Ventana Hotel Prague

The location was amazing for us to enjoy the New Year celebratins in the old square and the markets. The hotel provided complimentary drinks and snacks for the duration of our stay to celebrate NYE which was unexpected and fabulous. The room was lovely, large, comfy with all you should expect. We had a street view but it was very quiet due to the good glazing. The staff were exceptionally polite and professional and helpful too. We used the hotel airport transfer service to go back to the airport which gave us peace of mind as we were leaving very early.

Take out breakfast was very poor

After a long overnight flight from the USA we arrived at the hotel with a very warm welcome by the front desk staff. We were told they changed our room and we would like the new selection. They were oh so right, our room (#25) was a corner room, spacious, with views overlooking the Old Town Square Clock Tower and the spires of nearby Church of Our Lady before Týn. The included breakfast was very well done with plenty of selections and a cozy dining room. We were there for the Christmas Markets and the streets surrounding the hotel was crowded with market visitors and plenty of excitement, from inside our room, we heard no street noises, very quiet! This hotel is a gem, we totally enjoyed our stay.

The location puts you right in the heart of Prague -- wonderful for exploring Prague on foot, strolling around. The breakfast at Hotel Ventana far exceeded expectations. Hotel Ventana offers a full complement of hot and cold breakfast items (including scrambled eggs, breakfast meat such as sausage or bacon, and a warm breakfast side such as potatoes as well as cereals, fruits, yogurt, pastries, meats, cheeses, variety of juices, etc.). The staff in every area of the hotel were lovely -- warm, hospitable, and helpful. They arranged for a car to get us to the airport and were helpful answering questions about getting around.

This isn't a reflection on the entire property, but do want to note that our room had a tub that is raised significantly off the floor -- getting in and out was a bit of a gymnastics feat for a shorter person! :) The room description for the room we had says "bathtub designed by Philippe Starck" in the description in case you want to avoid this. Also, while the room was lovely and spacious (huge!), the carpet, bedding coverlet and decorative pillows were a bit dingy and could perhaps use a cleaning to freshen things up.

The hotel was a lovely place to stay, from the moment we arrived until we left nothing was a problem for the staff, so friendly and professional. The room was a great size and lovely to stay in. There was a mini bar in our room with prices very reasonable, The rooms we got fresh water and towels every day.The location was excellent,we had the old town square just at the end of the street. I would highly recommend and would stay here again on my return to Prague.

Breakfast was nice but should be more choice for a 5 star hotel.

2 minutes from old town square. It's a perfect location. Excellent staff. The breakfast was great. Bed was comfortable.

We arrived in a rental car. City traffic was challenging especially due to some roads closed for Christmas markets. Parking garage was at "Sister Hotel" a few blocks away. (7-minute walk back to the Ventana). Parking situation is understandable considering the limited city parking. They only accept cash to pay for parking and we had spent all of our cash the night before as we were flying out that morning, so we had to go to an ATM to get cash for parking.. (About 26 Euros a day)

its in the old town right at the center. astronomical clock is 5 mins walk and just behind the church of the plaza. The luxury shopping area is super close. I recommended this to my friends who will be visiting Prague in October. Special mention to Samir, trainee night receptionist, who is very nice also the lady in the morning. the other two guys in the morning shift needs more customer service training no hi or good morning. it gets noisy at night since it’s right at old town but u just need to shut the window. rooms are huge here and the breakfast by the way was one of the best ever in all my stays in Europe

The overall experience at the hotel was very good. From the friendly reception on arrival, where everything was well explained and the service was accommodating, taking care of our special requests. Despite the small lobby, it is well appointed and offers all the required amenities. The location of the hotel was fantastic, close to many main tourist attractions, restaurants and shops, and without needed to travel far to find some of the best sights in Prague. The room was also quite surprising, we had booked a superior room, without knowing the fit out of the room. The size was fantastic and the offer of the bottles of water were also welcome, there was also a well stocked mini-bar for all the required desires. The bathroom was well-appointed with many soaps and shampoos, and was also very clean. Our breakfast experience was simple, but a good selection of all the usual breakfast foods. From cold meats and bread, to cereals and fruits as well the pastries, everything that was desired was available.

The only negative point that I feel was necessary to raise was the quality of the shower, the water had an inconsistent flow. This was a disappointing given the remainder of positive points of the room.

The location is unbeatable for convenience to Old Town attractions. Hotel staff were incredibly informative and helpful, offering sight-seeing and tour recommendations without pressure, restaurant recommendations for both good local pub fare as well as fine dining; assistance with obtaining taxi to the train station; and even a small bag of fruit, sandwiches, yogurt, and water to take with us when we checked out before breakfast hours on our last day. The hotel breakfasts were continental buffet style with a few hot items, but very good quality and lots of variety The rooms were extraordinarily spacious by European standards, romantic, and luxuriously appointed.

There were no gym facilities, but a fitness center was located in a mall just a 6 minute walk from the hotel (though there was an entry fee of 350 koruna per day, and the gym was a little crowded). There was no hotel bar but there was a mini bar in the room and lots of restaurants and pubs just out the front door...

Ventana Hotel is in a very central location, a few steps away from the famous Astronomical Clock. The rooms are quite big with windows. Breakfast is excellent with a big variety of goods. The personnel is polite and very helpful. Furthermore, even the outside temperature was -5, inside the room the heating was excellent. The price per room is fair for all the amenities it offers.

Although the room was everyday cleaned, we found some small stains on the sheets. Furthermore, could have more sockets in the room, but was not a big issue. Worth mentioning that in the double beds there are two single duvets.

Absolutely fabulous hotel that could not be more central - just metres from Old Town Square and walking distance of most of the big attractions. Our room was incredible, so spacious and comfortable with incredible city views. Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel went out of their way to make a special birthday weekend away even more special and it was very much appreciated. We’ll definitely stay again when visiting Prague in the future.
