HARI Residence & Spa

I have travelled all over the world and stayed in some of the nicest hotels. To date, the staff were the nicest I have ever met. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I was greeted with a smile and a complimentary drink and snack when I checked in. The room exceeded my expectations, and I loved the view from my balcony. The room was way bigger than I anticipated and the bed was so comfortable. I loved the pool and all the facilities. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was. Traveling alone, I felt so comfortable and at ease.

If I had to say one thing, it would be that I wish I were given two keys. As I had to bring my own milk and leave it in the fridge and keep the key card in the room to keep the fridge running. Also, the fridge never really got cold. In hindsight, I should have asked the staff to help with that.

The massage in the hotel is beyond excellent. I had the same lady for 4 nights and she did a professional job. Even better when it’s 20% off for residents. The breakfast is also very good. You can order your ice latte and fried eggs and noodles to your liking. Variety is limited but quality and service is good. The front desk staff are very respectful and friendly. May need improvement in their English but overall is ok. They upgraded me to a very spacious room which is facing the street but not noisy. The aircon is super powerful and you will need it in Siem Reap. The hotel is showing its age but the management is very good and did a good job to provide excellent service. I had a wonderful experience for 7 nights and thank them for looking after me. The location is good too. Just a few minutes walk to Pub street. Overall, big value in this hotel and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The bathroom smells a bit of sewage. I think it’s from the drainage. When the exhaust is on, it’s fine. You can smell it when you are out for a few hours. The TV reception and the TV set itself can be upgraded. I don’t mind as I have my iPad.

Good clean rooms, well maintained, and great facilities, including a spa and massage options. Breakfast and dining options were varied and always met my expectations. Excellent location well within walking distance of all the attractions within Siem Reap itself including a number of markets and entertainment. The staff are superb. They could not do more for you if they tried, and I really cannot stress that enough. They even managed to recover my mobile phone for me when I foolishly left it in the transfer taxi from Phnom Penh within 45 minutes! Transit and travel further away from Siem Reap such as the Angkor temples, etc, are easily arranged within the hotel at very reasonable prices, and the staff will get this right first time every time. A very special mention to Kim who is the only person I have ever met who does not seem to possess the ability to frown! A great stay and highly recommended.

The only downside is the noise pollution caused by the neighbourhood dogs. It is irritating and unfortunately outside of the control of the hotel. This affects those rooms that are located on the west side and outside facing only.

The pool was amazing and the view was amazing as well. The room was had plenty of space with a fantastic soft king size bed, the balcony was really good with the little swing on it. The breakfast was delicious with a good balance of local dishes and western dishes and 10 out of 10 for quality of the food

There was nothing not to like about this property, All services were 10 out of 10 and this experience will bring me back time and time again. Thank you for a wonderfully holiday at the Hari residence and Spa. I will definitely return in the future

We was lucky to get an upgrade. And our room was very big! We had everything we needed and more. As we always do we checks for bedbugs and nothing there, it was really clean! Lovely bathroom and shower with good pressure and hot water. Breakfast was different each day and had a big selection to choose from. Pool was clean and crisp. The staff was very helpful and kind. Thank you Kim and Chean(?) I think that was her name. We also used some of their tuktuk drivers, highly recommend Chen.

Just some small upgrades would be nice but nothing I did think of. Example new wall paint, new curtains (some had small stains), maybe a rack for the towels to hang on that was not in the shower. Other than that nothing to complain about.

Very friendly and helpful staff with good English who can assist you with a variety of stuff including booking drivers and tours. The hotel is a short walking distance to 'Pub Street' which is basically an area filled with decent restaurants for expats and tourists. The hotel even has its own tuk-tuks right outside for getting around if you need them.

A naughty dog in the area next to the hotel would bark loudly occasionally and let's just say I didn't need an alarm clock with the friendly neighbourhood rooster providing early morning wake up services. It's not a problem specifically with the hotel though as there are just lot of dogs and chickens running around semi-wild in Siem Reap.

Buffet breakfast was excellent. I arrived hours early and the staff gave me a room to rest and shower in while waiting for mine to be ready. There were several such extra touches from this hotel. My room was huge, with a separate space off the bathroom for a deep bathtub and shower area. There was a balcony with large swing to sit in, and a couch in the room. I could walk to the best restaurants in Siem Reap and to a large market. The Royal Residence was also walking distance.

Staff were amazing, very friendly and helping. The place is well designed and rooms are big. The location is also great. We used the room service a lot which was decently priced and great food and service. Breakfast was also very good.

Room AC was too strong, it was either freezing or hot. It was also pointing directly on the working desk which made it hard to comfortably work there. Also wifi was not the best in peak hours (but it was decent for Cambodia I think). There was some bad smell in the shower that kept coming back.

Breakfast was great good variety of food to choose from, egg station was great and Kronsa made great coffee. 😀 Chean was such a delight and so lovely welcoming us back to the hotel and very efficient at helping us organise things. The pool was lovely.Was very close to town and the market and laundry options close. Would definitely stay here again😀

There should be covered bins in the toilet to put waste paper in as the toilet gets very smelly

Great hotel in a perfect location. Pool on the roof was lovely - and there is a bar and restaurant there too. There is a lovely shaded area under a tree on the top level - you can see Angkor Wat on the horizon. What a great place to chill out after a full day of visits to the amazing sites around Siem Reap. The staff were fantastic and so welcoming - what a lovely team. They were also great at setting up tours - amazing guide! Such a pleasure staying here.

Rooms with windows onto the central well-area are cool (temperature) but don't have little natural light.
