious staff and good atmosphere all around. Thanks to excellent soundproofing, I could work and sleep as needed. My room was spacious, with excellent aircon, excellent wifi/internet and comfy mattress/bed. One of the best gyms I have ever seen/used in a hotel in this price range. Nice rooftop pool and bar. I highly recommend this place for a working vacation or longer-stay business trip - especially if you need to be centrally located. Actually, I would recommend this hotel for anybody. A peaceful oasis in a lively location.

No real complaints. Maybe restaurant/bar menu choices could have been more interesting and a bit more economical.

Very comfortable room with big bed, lots of space. This is modern hotel so more functional and convenient than charming so probably good for one or two nights max. The staff where lovely and attentive, I don’t understand the reviews that say they were not.

The infinity pool area is let down by lots of pigeons - not the hotel’s fault but true nonetheless! It wasn’t a particularly attractive poolside area. I can’t speak for the outside of the hotel at night as I stayed in my room.

Beautifully designed hotel rooms in amazing colors. Sustainable concept and everything thoughtfully arranged. Rooms, pool and spa are very clean and the staff was very attentive and super friendly. Skybar had an amazing view and beautiful LED spots changing colors. I Breakfast choice was good. Scrambled eggs had to be ordered, everything else was in buffet style. Air conditioning was not working in the breakfast room but the exceptionally helpful staff pushed mobile air conditioning around to make it as comfortable as possible.
