Ibsens Hotel

Lovely stay at Ibsens hotel - location is great and close to Metro station (make sure to stop at TorvehallerneKBH food market) , many restaurants around (Slurp Ramen Joint, Da Aldo Pizzeria, La Rocca), all attractions are walkable distance. Staff at the hotel were superb and helpful, cozy hour in the afternoon was nice bonus, room was good size and bed comfortable. You can buy magnets and postcards at the reception + they have maps of the city.

Improvement: luggage room situation can get tricky if hotel is busy as there's only one small lift and no stairs; some essentials could be added to the room - body lotion, maybe bathrobe/slippers; and stamps to send postcards !

Excellent location, could walk to everywhere we wanted to visit and lots of restaurants nearby, no need for the metro. Loved the downstairs reception and bar area. Nice decor and enjoyed their daily cosy hour with a free drink. We stayed in a small double room but it was still a decent size with space for luggage and getting ready in the mornings.

The walls were not soundproofed so could hear people in the rooms next door and in the corridors. I needed earplugs to sleep! Although it was much quieter on the Monday night.

Wonderful, friendly staff. Great location just a few minutes from Norreport station and in a lively neighbourhood. Sharp, modern design in the reception, and a hidden-away feel with the courtyards for dining etc. Room a decent size and well organised. Breakfast lavish. Just a great, welcoming feel all round.

The room itself felt a bit tired: shower that didn't drain properly, perma-stained toilet, bedding with slight marks, etc. Not a big deal but just not up to the high standard of the rest of the place. Might be time for an upgrade of the furnishings?

The staff at the front desk were incredible, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern, with lots of charm. The $30 breakfast was very good, as it should have been. They rent bicycles and were able to find a bicycle to fit my 11 year old daughter! Bicycling the city is not to be missed.

The lobby is cramped. The bicycles and breakfast should be more affordable. Enjoyed the concept of happy hour, but the hotel could have splurged on a craft beer. The hotel should also splurge on a free coffee in the lobby. Wish there had been a pool.

Great location close to Norreport station with direct train link to airport. Our room 256 was very spacious, comfortable and quiet despite being directly above the street corner. Staff were very attentive and lovely.

Very expensive hotel with some features eg. bathroom needing improvement (eg. shower door) - we have stayed in hotels which were also historic and older than Ibsens and they were able to remodel the bathrooms to be more efficient and comfortable to use. Breakfast, although good quality, could have had greater variety, given the price.

Fantastic location, easy to get there from airport (metro then short walk) can walk to all the sights, shops, restaurants, bars nearby. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, windows actually opened! Can leave luggage there after checking out. Didn’t eat breakfast there so can’t comment. They offer a free drink to customers in happy hour, the reception/bar area is really lovely and comfortable. Very welcoming place!

We booked a medium double room and it was very small, not really anywhere to put or hang stuff. Never stayed in Copenhagen before so maybe all hotel rooms are like this.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Our medium sized room was actually a lot smaller than we anticipated so we did ask to upgrade which improved our stay - the bed would've been uncomfortably small otherwise. Upgraded room was very spacious and the beds were very comfy. The hotel is in a great location (close to shops, restaurants and public transport) and we loved the free glass of wine provided during the cosy hour.

Medium sized room was smaller than we thought it would be as mentioned above. The shower could be improved - the water did not drain properly so there was a huge puddle by the end of the shower which spread all over the bathroom floor because there's no barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom (it's essentially like a large wet room).

This is a boutique hotel and it was perfect for my stay in Copenhagen. Actually I stayed twice in January. Location is amazing, close to everything. It is very easy to reach the hotel by metro from the airport. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. I would love to highlight Cecilia at front desk. She helped me with all my questions , needs , always with a smile on her face and willing to understand how she can best assist. I arrived both times early in the morning and the hotel has a luggage room where you can leave the suitcases and also safe locks for valuable items. I already recommended to other friends who intend to visit Copenhagen to stay at this hotel. Very comfortable beds and room was cleaned daily very thoroughly! Loved the inspiring messages on the stairs who invited guest to take them in order to have a healthy life style! :-)

location was perfect. walked all over the city from here. bedroom good size with a little office/ dressing area. Lovely idea to have Cozy hour where all guests get together and are invited to have one drink each. Very clean. Only downside was that this was the only place in the whole of Copenhagen where my Revolut visa card was not accepted causing me to have to pay extra over seas cost fir using my other credit card. no problems using it anywhere else. Also no offer from staff to refund the costs or give an explanation.

The breakfast was amazing! Lots of choices and also healthy minded. Even a cappuccino with oat milk was included. Clean and big rooms with good beds. Great location. Bikes are available (unfortunately didn’t use them because we were with our grandmother)

Rooms were a bit older so the sink and shower weren’t the best I’ve ever had but they were fine. Workers in the street at 7AM who made it impossible to sleep longer. Noises from the rooms next door.
