Scandic Copenhagen

Breakfast was super, nice selection. The location is superb. The staff was very helpful and polite. Four super fast elevators to the rooms. Overall a good experience staying at the Scandic Copenhagen.

To nitpick ; the beds squeaked a lot, even just by rolling on the other side, they could have been more comfy, only one thin pillow per person are not good for reading and when other doors on the hallway were being closed, the door to our room made a noice like someone were fiddling the door handle.

The hotel was brilliant, even prior to our stay I contacted them to confirm they had definitely received our booking and they had different options for different languages on the phone system so you were put through to someone who could speak your language. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered a room upgrade to a suite upon arrival for a small extra fee which we accepted and we were pleased that we did our room was wonderful. Beautiful views of the city including the lights at Tivoli Gardens. There was a high quality comfortable sofa bed in the living room with a table and chairs and a chaise lounge so plenty of space for relaxing. Our bed in our bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. We had breakfast every day of our stay which was usual buffet style food the only small issue we had is we don't eat bacon and they put bacon into the has browns and the scrambled eggs on some days which meant we could'n't eat them - I understand this is quite a specific issue and we are in the majority here not eating bacon, there were other food items so not an issue as such just a shame for us personally. The location was excellent a couple of minutes walk to the bus station, 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and Tivoli Gardens, lots of places to eat and drink and convenience shops are all right nearby and it is opposite the Planetarium.

We couldn't see if room service was available which we would have liked one evening, it may be available but we couldn't see anything offering it in the room or online.

Service overall, location

A lot of self service (ex. room cleaning is not every day until the guest's notice, picking up your meal if you want to eat in the room). In do understand WHY the hotel chose to do so, but from the perspective of comfort for a guest - from my perspective - I would have appreciated more attention and less self-service. Having said this - I would still choose your hotel when I travel next time. Reasons: location, facilities nearby, friendly staff. PS Shower is tiny and there is a lot of water on the floor after...

Breakfast buffet was very impressive, the staff also incredibly hospitable and helpful apart from one barman.

The gym is basic, dumbells up to 20kg is not really enough to work with. Another bench, some heavier dumbells maybe a 25kg, 30kg and 35kg and a small padded area for the weightlifting section. I was a bit disappointed that breakfast was so short In the morning, I missed this twice as I was out the evening before and wanted to sleep in. It would be nice if you could reserve some breakfast for later or if it went on until 11 on weekends

The breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold options. The room was a little worn, but was clean and was fine for a short stay. The location was excellent as it was short walk from the train station, so easy to get to and from the surrounding area.

The room was showing signs of it's age, with permanent fittings looking a little tired. There was very little space for clothing with no enclosed wardrobe, just a single rail. The view from the window was a little bleak, with aging and slightly run down buildings all around.

The junior suite was large. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 childen. The location is a short walk from the train station and Tivoli (about 10 mins). The breakfast was lovley and had a large selection of hot and cold food. Use the QR code in the room to book your time the night before. 9am is probably the busiest time but we still got a table.

We had to pay to store our luggage on the final day.

I had a pleasant stay and the room was nice and quiet. (Weekdays) Nice breakfast with plenty of choices. Spacious breakfast area. Parking was convenient with Q-Park garage under the hotel.

The floors and room is looking outdated, needs an update. This new standard with no regular cleaning of rooms, I'm not sure if this is a good thing regarding health. Rooms will get more dirty over time and to clean an entire room completely all over, i don't see that is possible between check-out and next check-in.

Breakfast was way beyond expectations! It could serve more than 300 people with no delays and the food options were a lot, satisfying both kids and adults with dietary restrictions. Personel was kind and helpful but due to the size of the hotel there was no feeling of connection. Renting a bike from outside of the hotel was very helpful as well.

The bar didn' t offer any hot snacks. Playroom was poor...

Excellent location, nice fresh rooms, friendly staff

Wasn’t a fan of the Danish beans and bacon at breakfast. Granola was lovely. The leg of the sofa bed was broken. When pointing this out to cleaner she said she’s been on to reception about it before but it’s still not fixed. Need to be fixed as someone could injure themselves.
