Hotel Louvre Richelieu

Fantastic location, close to the Louvre and within walking distance to many of Paris' attractions. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The staff were very friendly and helped with taking our luggage up the stairs to the third floor. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

There is no lift, only stairs which get quite narrow in certain parts. Reception is up past the first flight of stairs. This was fine for us but something to be aware of.

The location was good with lots of great places to eat very close by. We had a slight issue with the bathroom on the first night and it was solved within minutes and very graciously. Really clean too.

On the door it said to ring to check in -this would be a problem if phone had no e-sim or data not switched on. I had received an email about online checking in but hadn’t realised the checking in system. We rang the bell and it was fine but a slightly different note on the door to guests who have booked rather than just the notice to potential guests would be really good . We didn’t mention it at the time so didn’t give anyone an opportunity to rectify but rooms were a little warm even with air conditioner at its lowest!

Our stay at Hotel Louvre Richelieu was excellent. We felt calm and safe, the room was clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfy and cozy. And having a coffee machine with capsules and everything you need to make coffee early in the morning is simply priceless. For tea lovers, there was also a hot water kettle available with different types of tea. The location and the area are just perfect and allow you to enjoy the magic of Paris in peace at any time of the day. We will certainly visit again as well as recommend to friends

The location of this hotel is fantastic, we managed to walk to all the sights we wanted to see (Louvre, Musee D'orsay, Saint Chapelle, Eiffel tower, Champs Elysées, Latin quarter, Montmartre, Le Marais) however if you would prefer to travel by metro the nearest metro station is very close by. Despite being in such a central location the hotel is very quiet at night. We caught the Eurostar and found the half an hour walk to the hotel from Gare du Nord was fine - it is accessible by metro but we were happy to walk. We stayed in a double comfort room which was plenty big enough for our stay, the coffee machine in our room was a welcome addition! The bed was really comfortable and the room very clean. The staff were very friendly and provided a map when we arrived and explained the area to us. As other reviews mentioned there are a few stairs and no lift however staff were very helpful and carried our case so it wasn't a concern for us. Some great restaurants locally (Kodawari Tsukiji was fantastic and I would definitely recommend if you like Japanese food, we also went to Bistro Richelieu which is practically next door and had a nice meal although it was fairly pricey and not the best value compared to other places we ate at) and a supermarket about a minutes walk away. I would definitely recommend this hotel - particularly if it is your first time to Paris as it was ours. The central location makes it a perfect place to explore Paris from, thank you for such a fantastic stay!

The staff was helpful and answered ALL of our questions about Paris such as places to eat, metro, etc. The room is small but clean. Air conditioning worked wonderful!! Very quiet room. Awesome location, only a few minutes walking from the Louvre and also from 2 main metro stations. If you like Asian food, you'd love this place, as it has tons of Asian restaurants close by.

Only stairs, no elevator. No shower door, which made a big mess on the bathroom floor every time one took a shower. Small room, no mini fridge.

The location is great, the room was comfy but be careful there's no elevator and we had the to climb like 4 flight of stairs, including a flight of stairs inside the room itself. Considering that, the value is pretty good if you don't mind climbing stairs. The staff will help you with the luggage, and the room is cozy but comfortable, and the bed is great.

We had to cover the shower's drainage hole because bad smell came out of it if you used the tap. Also the bathroom is downstairs so that's a bit inconvenient. There was a problem with the soap dispenser

Yes the room is small but it has everything and a lot of hotels in Paris are small anyway. And hey there’s even a coffee machine! 5. Clean! I don’t know why there were bad reviews of the state of the rooms. My room was definitely clean.

great location, lovely friendly staff, very helpful. room was clean and bathroom nice and clean with a good shower. easy check in and out.

No extractor fan in the bathroom. Reception mentioned a mini bar as well but never found that, not that we really wanted it but the water that was supposed to be in it would have been good. didn’t try the breakfast but was on offer to be delivered to the room. No lift, wasn’t an issue for us but wound be for someone unable to walk up too many stairs especially as we were on the top floor.

We were in the upstairs room which was incredibly QUIET given the central and busy location. The facility is well decorated and very charming. The room was clean and appointed with quality furniture. The bed was VERY comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and maybe our favorite part of the hotel experience.

There is no elevator, so climbing the six flights of stairs to the room was a new experience, but we loved it.

First of all: we arrived early - staff was very welcoming and helped with the luggage and giving us thorough information about the area and location. Rooms are newly renovated, white sheets and bed linen (which I think always shows best how clean a place is) small but functional, coffeemaker in the room which is nice; the breakfast solution is solved very well (with a bag of items you can choose from and order the day before)

I guess it is nothing that the hotel staff could do or arrange better - anyhow what is good to know (and already mentioned by the hotel itself) is that due to the age of the property there is no elevator. The stairs are quite narrow and your luggage has to be taken up the stairs. Anyhow, at least for us, the staff took care of it and helped where they could.
