Hyatt Regency Toronto

The Room achieves our expectations. The reception was the best part because the receptionist at the front desk, called Victoria, was very kind and polite to us and help us with informations about the city.

The Break Fast and parking should be included in the hotel price. It can be good for the hotel to be more attractive to tourists. The hotel could provide early check-in to help some tourists when they have flight problems.

Could have had more on reception at 4 pm when everyone booked in

Location is great! Loved the pool area. Our maid was awesome!

Air conditioning was poor. Even at 16°, it was humid and not cool in the room. Absolutely no ventilation in the bathroom. Also, couldn't watch Blue Jays in 30 on TV in evening to see replay of our awesome time at the game. ;) Also, $30.00 breakfast was way overpriced. We did it once, then went to Sunset Grill for much cheaper breakfast. With a 500+ a night hotel room, we were expecting more.

Pretty good location. Very close to CN tower. Right in the middle of downtown. The picture and the description says it's a high rise building and view of CN but that's deceiving. All the buildings around are much taller and there's no view and all the windows have some kind of pattern so you can't actually see anything outside. But rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. Overall, I would recommend this place.

There was no Chromecast on the TVs or any other means to watch Netflix or Prime. They said there would be but there wasn't. When we called the reception they said they're sending someone to fix and we waited for an hour and no one showed up. Also, the windows in the rooms have a weird pattern glass so you can't see anything outside. So there's no view from your room.

Top marks must go to Sujin Kim who checked us in. Our initial room had a humming noise coming from an unknow source. We mentioned this to Sujin and she changed our room straight away. She was also so kind in emailing us when our delayed luggage finally arrived at the hotel. A great asset to the hotel. Mr.Neel Dharamshi, the room supervisor, followed up on this issue. This Hyatt hotel really puts its' customers first.

The staff was great and very accommodating given the fact we had to change rooms due to a leak.

The fact our room had a leak interrupted our night. The room we were originally given was a 2 queen bed room. They wanted to upgrade us to a suite but it only had 1 bed and a pull out couch. We declined that room because we wanted 2 full beds. The room we later got was smaller, had two smaller beds and was not the same as what we had originally paid for. They did comp our room service and did provide us with tickets for complimentary breakfast which was very nice. I just wished our room was the same as what we had originally paid for. However, they did make up for it in multiple ways. Which I am happy with.

The hotel location is great. Mikka and Victoria at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful. The restaurant recommendations by the Hyatt Concierge in Toronto were all excellent.

The restaurant service needs improvement. We were sitting for about 45 min waiting for our order and had to leave without eating. They have new staff and didn't know what to do. The bathroom in the room was very small. There is little room or closet space to unpack your belongings.

Room was clean and neat and decorated nicely. Front desk staff were very helpful checking in and out. Parking was easy to access and for TO, fairly reasonable. Location was great to the Rogers Centre.

Lobby tables needed a wipe in the evening and the next morning. Bar staff (1) was a little light and could have used some help. The bar wasn’t initially packed after the event but certainly have benefited from longer kitchen hrs. We saw the local pizza delivery guys several times, filling the need.

It’s in a very central location, across the street from restaurants and the new Starbucks next door was super helpful for morning breakfast. Beds are sink into the mattress super comfy and the complementary toiletries were all perfect for my needs, going above and beyond your average shampoo, soap, and conditioner. It’s a 15 minute walk from Scotiabank Stadium, as well as Union Station, the CN Tower, theatre/cinema, museums, and the waterfront. Pretty great tourist traps in just about every direction. The staff were quick with managing anything I needed, including whipping up a new keycard when I misplaced mine, no questions asked. Made my stay super easy and stress free, which was perfect for a first time in the city!

The elevator was always super slow in the mornings and the Covid measures meant housekeeping didn’t make it to my room, as I was only there the 3 days. The room was always quite cold at night because there was some sort of air conditioning running under my suite door.

Check in staff member RAY was incredible! I usually stay at the Eaton Chelsea when I visit Toronto (and I visit often), but Ray's service has caused me to decide to make the Hyatt Regency my new regular hotel. I arrived VERY early before check in time and he happily gave me options that would allow me to have my room right away. One option was at no additional cost, the other was staying in one of their large, fancy Suites for a very low extra rate. I chose the suite. We loved the room so much. He was friendly, easy to talk to and made the Hyatt Regency my new home base every time I go to Toronto. Customer service is SO important to the experience of a guest and I cannot think of a single time I've had such good customer service in at least a decade. Thank you Ray! We will be back because of how welcoming you were to us!

$50 was supposed to be returned on my card but hasn't been yet. I'm hoping it does.
